Hi,
Once that you download the package with all files you’ll need to unzip it and navigate inside it, there you’ll see a folder /code/ inside it is a folder called Newspaper-child, zip that folder and install it like a normal theme, then just enable it.

I believe that you are referring to use external feeds on your website. Most of the time those are used to display content from other website on yours.

Our theme do not requested any FTP folder has a security password, most of the time, those are host settings, so I believe that the host will be able to help you with this.

I am trying to install the Newspaper theme on the staging area of a client but I am having the following issue:
– the FTP folder has a security password
– I have install WordPress without problems
– but the theme and plugins can not be activated properly, they required FTP credentials to be installed
– I input the credentials but there is no field for the folder password so it does not work
How can I fix the problem?

OK I have resolved it.
Wordpress org hasn’t listed my video host on their service called oEmbed to “pull” the media from the page of the link I provide.
I’ve installed a plugin from Spotlightr.com that allows me to successfully use the html block
I’ve been using wordpress for 25 yrs almost and WordPress.org are always a little behind on things.. They haven’t yet listed screencast-o-matic either.
When searching my site in google, now and again, an Attachment page will show in the search results. The attachment page has the entire contents of several blog posts lumped into a few pages.

Why are these attachment pages showing, and how do I disable them from being created? I fear this could be severely affecting my SEO efforts.

Indeed, the theme provide by default the responsive version. Also it provides the mobile theme plugin that has a pre-made template that can not be edited, but it can do the mobile version faster then the responsive version.
Now, the mobile page templates, those are cloud templates made for mobile version, in this way you can have a different content/layout on mobile and you can edit it after your needs with the tagDiv Composer.
So our theme has in the end 3 possibilities for the mobile version:
1. Responsive version, this is by default when you install the theme and you do not use mobile page or mobile theme plugin.
2. Mobile page/template this allows you to create with tagDiv Composer and cloud a different layout and set different elements for mobile and iPad/tablet and it will overwrite the responsive version.
3. Mobile theme plugin, this is a light theme version for mobile that will overwrite the mobile page and responsive version if enabled.
So when you have a mobile page/template this will be used instead of a responsive version, but if you also have the mobile theme enabled, this one will override both of them.
How to combine them? Yes, this can be possible, for example the mobile page/template will apply only on that page or cloud template that is assigned. But what to do if you want to use a mobile theme plugin too? If you use mobile theme, in Gutenberg editor it is an option to disable the mobile theme in current post/page, if you use the option, then it will be use the mobile page/template (if is assigned) or the responsive version.
So in your case you can disable the mobile theme on the homepage -> https://i.imgur.com/NX57q4t.png or if you do not want it at all, disable the plugin or use it only for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/Grlz5Ee.png.

I am trying to install an RSS feed using the Feedzy plugin. I have a valid feed, as proven using W3C feed validation, and the feed comes in fine, but disappears after a while. I have set the cache to 15 days, etc. I know this isn’t a great place to post this, but wondering if anyone else using the Newspaper theme has had issues with an RSS feed, specifically Feedzy, and if using another, what works best for you?

Regarding the issue, Even after i install Yoast SEO, Same issue continues, When deactivating tagDiv Composer, the image is fetched perfect. But when tagDiv Composer activated, Curl Timeout warning comes. If i try multiple times to scrape then its fetched perfectly.

I just checked the website and now I see that the Instagram followers are correct -> https://i.imgur.com/197JFDl.png did you set theme manually?
In this case, what I can suggest is to remove the theme panel Instagram, and after that disable and delete the tagDiv Composer and tagdiv Social counter, after that go in Newspaper > plugins and reinstall them from there and set back the Instagram in the theme panel. Most of the time this is resolving this situation.
