Okay, I’ve done a little more analysis. It’s not the menu on mobile devices that is the problem. The problem is that the menu items that have been set up as custom links to categories do not provide a live link to the category page. This is a problem on both desktop and mobile devices.
I modeled these menu items off the settings used for the demo categories, so there should not have been an issue. After all, these category menu items work on your demo website, so why don’t they work on my website?! And yes, before you say anything, the URL field is “#” as is the case for the category menu items provided in the demo.
This is extremely frustrating – am I missing something? Please tell me there is a simple fix – I love this theme and this is a most unexpected road block. We just went live and I’m most concerned. http://www.onenationscoop.com
Your theme is the best I have ever used. I love your newspaper theme. May I implore you to please work on your mobile theme plugin. It is just not working. Without the mobile theme, the site looks fantastic on a mobile device. We lose so much with the mobile theme. Most importantly the menu does not work with and without the mobile theme. Please, please, please take care of this. The beauty of your theme is ease of use and your mobile theme is just not easy to use right now. Thank you so much for your attention to this matter.
Hello fgmotta,
Unfortunately, this functionality is more complicated and we cannot provide support for this, sorry! Do you have tested the smooth scroll on mobile for that demo? Notice that some changes have been made and now work better. Notice that with each theme update we are trying to do the best with our product.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I’ve recently update to V9.0.1 but the search icon doesn’t work no more (in desktop version) and, in the mobile version of the theme, when you’re in any post, the search bar and the menù icon don’t work.
Can you pls check it?
Thanks
Hi,
Can’t give you advice about that, we made no tests in the matter. You could check some online guides and free plugins if you want to do it
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-build-a-mobile-app-for-your-wordpress-based-business/
– https://www.godaddy.com/garage/5-best-plugins-turn-wordpress-website-mobile-app/
– https://www.designwall.com/blog/the-whys-and-hows-of-creating-a-mobile-app-for-your-wordpress-website/
Test with free or trial plugins if possible.
Maybe some users who tried something like this with the theme could share their experience.
Thanks
Hi,
That would be the compromise and also the main purpose of the mobile theme. When active a different and simpler variant of the whole website will be displayed on mobile.
Maybe there are ways to disable a specific plugin on specific pages, search a little online. Or maybe plugins that can deactivate other plugins by page. I did not try anything like this before.
Thanks
Hello,
I like the mobile plugin theme. It makes my site faster.
However, is it possible to have the mobile plugin theme ignore just the front page?
I like what it does to the posts and pages. I just don’t want the plugin to minimize the frontpage. That’sl all.
Thanks.
Hi,
I know what you are referring to, but there would be nothing to do about that with a theme setting. The thumbnail used is bigger than what is visible, it is the same thumbnail as on desktop but reduced a little
– https://www.screencast.com/t/w2pG0RG39g
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tsf8MZmVAV9
So while the module is limited to a fixed value on mobile, the image will be larger. That creates the effect you mention when clicking on it.
I could give you some CSS solutions if this is required in this case. One would be to make the modules as big as the thumb on mobile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/trzr5LLz3t
For this, enter the code in here – https://www.screencast.com/t/4v5HtCAN
.td_block_big_grid_6 .td-big-grid-post-0 .td-module-thumb, .td_block_big_grid_6 .td-big-grid-post-1 .td-module-thumb {
height: 356px;
}
Thanks
Hi,
So the problem is only on mobile? What exactly is happening? I browsed the website for a while on mobile, don’t see any problem with it
– https://www.screencast.com/t/KIdxcjxfDuJ
The website being http or https is not theme dependent if that is what you mean. You will need to acquire a SSL certificate
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-ssl-and-https-in-wordpress/
Thanks
Hi,
Let’s try to clarify things here. The mobile theme plugin is optional, nobody is forced to use it since it will drastically change the appearance of the website. You can learn more about it’s functionality here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Then decide if you want to use it or not. If you don’t use it, exactly the same content from desktop will be displayed across all devices (responsive version).
You say you entered a block in a page. The block showed up on desktop, but not on mobile. A link to that page would have been very helpful, so we can see it and test for ourselves. Post it now if the same happens.
The theme does not have any inbuilt page or post cache, so if a modification you made is not reflected in the website, that is most likely a form of cache. Cache by a plugin, a server cache, browser cache maybe others.
Provide links to the pages with problems as well, I will let you know how we see them.
Thanks
Hi,
I could take a look, please provide a link to your website. The mobile theme front page will display a top grid containing three of your featured posts
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
At the bottom there will be a Latest articles section, containing a list of your posts ordered by latest
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
The website looks like this at the moment – http://prntscr.com/kqctg0
Seems the mobile theme is displayed on desktop. In previous similar cases this was caused by the caching used. We recommend the WP super cache if possible, this will not cause problems with the mobile theme plugin.
