Hello,
the mobile theme is not working anymore and I don’t know the reason. I’ve already tried the following steps with no results:
1) disabling all the plugins (WP Super Cache included) except the VC and mobile theme plugin
2) clearing my browser’s cache
3) switching to the main theme (from the child theme)
Hey @Amit ,just checked your website snaxzer.com And how were you able to make the amp verdin looks just like the mobile theme ?
Hi,
I would like to edit the background image in the mobile version of my menu, how ever I only want to use the responsive theme already built in, I do not want to use the mobile theme plugin, so how can I edit the mobile menu background image?
Thank you,
Emily James
I’m not sure you can except possibly removing the mobile “viewport” sizes in the style.css as with any theme.
However, theme is sold as “responsive” and Google prefers you have a mobile friendly site, so “bad” to not be responsive, unless you’re perhaps using some kind of re-write plugin for mobile instead.
You can try removing the small viewport elements in the style.css file, as most likely solution. But, TagDiv might have better answer 🙂
(( I don’t work here. ))
Hi,
Please note then when you are using the mobile theme plugin, this comes with it’s own predefined templates for page, post, category, etc. This is how the mobile theme works because it was designed for the best performance on mobile, so there is no option to change these templates. If you would like to display the same elements from desktop on mobile devices, simply deactivate the mobile plugin. The theme is fully responsive and will adapt to every screen size with the best results. More information about the mobile theme here

Thanks
Hi,
This is where the call for the avatar is being made in the mobile theme, for the login
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8qD4rDns057U
And in the theme – https://www.screencast.com/t/m0Y1UQymtS
You can try to make the modifications there and hopefully achieve the results you want.
Thanks
Hello,
The page works fine on mobile devices. You probably had the mobile theme active though and did not add any content in the mobile editor: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Thanks for the reply Bogdan.
Could you please tell where are the files related with the Gravatar in the mobile theme and the desktop theme?
Hello,
The mobile theme uses different files than the main theme. It is added as a plugin and plugins that work on the main theme will not necessarily work on the mobile theme as well. The plugin you use is not tested so I cannot provide any solution in this regard.
Thank you!
Hi,
At the moment these are the only capabilities and features of the mobile theme, you can either use it for all the website or not use it at all. Additional options will be implemented in a future update for the mobile theme, the intention is to offer many features, while also keeping it as light as possible. Please note that there are many suggestions and user recommendations on the list, and all of them will be analyzed and some of them implemented. I can not give an exact date as to when this or that will be available though, we will just have to wait and see.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
The best solution would be to use the mobile theme and the WP Super Cache plugin with the configuration recommended here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and everything should work out properly this way. Please note that the W3 Total Cache is not tested with the theme and we have bad reports regarding this problematic plugin in combination with the theme.
Thanks
Hello,
I am using Facebook login on my website with the help of this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/nextend-facebook-connect/).
The problem is the Facebook profile picture is not loaded on mobile theme. On the desktop theme, the Facebook profile picture is loading correctly.
I suppose the mobile theme is using some different call to load the Gravatar/avatar. Am
I right?
Hello tagDiv team!
We just launch a new website with the newspaper theme, only to find out it seems to load a different template when you load the website on a mobile device.
Remark: If you load the website on a desktop, and just inspect as a mobile, it works just as we wish. But if you reload the site while on mobile mode, it changes the design radically. Looks like there’s something off with the mobile script that load depending on the user agent.
Here’s the Website:
http://mille-isles.ca/en/
Can you help?
Hello, thanks for clarifying.
Is there a way you guys can modify the plugin so that pages loaded would be redirected to the fully responsive version of the site rather than the pages loaded by the mobile theme plugin?
The custom code in ccs is used to hide sidebar on mobile and i take it from this forum. I would use mobile theme but i need to use W3 Total cache and i see that if i enable this cache desktop and mobile browser could not detect correctly the right theme….. 🙁
Hi,
I seem to have forgotten about that setting for the columns. What that does is set a display none to the element you set it to – https://www.screencast.com/t/Q2W8fuvgD and maybe it is interpreted by the testing tool in a different way. It seems you also have custom css code in the theme panel meant to hide some elements on the page that could be affecting the result.
If you would like to have different content on mobile you could just use the mobile theme solution provided with the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ that features a grid displayed on top, and a latest articles on the bottom. That way you will not have to resort to hiding most of your page on mobile, and have to deal with this kind of problems. Not to mention improved performance on mobile.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately the mobile theme does not recognize the Visual composer shortcodes and will not display them. This is the purpose of the mobile theme, to be as light as possible with increased performance. You can always disable the mobile plugin, because the theme is fully responsive and will adapt to every screen size while also displaying the same content that exists on desktop – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
Hi,
I have checked your website on Firefox – https://www.screencast.com/t/vBL0HsDg and on Chrome – https://www.screencast.com/t/HtwECh2v and the result is exactly the same on both browsers on mobile. This meaning the grid and the news block. I do not understand how are you hiding the rest of the content and why it is not being detected in the testing tool, and also don’t think such an option is available in the Visual composer provided with the theme.
Thanks
So, are Pages really not showing with the mobile theme plugin activated?
Hello,
The latest version of visual composer (5.1) is included in the theme. You simply need to install it from the plugins section of the theme panel.
As for the mobile theme please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Layout of home page and posts is completely random – sometimes looks like a mobile width sometimes everything overlaps and then it’s fine. Problems started with latest theme update.

Hello, I updated my newspaper theme today only. Instead of updating to the latest version, visual composer is showing outdated.
Also, I want to install newspaper mobile theme plugin. I can’t find the install option in the plugin page.
Hi,
This is better explained in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/admin-ajax-php-bandwidth-hog/
It seems to happen on mobile devices from what I can see in the log you have provided. Maybe you should try using the mobile theme plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ that features a lighter version of the theme optimizes for mobile devices.
Thanks
It’s a bit difficult to put Google matched content with a Newspaper theme.
One can use a text widget in the sidebar to put Google matched content this works well.
Also to put it after article you can add matched contents as related posts using following code:
<div class="wpb_raw_code wpb_content_element wpb_raw_html">
<div class="wpb_wrapper">
//YOUR MATCHED CONTENT CODE
</div>
</div>
Refer: http://prntscr.com/ej10ni
Result:
On desktop : http://prntscr.com/ej11rb
On Mobile: http://prntscr.com/ej128a
BUT
After activating td-speed-booster plugin the google matched contents get to mess with the design.
See results:
Below content – http://prntscr.com/esot2u
In sidebar – http://prntscr.com/esotu2
Disabling speed booster plugin fixes the issue.
But it compromises the pagespeed
Page speed with Speedbooster plugin – http://prntscr.com/esov91
Need a solution for this.
Hello.
Apologies if this has been asked, but the search function on this site appears to be broken.
We have noticed a lot of request that appear to being generated on every page view, it’s consuming server resources and we aren’t really sure the purpose.
Are you able to advise?
Cheers,
Mick
