Hi,
The theme has a news ticker, it can slide posts (it will show the post titles)
This can be placed anywhere the tagDiv composer can be used. That does not include the top menu or main menu.
The ticker or any other page elements cannot be used in the menu, only in the page content, or as of recently when building post templates, category templates etc.
You could try a ticker or news sliding plugin which has options for positioning, then display that on top of the website. That would be one way to do it.
So say I have a main category, it uses a category template. If I want to customize/edit that specific categories main page, how would I do that. Or would I need to create a new custom page and include a category feed? There’s gotta be a way to do this right, it’s too much needed.
Hi There,
I was using the SmartList template for a template. However,I want to set it up to prevent the user from clicking the next button until the page is loaded and the URL is updated. Currently, if users are clicking fast enough, it would appear that the user jumped from page 1 – 9 in the URL.
I love that it loads super fast which is important but I would prefer if there was some sort of 1 second delay before they could press it again.
Hello,
The test for pages is done like so: http://newsflash.in/?amp
However our amp plugin will only show the amp template for pages that have not been created using a page builder. It will show the standard page otherwise.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Thanks.
Hi,
You can edit the page with the tagDiv composer, add/modify/remove elements as needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-block-settings-tutorial/
Widgets can be modified in Appearance->Widgets. Maybe you are referring to the editor picks in the footer? There are footer templates with predefined content, also there are empty templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/
If you need help with something specific, mention what exactly that is and where it is located. A link to your website would also help if possible.
Thanks

Ah this has happened to me on my homepage too, not major issue as I show 25 posts, and hasn’t affected views – it isn’t a Cloud Template though – perhaps the same issue and look forward to a fix

Hello,
I do not have a great experience of WordPress. I bought Newspaper because I love the “Old Fashioned” theme and would like to use it as a basis for my blog.
The problem is that I can’t understand how to customize the block that is under the “featured article” (I mean the one where there are the titles “US SOIL” and “AROUND THE WORLD”: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_old_fashioned/).
I can’t find them on the widget page (I thought they were lists by categories, but “us soil” and “around the world” aren’t categories or tags).
Please could you tell me in which section of the menu I can edit this block without having to edit directly the css? Thanks in advance for the help.
Hey,
I am using post template 6 and would like to turn off the parallax effect at the top header image? Is there an option?
Thanks
Tom
Hey,
I just wondering why I don’t see any breadcrumb on my article pages. I am using post template 6 and it looks like its the only template that has no breadcrumbs. Once I switch to post tempplate 1 or 2, its there.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/7nwji9qkf5x9y1o/Screenshot%202018-07-20%2016.13.05.png?dl=0
Is there a solution?
Thanks
Tom
That would be the only solution I can think of, someway to minimize the page in the browser. There is a design issue that causes this problem with the cloud template screen. What browser are you using? most allow you to zoom, for example
– https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/96810?hl=en
We will fix this issue, sorry for the inconvenience.
I see now what you are refereeing to, I don’t think that this is intended for inner rows, the inner columns do not have the sticky option. I will add this on our suggestion list and it will be considered.
As for cloud templates, there are many new ones to come. Our designer team have many more ideas and are working as we speak to create beautiful templates. We are glad that you appreciate the work, and you are having fun with the theme and page builder.
Please have a nice day!
Hi Simion,
Many thanks for your answers, it’s very helpful. Look forward to seeing the theme and templates continue to develop.
The issue we’re currently having with the sticky sidebar using cloud templates is as follows:
When we have the sidebar in a normal row, it works fine, like this page:
http://compareallvans.co.uk/revised-hyundai-i20-on-sale-at-13995/
When we try to put the same sort of layout into an inner row (so we can have a coloured background to the main row for contrast), the sticky sidebar stops working, like this page:
http://compareallvans.co.uk/most-capable-jeep-wrangler-on-sale-in-september/
I assume that we’re doing something wrong, but we can’t work out what it is.
Our only other major problem at the moment is that we are having so much fun using the TD composer and cloud templates to create that many new template designs, we can’t work out which ones to actually use for the final version of the site! So far we’ve created about a dozen that we like, and just playing with the different elements is giving us more and more ideas…

Hi,
So you want to position the author box in the post page differently in the post structure, from the bottom of the article page to the top.
I see you use the latest theme version, so with the help of the tagDiv composer and Cloud library plugin that will be possible.
With the cloud plugin you can now design post templates as you wish. Choose a blank template if you want to start from scratch, or a predefined cloud template which you can use as it is or modify it
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So for example dragging and dropping the author box in a different location will be easy