To quickly fix it deactivate either the mobile theme or the caching.
hello,
The theme on mobile devices provides a left and right padding.
You can alter this behavior by using this css code in the theme panel-> custom css section:
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-container, .tdc-row {
width: 100%;
padding-left: 0;
padding-right: 0;
}}
Thank you!
Hi,
The mobile menu does not display for tablets, in general. If the table is smaller the mobile theme may display. So only on smaller devices it will be visible, most tablets will display the responsive version of the website.
This is done automatically and there are no settings to control when to display the mobile variant and menu.
If this not what you wanted to know please correct me.
Thanks
Hello xavig,
Unfortunately, all of these changes involves doing such additional customizations and we cannot provide something like this at the moment, sorry! If you want to have more options, in this case, you should implement it yourself through the code because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry! Also, if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you! Usually, we recommend the developer from studio.envato.com
Another alternative for you would be to use a mobile theme which allows you to have two different menus for mobile and desktop.
Thanks for your understanding!
To further clarify the issue:
I made a test post to see what would happen on mobile. The theme updated properly. However, once I deleted the test post, the test still appeared on mobile (and leads to a 404).
So now I have the correct layout on mobile, but it shows a test post that leads to a 404 as the first post on the page.
So it appears I can only update the layout of the front page on mobile IF and ONLY IF I have the content to make a new post.
I’m sorry but that isn’t what I expect from a premium product, so there must be some way to fix this without using the mobile theme plugin, yes?
I don’t want to use the mobile theme plugin if possible because I have some unique elements on the front page that I would like to be display on mobile.
Oh, and a lot of my images are also simply not loading at all on the mobile version, which is another thing that cannot go unfixed.
Please help.
Thanks
I’m still having major problems with this.
My front page will not update on mobile. I have checked on multiple devices. It sometimes updates, and sometimes will not.
Are you saying that implementing the mobile theme plugin will somehow fix this problem of the front page not updating to reflect the changes I made in the tagdiv composer?
All I want is for the mobile version to reflect the changes I make on the front page tagdiv composer.
I consider this to be a serious problem with the theme.
Hi, yesterday I created my new site.
On desktop devices all works fine, but on mobile I can’t see the lastest published posts
I already installed the WP Super Cache and tagDiv Mobile Theme and it doesn’t solve the issue.
I’d like to get your help
Kind regards
Oh I see. Thanks. Are there any plans to offer font customization for mobile in the theme?
Regarding my featured post. This is how I understand it:
My featured post is using block 24, so I need to edit module 19 font settings.
The modules listed in that table for Block 24 are:
Block 24 Module 19 Module 19 Module MX16
So, I have module 19 set to Gil Sans which correctly sets the font of the post title, but the post body excerpt is still at Arial. I’m trying to change the post excerpt font.

Hello.
My website is’t showing up right at mobile devices: livecoins.com.br
This theme is Responsive, right ?
Hi,
The more stories font is altered from the font of the module used on that section. If for example you have module 6 here: https://www.screencast.com/t/uqJ0UdopmOm you can change the font from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/7YzXFVELxco4
You have to use the modules, not the particular blocks. A block is made out of 1 or more modules: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
Mobile fonts cannot be changed. Sorry. It can only be done with custom css. The theme offers no font customization for mobile devices.
Thanks
Hi, I’m trying to fully validate my website.
I’ve to solve only 3 problems caused by the td_css_generator.php file
It’s possible that at the line 756 there is mobileu_gradient instead of mobile_gradient
background: -o-linear-gradient(top, @mobile_gradient_one_mob 0%, @mobileu_gradient_two_mob 100%);
Also I think that this property causes some validation problem
filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr=’@mobile_gradient_one_mob’, endColorstr=’@mobile_gradient_two_mob’, GradientType=0 );
Other problems (spaces in the url) were in the td_social_sharing.php file but I easily solved and put a new file in the child theme.
Could you help me to join a full validation?
thanks
Hello Catalin. I did this two changes:
– https://www.screencast.com/t/sTbFYXUCbtm7
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QjYkL3EdnQE
in my child theme and it works perfect!
Now I have a specific main menu for mobile and another for desktop. In mobile it looks awesome but I lost the style in main menu for desktop.
Can you help me to fix it? Thanks very much
How is the situation of this subject after this hole and a half year? It’s still not possible to edit these files in child theme?
If not, can you suggest another solution? I don’t want to lose the changes when I update the theme, and I need this mobile menu feature.
Thanks!
Hello, I am using basically your theme
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_animals/
At the home page, in the middle, there is a section with 3 posts inserted in a black border (in your demo there is a giraffe, a dolphin and a horse).
I choose the BLOCK 14 for that, and it works well until I browse it on a mobile phone, where the black border won’t stretch from left to right and it presents only a black bar on top and bottom. The demo displays the black frame correctly.
