Hi,
After remove-reinstall process I notice slowness to display pages and posts.
I have other domain/blog (www.propulsoresdosucesso.com) in the same host and loads fast.
Thanks again,
I just noticed the appearance of about 10 jpg pics in my media library that I did not upload. They are not attached to any post, are located in the uploads folder (and not the month-specific folder like other media files) and are not linked to any user. There appears to be no other ill effects from their presence but the result of deleting permanently is that they appear to return in duplicate. Attempts to remove via FTP also failed.
A quick internet search for the file names reveals several other websites hosting these files and the one thing they have in common is the Newspaper theme.
A search of my website files revealed these could be placeholder images used by the TagDiv Multi-Purpose plugin (hence TDM prefix in the filename).
Please confirm this is just a sloppy implementation of the TagDiv Multi-Purpose plugin and users need not be concerned and waste a lot of time researching what otherwise appears to be a parasitic exploit.
Hello,
Regular social icons on TOPBAR before update to 8.5 looked good. After update they act strange. When I click reload page or go to another page, the time when page loads, some japan or china signs can be seen instead of icons. What is the problem? I know most of you might think that it is not a problem but it looks really shitty for me and users.
Hello,
I was recently approved for Google Adsense and proceeded to paste the codes into the theme panel -> ads. So to be totally clear – I only had (3) places on my site for ads. But when I post just a single code under, say, the “header ad” section, I have roughly 2-3 ads showing up depending on the page I’m on. Obviously one is the header itself, but then randomly another ad with similar dimensions will sometimes be posted half way down the page, and then another one below the footer is always present. And again, this happens on all the pages even with different ad placements.
If I additionally paste another ad unit code under “sidebar ad” then it’s a free for fall… I mean, it looks ridiculous. I am limited to (3) ads and I need them to be placed in the correct spots.
I feel like there has to be something going on with repetition of the ads in the Newspaper theme itself. No other section in the theme panel under ads has any code, and I even went in and disabled the ads on all devices for good measure.
Has anyone had a similar issue or know what could be going wrong?
Hi,
I am using web 2.0 directory listing CPT inside block elements. There are two problems I am facing, one is that there is not link to CPT single page and other is that I am not able to filter CPT using CPT categories. Is there anyone who faced similar issue? any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Thanks for the response, Catalin!
I have attached the screenshots you requested.
Note that I have ads activated in only four Newspaper provided positions, Header Ad, Sidebar Ad, Article Inline Ad, and Footer Top. Every legitimate position has the Ad Title, “Advertisement.”
I have explicitly set all other ad positions to be turned off on all four platforms.
I’m still seeing rogue ads intermittently in either the sidebar widget “Adoptable Pet Of The Week” and “Featured Happenings” but never both at the same time.
There are rogue ads in the homepage “Most Recent Posts” section intermittently.
There are rogue ads either in the sub-footer or below the sub-footer but never both at the same time. This one is the only one that is not intermittent and shows on every page view. Hopefully, it can be helpful for diagnosis.
Reminder that I have no other plugins that serve ads. I’d be glad to grant you access to the site if you need it.

Hi
I want to place media.net ads in 1 page and other page i want to set up different ads how to do that.
This applies for article inline ads for each page / category.
My issue is i want to set up multiple Adsense account in a same location on diffrent category / Page.
Ex: Page 1 header ad – media.net
page 2 – header ad – google
Category 1 – in article ads – google
category 2 – in article ads – media.net ads
Please help me.
With “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin active— access is prevented to any “ADS” categories editing in the Newspaper 8.5 Themes Panel. When any AD category is clicked, there is an endless loop of the “processing” icon. This occurs with every “AD” category in the Themes Panel. Disabling the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin restores access to all the ads category panels.
NOTE: Under Themes Panel > ADS > “Article Inline ad”
This was set to place an Google Adsense Ad after the first paragraph of every article. The setting was functioning fine under Newspaper 8.2. After the 8.5 upgrade, the Adsense Ad for “Article Inline ad” no longer appears, just a blank space where the ad should appear. This blank space with no ad appears with “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin enabled or disabled. All other ad categories function fine.
Please advise on a fix.
Thank you.
Hi folks! I just turned on my Adsense account today for a new site, https://www.mankatolife.com and before I tagged any ad positions ads started showing up in random places.
I verified that the ads I was seeing were, indeed, mine.
There was a random ad showing below the header ad position, but when I tagged the header ad that one went away.
There is a random ad showing intermittently in the sub-footer or below the sub footer. I tagged the footer position, but those random ads are still showing.
The ad at the top of the sidebar is tagged and intentional, however there is another random ad that shows up inside various widgets in the side bar. On one pageview its in one widget then the next time its in another widget.
I have no other plugins serving ads. Can you help?
Hello guys
I have just noticed that I am using Newpaper 8.0 and spot that 8.5 is already available with a lot of enhancements, bug fixes and a few new features.
Now, I do not have a child theme (I know its my fault), but I have the CSS, Adsense and other files backed up for safety purposes and for convenience. My question is, if i update the theme, will i lose my current website’s setup? (like the way blocks and other content are placed and the information within them) and any CSS, settings and the so included Adsense codes etc? (Javascript and others)
I will be making a child theme soon, but before I do that, i just wanted to clarify this.
Thanks a lot for the help in advance!

