Hi jeffbilbro,
If you are using the mobile theme plugin and you want to have the desktop layout, you can use the responsive version -> https://imgur.com/m0bVB5T also if you want to make a page for mobile using tagDiv Composer, please disable the mobile theme plugin and try this new option -> https://i.imgur.com/oz2lBPO.png -> https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/ -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
The site is musicgnome.com. Again it’s only for the mobile theme, I was able to leave comments on desktop.
Hello !
Now your mobile theme works but unfortunately it displays on desktop too. This happens due to cache. Please follow our guide and make sure that WP Super Cache has been installed properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Let us know the result.
Thank you !
I’ve updated the cache settings, and it appears to be working properly now. I thought, however, that I was able to customize the homepage (and other pages) that appear on mobile devices. I have a mobile page designed for the homepage, but it seems to be showing the default mobile theme instead.
Does not running a mobile theme with amp reduce my website’s loading speed?
Hello !
That is how it looks because you are running mobile theme: https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/ Deactivate the plugin and you will see the responsive version of your website.
Thank you !
Thanks a loty @Calin,
I am trying these things out, but they seem to have no effect on my website. Maybe I’m doing it wrong (most likely I’m doing it wrong, actually).
How can I add rel=preload for this problem, in the funcions.php file? I’m reviewing Amit’s publications, I think they are very interesting, but for some reason they don’t work on my website.
I do it:
Removing Font Awesome
Removing Emojis
Removing other scripts
Mobile theme optimization
from de guide: https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
But I have the problem again, in may website soyungato.com (I never try the homepage, I only try articles/posts)

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I followed all the steps, but they don’t work.
Can you please help me?
Hi jjtwizzle,
Sorry for the late answer. Please try not to reply multiple times in the topic if possible, this will only delay our response. Replying multiple times will refresh the topic date and move it to the back of the line, we answer from oldest to newest.
If you want to use Adsense auto placement, you need to set the code in the head of theme, this can be done by setting the code in this section -> https://i.imgur.com/xxIoDbS.png then the ads will be display.
Also I see that you are using o both website the mobile theme plugin, therefore you need to set the ads here -> https://i.imgur.com/SCd1Hl2.png
Hope this will help you!
If there is still a problem, let me know!
Thank you!
Hello !
Please note that Newspaper Theme only edits Post templates not post content. Mobile theme cannot be edited. The background can be changed from Theme Panel – Background: https://www.screencast.com/t/Qx4CVC2RBaC

Hello,
When I enable jetpack comments (specifically the ability to login and comment with Twitter, fb, and so on) I have the ability to type out a comment, but when I press submit, the comments box disappears and the comments isn’t posted.
I wanted to see if there was a way to get this to work.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, thank you for your response.
But the mobile theme is not enabled, I haven’t installed the mobile theme. So why when editing in tag div composer the changes are visible on desktop and not on mobile.
For example, I added a “hero” on my desktop, but when I see on mobile, it’s not there, only header and footer. Also, the changes I make, the logo I change on the desktop is not reflected on mobile.
Is there any way to reflect the changes in the desktop on mobile too? i.e. responsive?

Debug using mobile version
Hi,
We have disabled the mobile theme on some of our pages such as the ones below, but all the items in our menu (on mobile) are not showing, so its being displayed as an incomplete menu on mobile.
https://photographycourse.net/podcast/
https://photographycourse.net/beginner-photography/
When we try to select a menu for the mobile display from the tagdiv composer, it saves successfully, but it turns back to “no menu” upon refreshing the page.
In comparison, here are some pages/posts with the mobile theme enabled, and the menu is being displayed completely on mobile.

Please let us know what could be the issue here.
Thanks,
Domien
Hello !
The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:
Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Mobile theme plugin can be disabled from Newspaper Plugins as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/LnkZCEVC
You are now able to create mobile viewport templates as you can see in our guide here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
! Atention ! If you are using mobile templates you will have to remove the mobile theme plugin and also at the moment AMP is not working with mobile templates.

Hi,
We would like to change the logo on some of our pages and posts for the mobile theme, so we would like to know if it is possible to show a separate header with mobile theme enabled?
For example, if you may look at this post on mobile
https://photographycourse.net/episode-21-interview-with-alberto-cosi/
It will show a different logo than the one that is shown on the desktop. This is probably because of the logo setup in the theme panel, right?
If yes, is it not possible to show a different logo (only for some of the pages/posts) on mobile, with mobile theme enabled?
Thanks,
Domien
Hello !
Are you running Google Auto Ads ? If that is the case then you cannot do anything about it it. The code will show where google thinks it is the most visible.
For other options you can go in Theme panel – Mobile Theme – Mobile ads.
Thank you !
It seems to appear like it is trying to look like a stretched out mobile theme most of the time. Why??
I think I followed all those steps–the mobile theme and awp plugins are activated. But I’m still not seeing the mobile version load on mobile devices. I’m sure it’s possible that I may have missed a setting somewhere.
I’m trying to add the adsense code that allows adsense to choose where to place the ads.
When I place this code in the header, or anywhere, it only works on mobile.
I can try the ad slots but this is not what I want. Ads are not displaying correctly and it is not a problem I’ve had with any other theme.
The theme is great except for the ad issues. But obviously ads are important.
Help is appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Altine, in order to have the same design you need to use only the theme no mobile theme plugin, if you have this plugin enable you can keep it to be use for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/FVB74P4.png, if not disable the plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/E0nCIzt.png
Also make sure that you do not have set a mobile page -> https://i.imgur.com/NyvAIDg.jpg
Hope this will help you!
Hi,
Normal you can use the responsive version of theme for mobile, but there are demos, that do not have a sticky menu, also the mobile version is a little different -> https://i.imgur.com/DzbR6n1.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/AxF4bcZ.png
If this is not what you mean, please let me know!
Thank you!
