If I decide to disable the mobile theme plugin, will that negatively impact my site from an SEO standpoint? How important is the mobile theme plugin towards how the site works on mobile?
Hey guys,
In the mobile theme I do have breadcrumbs for my pages, but not in the regular desktop theme. Can I get this in the regular theme too?
Hey guys,
I it possible to get a latest article list in posts and pages in the mobile theme?
Thanks!
Hi Dear Sir / Madam
i hope your doing very well, yesterday i buy your theme newspaper7 i active my site http://tabeer.pk so please i need help about google adsense code, becouse i put header google adsense code through my theme panel but i put code 728×90 so how it possible to compress in mobile theme ?
Thanks
That Works well for hovering great! but the grey part stays once selected.
I don’t mind that so ill give you guys a break.
One side question though how can i replace the gradient on the mobile theme for menu with an image? Also would that image be responsive
Catalin,
I don’t understand your comment? I am saying that when I activate the mobile theme, I cannot add a page on my website. Is that normal? If you are using the mobile theme, you cannot add a page to the normal website? Is this what you are saying?
Appreciate your comments.
Thanks for your reply.
1. I don’t have a single clue of these things. I’ll try to work it out myself. But it’s weird because when I uploaded the new theme on Saturday (the website is 6 years old and had another theme), I was the first visitor via tablet. How is it possible to be cached and see the mobile theme? Also, as I said before, when I used the Samsung tablet, at first I saw the site fine, the way it was supposed to look. But when I hit the home button via the menu, the mobile theme appeared. So, if it was something about cache, it should display the mobile theme from the start and not after a while, right?
2. I wasn’t very clear about it. I’m aware how to set ads in the predefined spaces, as you’ve done an excellent job to make the interface very easy. I want to display ads after the header, as I point in the following screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/ukhxM2Q.jpg
3. The code works. Thank you!
Hello Jessus,
Please notice that the Mobile theme display you only a default structure of the homepage which contains a Big Grid element filtered by Featured Posts, your custom text if you add in Mobile Editor from your Backend and in the bottom of the page you will get the Latest Articles modules. For more information about mobile theme, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
1) This issue is cache related if the cache settings are not set properly, then the mobile theme can even show up on desktop. We have seen this also in some cases. There are another 2 caches you may have besides the plugin. There is a cdn server if you use it and some hosting providers have cache from the server side that some users are not aware of. Pleas also check these and set them properly and then test the site again.
2) You can use the theme ad spots to do it to soem extent. a header and footer ad will show up on every post/page/category but content ads are handled for posts by the article ads: https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/ and the pagebuilder adbox element on pages. CAtegories do not have content ad possibilities except for sidebar ads.
As a note, you cannot have article ads or content ads of 728 px width because the main content width when using a sidebar is 696 pixels. you can only have 728px ads inside the content if you do not use sidebars.
3)The sibling categories can be removed with css if you use this code in the theme panel->custom css box:
@media(max-width:767px){
.td-category-siblings{
display:none!important;
}}
Thank you!
Hi Catalin,
I am using the latest version of Newspaper and Visual Composer. I cleared all caches and also deactivated all plugins and turned them on one at a time. I think I found the problem – the problem happens when I turn on tagDiv Mobile Theme. If this plugin is activated I cannot add a page? However I can add a post.
What do you think is causing this?
Best always….
Oh, and another question that I wanted to ask:
In mobile theme, when you enter a category page, it show some of the other categories right after the header. Is there any way to hide this section and the categories. Because some of the categories I have in my site are obsolete or created for other reasons and I don’t want them to show in public.
Thank you!
Hello, I have two questions regarding the theme (which is great) for my site: MoschatoTavros.gr
1. Mobile theme appears in tablets too. I tested two tablets. The first one is chinese (Teclast) and the mobile theme showed right away. I suspected that it was due to tablet’s fault, as it is fairly cheap, so I found a Samsung Galaxy Tab to test the site too. When I logged in for the first time, the desktop theme appeared, I clicked on a post and everything was fine, but when I clicked on my logo to go to the home page again, the mobile theme appeared.
