well, the theme update was the thing that messed up the website, especially mobile theme, due that I’m losing 95% of the adsense income!

I’ve updated the “updated” 7.3 as well, reinstalled mobile theme plugin, cleared cache.

the mobile theme looks to be working now and then, but after refresh I see just normal site on mobile, so obviously it’s not working right, and the poor adsense income proves that.

if this is not fixed soon, please advice how to revert back to 7.2 as obviously this one comes with crucial issues.

regards,

Yucca

Hello,
In order to show content on mobile pages you have to create mobile content. There is a second editor in page edit. You have to use it to create content for mobile. If nothing is added to the mobile editor, nothing will be displayed. You can read more here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hello,

1) The mobile theme has it;s own ad spots: http://screencast.com/t/c5eOjNN5u
2) You also need to update the plugins after updating the theme. Please update your visual composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and use the same method to update the social counter as it is required for newspaper 7.

Thank you!

Hello,

You can use a different logo as your header logo is blue on white, but on the menu it;s blue on blue. You can create another logo and upload it as a mobile logo and then set the sticky menu to show the mobile logo like so: http://screencast.com/t/Zz8u6CWQjIT9

Well you have to add posts to the “featured” category for them to show up on the big grid on the mobile theme. The theme creates the featured category automatically. You simply need to add posts to it and they will show up on the mobile grid. If for some reason you do not have the featured category anymore you can simply create it. The name needs to be “Featured” and the slug “featured” If you create a category like that, then it will work like the one that the theme creates by default and you can add the posts you want to it.
Thank you!

Hello LPH,

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.3) and also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme. For more information about mobile theme, please consult the docuemntation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hope this helps!

Question: WHY is it necessary to have (2) duplicate PAGES for mobile mode and classic mode (desktop/website)?
A page is a page and should be read via mobile or desktop?…absolutely ridiculous?????

Thank you so much. That tiny bit of CSS has completed my design entirely. And as it turns out, the reason my homepage on mobiles didn’t look nice was because I hadn’t yet posted using the featured category.

Pages, including a high-traffic downloadable PDF map, are visible on desktops and tablet but NOT on phones. (Clients trying to access the map on their phones brought this to our attention.) Our consultant, who is out on family leave, suspects something may have gone wrong with the mobile theme code during recent updates. The pages affected were created using another theme and transferred to this one within the past quarter.

Thank you for your assistance.

yes, but like I said, that line already exists in mobile/functions.asp

// theme utility files
require_once(td_global_mob::$get_parent_template_directory . ‘/includes/wp_booster/td_global.php’);
td_global::$td_options = get_option(TD_THEME_OPTIONS_NAME); //read the theme settings once

require_once(td_global_mob::$get_parent_template_directory . ‘/includes/wp_booster/td_util.php’);

// load the wp_booster_api
require_once(td_global_mob::$get_parent_template_directory . ‘/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php’);

TRY THIS:

“Here is a fix for the mobile theme issue for the moment until the new update is released:
Add this code in the mobile theme’s function.php:
td_global::$td_options = get_option(TD_THEME_OPTIONS_NAME); //read the theme settings once
It should look like so: http://screencast.com/t/ke18K42lG

Hi,
I can’t see the contentof a page in mobile theme. My homepage looks well in mobile, but if I go to a sub-menu page, the modules of that sub-page not show the content inside the modules.

What’s the solution for that issue?

Thanks

On the site, the only name used is “Team Level Today”. As I remove the name link? of all blocks, modules and post.

*Hide author link on the site for computers and mobile.

Hello brianzulberti,

What kind of elements are contains the Contact page? Please notice that the Mobile Theme do not recognize the Visual Composer and that’s why in the mobile theme you cannot render your Contact page. If you want to display it, you simply turn off the mobile theme and this will be switched to the general responsive mode.

Thanks for your understanding!

Yes, but tell me how it works. For to the desktop version I selected the highlight of the grid for the most visited posts and working fine, In the mobile version appears only the last item on the homepage. But when I go into any category it displays some highlights. My problem is only on the home page

Hi,

If the mobile theme front page is where you want to hide categories from, that is not possible through css and there is no easy solution I can provide for it. Sorry.

Thanks.

Ran the site through validator. Any suggestions?

https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tuxreports.com%2F

The site will not load on my iPhone or iPad Pro, so I’m trying to find out why.

Mobile theme is off because I don’t want to re-enter thousands of articles in second area.

Hello,

The mobile theme translation is common with the main theme translation. Please use this section to translate your content: http://screencast.com/t/y856S457

Hello,

Your menu items are not categories but custom links set to link to ‘#’
This particular set-up renders the mobile menu null. It will only be a list with no links attached to it. Please set your menu items with a working link and if you want sub-categories, add a few sub-categories to the main category.

Thank you!