Hello Tagdiv
I was installing Newspaper 2 days ago. The problem I have is that the category-pages do not always load the images properly of the articles that are shown on sportguide.ch. I already raised the WP Memory Limit to 128 M and it seemed it helped a little bit, but still it happens that if I choose one menupoint (for example News) the menupoint loads the articles properly and another one (for example Athlete) does not work right.
Any suggestions what I could do, to make sure that every category-page is working right?
Hello meming,
Most likely, your Adsense code is not working good, sorry! I suggest you contact the Google Adsense Department, tell the problem because they should be able to provide a more accurate response. Try to add another Adsense or an image created by you and check the problem is the Ad Code or is the Spot Ad. Also, if the problem is still there after this, you should send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information so I can take a closer look at your setup page and also, so I can try with another Adsense code.
Thanks for the message!
Child themes don’t work this way and with good reason. Especially for the fact in how child themes work, you would essentially be loading the same theme twice which would make loading your site extremely slow. Let me explain what I’m talking about.
With a child theme, you still need to have the parent theme (Newspaper) installed on your website… just not activated. The child theme needs to be the active theme. With the child theme active, WordPress knows that Newspaper is the parent theme and to load it first when the visitor loads your site. The child theme loads second the altered theme files after the parent theme loads.
Many users only use functions.php and style.css files in their child theme to make changes to their site. If there are other changes needed for your site that can’t be accomplished using these two files, then you need to find the file in the parent theme that needs editing, COPY it to your child theme folder (put it in the same location where it is in the parent theme… create folders if you have to), make the necessary changes to the file using your favorite code editor, and then upload it to your site using FTP.
When Newspaper updates, you will want to use a program like Diffmerge to show you the differences between the updated parent theme files and the current version of your child theme files. That way if there’s anything profoundly different, you can update your child theme files accordingly to prevent breaking something on your site.
TagDiv has resources on how to use a child theme and has a starter child theme you can download, make changes, and upload to your site. Check them out.
Hi,
Other elements like plugins can create redirects. Try as a test to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, remove or deactivate all the ads if possible. Then test again. There should be a noticeable difference.
Thanks
Hi,
The same problem exists on my blog. I use the newspaper 8 theme.
The problem did not change when I made all ads passive.
Could it be another reason?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hello evilspyboy,
Notice that our theme has been designed to be used only with Google Adsense. You can create your own ad code according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-using-other-ads/
Thanks for your understanding!
Soooo, I need to replace the google ads for the next 2 months to link to one store listing for a charity calendar (mental health charity) does this mean I have to make a version of every size? Im not quite getting it as i thought Id define the 4 that are mentioned at the bottom of that other article but obviously that list is a lot longer.
I was going to make the ads in canva.
Hello biharinews,
You should use the Custom Ads which can be created using the div’s method, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
It may require additional steps in order to display the ads on the website. Follow the instructions provided with the code and they should appear in the locations you want.
Some ad implementations require a code to be entered in the theme header file, before entering the ad code in the theme panel ad sections.
This is a guide for using other ads, basically the code has to be entered in the desired section and it will be displayed if it is valid

Thanks
I have tried to insert html code into the Theme Panel for several different ad programs. The only one that actually shows on my site is the code from amazon.
Sample Code from another program is:
<script>
document.write(unescape(‘%3Cscript src=”http://u.dji.com/en/ad_banners/lead?size=300%20*%20250&open_id=2ypgm1Lo&language=en&component_id=1″%3E%3C/script%3E’));
</script>
Is there something I am supposed to insert before the code above to get it to show?
I am thinking of using Speed Booster Plugin on my wordpress site using newspaper theme. I just read following:
“The plugin (Speed Booster) will move the js and css of the recommended plugins at the page bottom. If another (unknown) plugin is installed it will automatically disable itself, this behavior was added to avoid a potential plugin conflict.”
My questions:
(i) Is the function of this plugin is only to move the js and css of the recommended plugins at the page bottom.
If that is so I am using only two recommended plugins, “tagDV composer” and “Yoast SEP Premium”. So Speed Booster plugin won’t help me much.
(ii) Also, if another (unknown) plugin is installed Speed Booster will automatically disable itself, this behavior was added to avoid a potential plugin conflict.
If that is so, I am using two plugins which are not in the recommended list – “AdSense Integration WP QUADS” and “WP Smush”
Here also if the Speed Booster is going to be disabled, so there is no point in using it.
Can some body please advise me on the above?
Thanks…
Hi,
I’ve just noticed that post layout is broken. It applies to where pictures are incerted with longer related comments.
I was not the same way some time ago, might be a result of the theme update or any other issue. Please see attached.
How do I fix it, please?
The example of post in question is http://natplant.ru/mulchirovanie.html

I shouldn’t have mentioned those two images because I was referring more to the fact that your Big Full Grid 2 and Big Full Grid 3 are not showing full width the way they are displayed on your demo modules. Here are the two Big Full Grid images as they appear on my homepage and when checking on other computer screens. https://cultivatingthegardener.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Example-1-not-full-width.jpg and https://cultivatingthegardener.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Example-2-not-full-width.jpg
Not only that, but all other modules that I want set as full width are not changing. There continues to be left and right margins on the entire page, other than where I changed it on the header, menu, and footer in the theme panel. Because of that, I feel that there is something going wrong with my site because I cannot force anything else to go full width, even after deleting all plugins, etc.
I appreciate your help.
Hello duck1970,
Please notice that if you want to replace your header ads, you should change it from here -> http://prntscr.com/hcqmn1 Also, notice that our theme has been designed to be used with Google Adsense and we cannot say for sure if you will use another Ad Code the theme will correctly display the Ads, because it’s not tested, sorry! For more information about header ads, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
I can’t see any of these issues. Your logo works fine on all devices and loads at the same time as the other elements.
Please test from a different device.
Thank you!