Thanks
Hi,
We are aware of the issue with the pagination in relation to cloud templates used on category pages. It was mentioned before by a user. I believe the issue is close to being fixed and than it will be tested. The next theme update will include this and other fixes.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
I’m trying to import a template but once I click on “import” then the confirm message it appears to be behind the import pop-up page and I can’t click “ok”.
If I close the import pop-up page then also the confirmation message disappears and I can’t import anything.
Any idea about how to fix it??
Hi guys,
We are playing around with tagDiv composer for our site redesign and it is amazing. We are still learning new things everyday as we explore new ideas. The ability to be able to control how the site appears on each screen size at a granular level is brilliant.
Also really pleased with the new cloud template function. It addresses my biggest bugbear with Newspaper – the ability to adjust the overall width of the columns – but it’s allowing us to create some genuinely unique page designs rather than seeing different sites that look exactly the same as ours.
Couple of requests for future updates. Some may already have been mentioned, some may be bugs, some may not currently be on your radar, but hopefully it helps:
– can’t choose a sidebar from the main post composition screen if using a cloud template. We would like to be able to run sidebars that are customised for different article categories, but that’s not currently possible. We could create several near-identical page templates, each with a different sidebar, to address this but it seems clunky when everything else is so sleek.
– paginated articles don’t work. It doesn’t seem to recognise page breaks. We may be missing something but we really can’t get it to work.
– TD composer doesn’t have accordion/tab functionality. We’re currently scratching our heads to work out how we will replicate or replace this, as we currently run a lengthy glossary that uses an accordion to hide and display all the descriptions, and we can’t do this with TD composer.
– following on from the above, it would be great to have the ability to load anything into a row that only displays a certain height and then has a ‘load more’ pagination function, like the blocks do for posts. For example, we are using the testimonial features in quite a different way, but there will be potentially loads of them on a page so it would be good to only show a few with the rest hidden behind a ‘load more’ button. See here:http://compareallvans.co.uk/reviews/ford-fiesta-active-2018/
– we have been trialling closing off comments after X days. Using cloud templates, this causes a “Comments are closed” message to pop up at the top of the page under the menu. See here:
http://compareallvans.co.uk/used-car-warranty-consumer-rights/
This doesn’t happen with the traditional Newspaper templates, which display the message in the correct place after the last comment.
– We’re currently having trouble with smart sidebars using inner rows, but this is probably our own fault rather than a bug.
– Newspaper (and Newsmag) lack behind other themes when it comes to presenting reviews. Given how slick the rest of the features are, this is something we’d really like to see developed in future editions. We’re also currently looking at plugins for incorporating user ratings, but not sure whether they’ll play happily with TD composer.
Thanks guys, and we’re really enjoying building a new site with Newspaper 8.8!

Hi,
At the moment I can’t say exactly if posts could be created with our tagDiv composer in the future, I believe the accent will be more on creating templates for posts, categories, tags etc.
So post templates can be designed in any way possible with the composer. We will create more and more templates, created by our designer team and ready to be imported from the cloud library.
Sorry if this is not enough, you could keep using WPBakery and deactivate the tagDiv composer. That would be one way to actually build posts like pages.
Thanks
Hello Rohit,
Keep in mind that the Editor Picks is just a simple Block 7 set up by default for Footer template. There is no option that allows you to change it. If you do not like it, you should not choose to use Footer Template which uses that block and create it by yourself, using a page for your Footer section or, for example, Footer Style 5 which allows you to add any elements you want at the Footer section.
Regarding your second request, you should use such a custom CSS code to change the color. Please use the Inspector Browser, according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Those are not hero elements, it is a simple full width row with a background image set. In that row there are columns title elements, inline text or column text elements. You can also do that if you want to
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5GwHpQ7cIc
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cRLRSic4
The page template with menu overlay is indeed used, you can use that as well
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3OfTRt6fO
The demo page content is provided in the theme, all demos are. For the Spa demo the pages are here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xQm6ZDtTTskQ
You can copy that content in a page and edit it with the tagDiv composer for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CPzfXp3Z
Thanks
One more problem is there !! , Page break is not workingin cloud templates and no pagination is there when there is page break
Hi,
Then a condition like this will work – https://www.screencast.com/t/LqE4k7wx
The header add will be loaded only on post pages after making this condition.
You can modify the header templates in a child theme, so after a theme update the modification will not be lost

Hello,
The paginated smartlists do not work in AMP pages, all the items of the list appear in a single page.
I want to have same functionality as my desktop version and have the Smartlists using for example Smart List 6 template.
is it possible?
I’ve just installed the new template and I’ve been trying to access some of the elements and I’m not having any luck. When I click on Cloud Templates and then click Add New, I receive an error message Invalid reply from server endpoint.
When I try to use the tagDiv Composer on a page, it takes it a while to load and then when it does, I click on an element to add it and then it just spins on the page and does not add the element.
I’ve activated the theme and I’m on a cloud VPS, I don’t have shared hosting. What is happening?
