I thought Radu or Marius said someplace that better font selection was one of the action items on their custom admin panel, since the current setup is hampered just a little bit by the built-in WP panel they have built options into.
But yes, having option to use web safe fonts would be an excellent option to see in an upcoming version.
Of course always good to remember that Google kind of gives some false positives on
1) fonts
2) adsense
3) recaptcha
4) google+ buttons
they find errors in their own code being loaded on the page; such as image dimensions on ad units missing, CSS for font styles loading off their CDN, recaptcha images needing “more optimization” etc.
A good “goal” for Page Speed right now, based on industry think, is
target desktop = 90 or higher
mobile = 80 or higher
anything below 75 mobile and below 85 desktop would be considered “poor”
but the world won’t crash into the sun if you have a heavily loaded page getting 79 mobile and 89 desktop for the forseeable future, as that is still above the average for 90% of the web.

I just recently install woocommer plugin I and I found that the buttons of Add and View options doesnt work well for mobile.

Thanks for the great theme, with all these great options. Still figuring everything out, but i already love it.
But i found one mistake: I have the sidebar on the left side and want to keep it there, but in mobile, the sidebar goes on top, which is problematic on artikcles etc, if there first is a bunch stuff from the sidebar.

Yesterday, we bought and installed Newspaper on our website and we overall very happy – you really did a nice job here 🙂
We do have to feedbacks from users, though:
1. When on iPhone / iOS7 / Nexus 7 / Galaxy Note 3, the menu button on top of screen doesn’t do anything.
2. Also, on same devices, the search button also doesn’t do anything
Are these just local problems with our installation or general bugs? 🙂
Hi – just my 2 cents –
before doing anything (theme out of box on new shared server) – had page speeds of 45 mobile and 58 desktop
then, added gz deflate code to htaccess file, and configured W3 total cache – and now my google page speeds are: mobile 75 and desktop 92 – and I am fine with it
In my opinion, for shared servers – wordpress isn’t going to get much faster than that…
the gz deflate had the most increase (I forgot to track the exact increase – but it was over 20) – if someone needs to know how to do this – I would recommend asking support on your hosting site –
I added back “addthis” plugin – and desktop speed only went down to 91 – but for me totally worth the “add this” value…
I should also note that I currently do not run ads on my sites (still developing content) but I agree that will slow it down a bit (that was mentioned)
One thing I would like to know if the theme could clean this up though (from google speed test)

The menu is the same, probably you don’t have the right sprite images or css. What version of the theme do you have?

The previous version of Newspaper had a very nice and bright menu button in the top left for mobile phones. Now it shows a small transparent arrow that isn’t very noticable. Is there a way we can bring back the menu text so that it is more visible?

When I switch to mobile view the header ad covers it.
The ad is a 728x90px ad that switches to a 300x250px in mobile view and it seems that the logo then gets covered by it.
Will this be part of the fix you’ll be introducing soon?

I believe the top header ad is messing up the header layout when viewing on mobile devices.
How can we disable the top header just like the inline ad? I don’t even have the option in the dropdown menu.

I install wordpress, next I install Newspapper theme. Ewerithing is ok, but when I install and activate plugins, there is a “little” bug. When i open administration (/wp-admin), I see only Blank page. It works after delete Jetpack plugin, but theme options does not work. I delete revslider plugin, then works all. But I need Jetpack for mobile theme and galerry options.
Please help me with this bug.
