Hi, thanks for that, did not see it 🙂
We’ve enabled the custom sizes for mobile, however, some ads work correctly:

result:

Other don’t work:

Result:

We’ve basically set all mobile sizes to 320×50, cleared caches, but still no luck. Also tried it on a real phone (not the Chrome simulator) and the same there.
Cheers!
Hello,
The space is not present because you are not implementing non adsense ads correctly. Please use this method to place non adsense ads: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
Thank you!
Hello Bogdan,
Thank you for your fast reply.
I realized that the width is indeed smaller than 728px, but hopefully forcing that size for the “Article bottom ad” looks OK.
I am taking this opportunity to point this out. Since this is the most common banner size of AdSense, wouldn’t it be appropriate for a theme that claims to be AdSense optimized, to allow for such a size in the main part and a 300px on the sidebar?
I would like to clarify this from the very beginning though, I am not complaining or anything… I am just curious why you decided to go for a 696px width when using a sidebar. No sidebar is a rather uncommon layout nowadays and with the most common widths of AdSense being 300px, 728px, 970px, it just doesn’t make sense. A width of 696px is too large for a mobile banner of 320px and it is small for 728px. “Resizable” ads will resize to 696px * 84px making their text unreadable in most cases, while non-resizable ads will show as 320px * 100px leaving 188px of blank space from left and right.
Furthermore, AdSense links are around for centuries and in fact, they are very effective. Without any special types of ads, or special accounts, like AdSense Premium, AdSense allows 3 Ad units and ANOTHER 3 Ad links. Not supporting links, in theory, cuts the potential ad revenue in half and it is definitely a missing feature of an AdSense optimized theme.
Thus, consider a suggestion of mine to add support for AdSense Ad links and possibly widen the main part of the theme to 728px.
Thank you very much,
D.
Thnaks Bogdan, actully i already use this ADS, but i talk about the other empty space http://prnt.sc/cs1xjo, !
Thanks
Update:
I have managed to reach my desired results by doing the following:
1. I removed all AdSense link ads from Theme Panel > ADS.
2. I installed a plugin called AdSense Plugin WP QUADS: https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded/
3. I used the plugin for the top and inline ads in posts.
4. I used the settings under Theme Panel > ADS to force the desired sizes.
That solved my problems so the thread may be marked as solved, but I would like to know if there’s is a native way, without other plugins to reach the desired results.
Thank you in advance,
D.
Hi, I need mi site logo appears fullwith in smartphone WITHOUT Menu and Search icons in the same file like the attached sample image. That image is of Broden Theme, is of another theme. I want to know how do it with Newspaper theme.
I tried some setting options but always appears Menu and Search logos on the sides of the logo in the same file.
Attached files (Broden Theme and NewsPaper Theme) on: https://we.tl/wDlWdUu5OI
Please, I want just the logo without icons on the sides, but I need logo and ads keep in the same file in the desktop computer version like default configuration, my problem is only in mobile…
Please I don´t want to use the version with logo centered y want logo on left and ads on right.
Thanks
All I understood you.
My client wants his ad displayed only on the home page of the site (homepage, http://www.site.com) and not on any more. If put its code in the part dedicated to the ads in the header then his ad will run on all pages in the header, and I just want a home page, and to the other pages displaying Google Adsense
Hello,
We are talking about placing ads on the home page, categories, articles, to see on all devices. Desktop, Tablet and Mobile.
Currently place Google Adsense ads and I have an offer to put one banner only at home page site. On other pages of the site to display Google ads (currently).
I could not put the ad in the header and that is only seen on the home page in the header, that advertisement, but on all other parties to go to Google ads.
I somehow decided rearranging pages so I added below Header – although I would like to save it anyway and that this an ad displayed in the header only on the home page.
This how I solved only appears in the desktop version, the tablet and the mobile will not.
In Drupal I do that so that I made block and determine where and on which the parties to the shows and it works fantastic, but the WP is almost a mission impossible …
I’m sending you a picture so you can see the current status. Thanks and greetings for the best theme for WordPress.

