I am using Newspaper theme. I have never used mobile phone version of this theme and AMP. My organic traffic and ad income have been falling for the last 2-3 years. Now I want to use both mobile phone version as well as AMP. Maybe this will help me increase organic traffic & ad income.
Before I do this, I want to learn the advantages and disadvantages and the steps involved in setting up mobile phone version of the theme and AMP.
Please advise and also share the related articles & posts in this regard. Thanks & Regards…..
Hi Anamaria,
How can I show this updated date info on AMP, I can see updated date on mobile theme but it is not showing on AMP.
Thanks,
Hello,
Seems you have the mobile theme and AMP are still activated on the website. Please deactivate those plugins and purge the cache a few times.
Usually, this problem is caused by the cache plugin, which doesn’t have the option for the mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Please disable the redirect from the mobile version to amp -> https://i.imgur.com/7Z7V82x.png using that option your visitors will never see the responsive version, only the amp version.
The AMP works better only with the Mobile Theme plugin. From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Please read all about AMP here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Documentation here:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
Please read all about AMP here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Note that you can not customize AMP so much, because it comes with its own design.
There are some settings in the Theme panel -> Mobile Theme and Dashboard -> AMP only.
You can not add a shortcode as in the TagDiv Composer. Please note that you can’t customize the AMP pages with the TagDiv Composer.
Make sure the redirect mobile visitors to amp option is disabled.
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/
Thank you!
Hi,
This option can be disabled only if you are using the mobile theme plugin – https://i.imgur.com/AxODtgi.png

Hi,
Content / Post Article is out of width on mobile display. We are not using mobile theme.
Please see screenshot , and article example (You have to view the article on mobile to see the problem. Tested on iPhone)

I see that the counter is correctly counting each refresh/open of the post -> https://i.imgur.com/DLpsYBp.png – https://i.imgur.com/Hx0xmmd.png I believe the problem is coming from amp https://i.imgur.com/4WIogjy.png normally the theme counter is not counting when the amp is enabled https://i.imgur.com/4WIogjy.png and I believe that most of the visitors are mobile users. I think that there is that difference.
Hello!
We tried to add the options in the TagDiv Composer, for the other mobile versions.
The files for the Mobile theme can be found here: wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/
I suggest you to use a child theme, because the child theme is not overwritten by the update.
Thank you!
Hello,
The mobile theme comes with its own templates/design for pages, posts, categories, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/3
The mobile theme requires the “265×198” and the “741×486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly.
This can be found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/N18dR3qZrh -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
Thank you!
Dear support
Please tell me how to change thumbnail size of mobile theme.
Regards

I thought i told what you did wrong H Tags must be in order not From H1 to H3 they must go in order… From H1>H2>h3>h4>h5>h6 but at mobile theme as the logo is H1 we need to define H2 before moving to H3 thats why i am asking any solutions for it… May be you can show me where to edit in code Grid Headings and Latest Articles all have H3 Titles… So want to make grid H2 so the hierarchy will be correct… And Hopefully you can add an oportunity to make peaople change the H-Tags at mobile as they wish…
Hello!
The mobile theme does not have as many customization options as other mobile versions.
Please provide more information about what we did wrong. So we can fix it.
Thank you!
Mobile theme is something you did, and you accept you did it wrong and dont support correcting it, There is a H1 on logo but without H2 you go to H3 directly… And we have to pay to fix this mistake you did? I really dont get it…
Hello @sunilhzb1 !
This issue with the Mobile version on Desktop has been discussed already here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-site-displaying-on-desktop-site/
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. Edit the page with TagDiv Composer. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and design for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more information, please visit https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/.

Dear support
From around one month ago, mobile theme does not work well in specific page.
For example our site uses mobile theme on top page.
But From around one month ago, mobile theme does not work in this page, displaying there instead of frontpage for pc.
I do not change setting on pages for pc and mobile setting on theme panel.
Now I uses classic wordpress editor. So I change to gutenberg and I checked page setting for pc frontpage and re-setting “on” of “eable/disable mobile theme”. But still displaying pc front page.
Please tell me how to fix it.
Regards
Hi,
Please check if you have the mobile theme plugin activated, if yes, please disable it.
Also, please provide the link to your website.

i have changed footer name but in mobile showing same theme footer name please help
Hi,
Unfortunately, I don’t understand what you mean by not giving enough detail, about exactly what you want and what problems you have.
If you have made mobile pages, you must convert the header and footer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HrjOBNayd please check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
We’ve introduced the Manage License System, which can be seen in the latest update of the theme 11.4.3 in Newspaper -> My license. You can assign or unassign a domain from there.
The mobile page is something changed there, please recreate a new page.
Thank you!