I’ve configured the cache plugin exactly per your instructions.
2. I want to put a 728×90 Google Adsense ad in every post, page and category page of my site, like the one I have in my homepage. I don’t mind the code whether it’s html or php. Is there any way to do it?
Thank you.
Hello,
All of the settings our theme provides for the mobile theme plugin can be found here: http://screencast.com/t/WlKYdy6LVk Anything beyond these settings will have to be made through customization.
The menu colors or background can be set in the theme panel like so: http://screencast.com/t/428KkaY4
The top menu is not present on mobile by default so I;m not sure how it;s showing up on your end. Please provide a link to your site and I will provide the proper css to remove the social icons.
As for the footer, it cannot be changed on mobile as it will default to the predefined one. It can be altered with a bit of css if you want particular parts of it removed.
Thank you!
Hello American,
Please notice that this type of option which Andrei pointed you above is only applicable for normal mobile responsive. So, if you are using the Mobile Theme plugin, the default behaviour for menu header is sticky only the user scrolling up. This is the default theme behaviour for the mobile theme and it is not a simple task to change it. If you want to make some changes through code in this case and if you are not aware of the steps which you are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
Please read this guide to learn how the mobile theme works and how it affects pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ or posts that use visual composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
That is a new element that was no present in the videos. It is the second editor for the mobile theme. If you use the mobile theme plugin: http://screencast.com/t/tJTYnwGe there will be a second editor (the first one) called a mobile editor. This is destined for creating mobile versions of your pages without the use of visual composer as the mobile theme does not use visual composer. You can read more about this here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are referring to the mobile featured grid: http://screencast.com/t/NkGFaB2gy1 you can remove it with this css:
.td_block_big_grid_mob_1{
display:none!important
}
If you do not use the mobile theme and have a different ‘featured’ element you will have to provide a link to your site so I can see how it was created so I can provide the proper code for it.
Than you!
Hi,
The mobile theme plugin is optional and is a lighter theme, without any options in this regard, you can read more about it here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The theme comes with a mobile version so if you want the same content like on desktop, with the font settings that you set from Theme Panel, you can disable the mobile theme plugin.
A solution if you want to use the mobile theme plugin is to use custom css and the font style.
Thanks!

Dear Tagdiv,
Here I have a spanish localised version of Newspaper:
https://www.mascupon.com.pe/masmagazine
In desktop mode you will see all the buttons have been translated to Spanish via the theme translation panel. We have installed the tagdiv mobile plugin, but if you access the same site on mobile you will see that it seems to be using the default english buttons etc.
Is this a bug?
I have tried to change the font for quotes on the mobile theme.
I can’t even find a setting to do this.
Hello,
This happens because you have the mobile theme plugin installed. This is a new mobile theme plugins we created to improve loading speeds for mobile users. Please read this guide to learn about how the mobile theme works: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you do not like the mobile theme you can simply disable the plugin and your mobile version will be the standard responsive version of the desktop theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
The mobile theme is at version 1.0 as we just started to develop it. More options and compatibility fixes will come in future versions of the mobile theme plugin.
Thank you!
Hello kylemichz,
Please provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer. Also, for more information about mobile theme please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you need more assistance in this regard, please provide more details about it.
Thanks for the message!
Hello pablov,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option that offer you a way to disable the mobile theme only for some pages, but only for entire theme, sorry! If you want to develop the theme in this way and if you are not aware of the steps which you are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
our Website is on a good way on desktop, but mobile it is everything but not what we want. It’s very different from Browser on Computer. Where can we configure more options for our mobile Website than only some “mobile theme” settings? Another Problem is, that some sites on our Homepage are not shown on the mobile version. Sometimes there is “Ooops.. Error 404” or the heading without any content.
With kind regards,
Benny from drittklassig.com