Hi Catalin,
The information you provided was useful I think, and I’ll investigate this. Most of our non-Google ads are working fine, but I’ll look into this issue another time.
My main problem is the theme adding unwanted characters to code. Whether or not this is for an ad or anything else isn’t really relevant. How do I get the & symbol to remain a & and not get converted into &?
I’m sorry if this is a problem across all WordPress themes – I’ve not come across it before but I’m not hugely experienced.
Ned
Hi,
It seems to be a pattern here about the ClamAV antivirus. It seems to be the only anti-virus until now that detects a threat in our theme. Here is another topic that states the same thing:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/white-screen-after-server-migration/
We can assure you that our theme is virus free and all envato themes are virus free as envato himself scans all uploads before providing them or the general public. So there are 2 grantees here. One from us at tagDiv and another from Envato.
I hope this helps
Thanks.
Hello bustedflushltd,
Unfortunately, I do not know what type of ad code you are using, but please notice that our theme has been designed to use only the Google Adsense code and also, if you want to create your banner ad you will have to use the DIV’s method according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/ For more information about our ads, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I’ve got some ads I want to display using HTML code from the ad provider. The ads always finish with a section of code that has ampersands in them, like this: id=3790&cid=9537&ctgid=1001
I can put the code into a post (under the Text tab, not the Visual tab) and all appears well, but as soon as I save the post or switch from Text back to Visual that section of code becomes: id=3790&cid=9537&ctgid=1001
In other words, something in the theme is turning the character & into &. This causes the ads to break because the code is not recognized.
Can someone help me understand how to get this to stop?
Thank you,
Ned
Hi,
The implementation method is different It did not fit perfect as it was a responsive ad. The theme shrunk the image to fit the container. Adsense cannot do that. If adsense does not have the exact size, it will default to another ad. Only if you use adsense responsive ads will you be able to do it. Like i said above the content is only 696 pixels wide. There is nor room for a 728 px ad. Here is an example of a 728 px image inside the post content with sidebars: http://screencast.com/t/gSDZfW9K6Fb
Thank you!
Hi tagdiv.
I have been trying for a week now to get my ads system to work. I really want ads on my website, no matter how i place the code from google adsense it won’t show advertisement. I tried to follow your full guide to get ads to show in the sidebar on the home page and other pages, but it just leaves a blank space, besides that i tried putting the code in the articles top, and also there it just leaves a blank space on top of the articles written.
I een tried building html widget and put the code in that, and even though it still just leaves a blank space.
I checked that i created the adsense correct, and for hosting im using http://www.one.com
I hope you have a solution for me, so that i can show ads on my website.
Best regards:
The desperate.
Hi,
Our theme was built to work with the standaqrd adsense code. Since then, adsense released a whole bunch of new ads we did not have the chance to implement. They can work but they require something extra. Please read this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/page-level-ads-problems/
As for your other ad problems, please try to disable all plugins except visual composer. clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test ads again. As an alternative, try to use adrotate to eliminate the theme ad system and see if the ads run with a plugin and not the theme system so we can rule out any theme related issue.
Thank you!
Yes I have this same issue – Adsense isn’t on site now because of this – happy not to use Adsense but following topic to see if there is an answer –
Tried asynchronous and other Adsense code
It affects ads implemented using a VC block
Hi Bogdan,
thank you for your answer but the homepage still doesn’t show ads. (it’s easy to see the header banner is missing in homepage)
You may be correct and this could be a google problem but it strange because the site is not banned by google as all other pages have banners.
If I put a parameter in front of the URL everything works (e.g http://www.mulherportuguesa.com/?a=1)
I was thinking in some kind of js conflict (no errors in console) but I’ll try to discover.
Meanwhile, as a suggestion, the theme is missing a configuration for the new adsense product “Page Ads”.
Thank you and regards
Hello,
Well we have not tested any ads from html5maker.com so I cannot provide any solution to something that is not tested and we have no clue about it;s functionality. For non adsense ad codes we suggest using this method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/ If your ad does not work with this method, you will have to use a plugin to render ads. Our ad system will render most ads but not all of theme. Originally it was built to work with adsense only.
Thank you!
I’m migrating the site from one domain to another, and while in one place it works well, in new domain, it doesn’t work.
The wp-config is configured, it loads the theme, the content, but it stops in images and gives some jquery error.
The website is http://www.happymindtravels.com
Hi,
I have the following problem:
I put inside the posts ads shortcode like this [td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"] and it works fine.
But if i put inside others like [td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_2"] or [td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_3"] there is still displayed the ad behind [td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"] however the codes are different in [td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_2"] and [td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_3"].
What can be the reason?
Thanks,
Judit
Hello,
After running the site for several weeks, yesterday my adsense banners disappear, only from first page and with a very strange behavior:
– using the preview page – everything is correct
– opening other pages – everything is correct
– running other sites in the same server – everything is correct
My site:
http://www.mulherportuguesa.com <- no ads in page
http://www.mulherportuguesa.com/amor <- page is showing ads
I’m missing ideas…
Thank you in advance for any help.
Regards
António
Hello spyngr,
Please keep in mind that our theme has been designed to use only the Google Adsense code for Advertisement and another alternative, in this case, would be using other ads according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/ If you are using other system ads, please notice that our theme does not recognise it and that’s why you will encounter some issues, sorry! Also, the theme is not tested with Opera Mini browsers and some errors may occur using this.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Did you check your posts after you posted them?
You only created 3 topics including this one. Here are the other 2:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/my-sidebar-wont-stay-fixed/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/why-arent-my-ads-showing-up-properly/
Please double check before making any accusations.
Your issues are the same as in your previous topic. you have plugin conflicts affecting the theme JS and breaking theme elements. Disable all plugins except visual composer. clear cache and reset cdn files and then check again. Also check any customization in your child theme or js optimization you may have in place that can break the theme js.
Thank you!
Yes, Jetpack slows down site; anything which “loads from another server,” such as Jetpack, ads, etc., slows down your site due to page load, and not related to theme. You either need to NOT use that stuff, or find a workaround for using something else.
WordPress offers Jetpack as something intended for bloggers intent on making content and not necessarily fasted speed scores.
Often checking your site, such as post page, with GTmetrix.com is best course of action to tune your site.
Also see my own long winded tutorial in the tutorials > best of forums section.
Site is not penalized for <h3> tags …. <h2> tags only useful for persistent content, like a sub-headline, or a section head. All other “presentational” headlines, index links to articles, etc., can be <h3>. Google does not penalize you for using h3 tags. h1 tags are used for SEO, h2 is generally only used once on a page also, and h3 is used for all supplemental sub-heads, section heads, relational heads, etc.
Content is more important than h2 vs h3.
But you might provide an example of where on your page, post, index, etc., you feel this isn’t being done properly in your particular usage ?
( I don’t work here, but started web dev in 1994, and SEO in 1995 (!) … so ….. know something about it … )
