I’ve been using Newpaper theme for ages (since ver 4 I think).
The update to 8.5 looks daunting to me, particularly since I’m still using ver 6
How would I find a Newspaper Theme expert who could do the update for me?
Any clues or URL would be helpful.

The right side (under the featured area).
1. the header “This Week issue” auto inserted text “Html code here! Replace this with any non empty text and that’s it.”, when editing it there is nothing there!
2. right under that we had 4 images that used to fit to boxes size nicely.. like magazine covers.. and now they stretch very very long?!

I updated to the version 4 of Newsmag but after entering the activation code, it takes me to a page where I have to create a new forum user. If I enter my current user, email and password it says:
-Current username is already used, try another one
-Current email is registered with another account
Any tips to solve this? Thank you!

The theme looks fantastic! It is easy to add new posts and get them to look great.
I have two issues with the Newspaper theme that I need help on:
1. The mobile menu is not working properly on mobile devices. I upgraded to the new V8 theme, and ever since, I can not update the mega menu in the WordPress menu section. It does not give me the option to add featured posts of categories to the mega menu either. All but one of the menu items work on mobile. The main item, the drop down with the images of the posts is not working on mobile. News Room is the menu item that does not show properly on mobile. I have not been too impressed with the mobile app add-on, as you can not view actual pages and are limited to only posts. So, I am using the responsive theme without the mobile app add-on. I realize that it speeds up the mobile site, but if you can not get them to look the same, what is the point?

2. When using the TagDiv builder, I noticed that you can not add any links to any of the content. You have descriptions for content for team/staff members bios, content blocks, text with titles, and all do NOT allow you to add a simple little link. Any advice on how to make this work? We have some team members that have websites or links to youtube videos, and this can not be added to the team section. The social media icons are cool, but not everyone has those as contact info. What about a phone number, email, and a website link? Not seeing those vital things for the team feature. I did see an option to add your own HTML code, but that is why we are using the builder to speed things along and have features like hero sections, title and text, and the many more you offer.

Thanks for your reply. I did as you suggested, installed wp super cache and copied the settings as suggested. I thought it fixed the problem as it updated temporarily, but now it’s not updating again. Can I email you login credentials so you can take a look? In the last update pack, I have the old version of Slider Revolution ( 5.4.6.3.1), not the last update 5.4.6.4. Is that normal ?

Hi,
Visual composer was removed from that folder a few updates ago, since it is not considered a required plugin. From that moment it is provided in the main theme package, in the plugins folder

Well if you had bothered answering posts in turn I wouldn’t need to bump it, and now you have actually replied to me so it clearly did work in this instance. It must be gremlins that turned up coincidentally the second after updating to 8.6 ruining everyone’s site layout. I will rollback the site to 8.5 and wait for you to sort out the non existent issues in a patch or future update.

@Animesh_007 The composer is tested with the new update and works accordingly. The new update simply improves the theme social part, and provides various fixes. There is no general issue with the composer.
If you tried the suggestions mentioned above related to the theme system status, please give it a try while having all plugins deactivated (except theme plugins)

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this has not solved it. Chrome with no extensions it isn’t working. Same with IE (old version – at work), or Firefox. Same result in all browsers, no extensions.
Worth noting that elements that aren’t very tall by default (such as the HTML RAW Code one) are not selectable. It just selects the entire column. Taller options (such as, Slide images for example), are. Not sure why this is.
This behavior only begun with 8.6 update.

Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest theme method in this case. Also, make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme with all the plugins updated. ok. Thanks for the support. I’ve located the real problem plugin. It was “YITH WooCommerce Customize My Account Page”. They released an update which fixed the issue.

Please notice that’s a more complicated to manually add the ad code to each post without a loop. Why does the Article Inline Ad not work? I have tested on my side and everything seems to work as expected. Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme, check all of your plugins to be updated and if you are using some untested ones, you should remove all of them if you want to achieve best theme results.

Before you start advising to up my parameters in wp_config, that’s set to 512MB on advise of my hosting provider months ago, Debug is false.
I updated to Newspaper 8.5 with Multipurpose plugin. I needed to ad a Raw HTML element to a page with TD Composer. This worked fine the first time, but I couldn’t edit the HTML-code. I get a screen (left side screen) with Save Shortcode. I can click on the element to replace the standard text with raw HTML, but nothing happens. Trying ‘Save Shortcode’ I need to enter a name and save it. Don’t have a clue what that means, but I can not enter any raw HTML code in the element.
Returned to Dashboard and tried TagDiv Composer on a page that already has a correct Raw HTML element in place (and working in frontend), but TD Composer doesn’t load anymore. It hangs and does nothing. Then I disabled the Multi Purpose plugin, but there was no improvement. I realy need to be able to edit my pages, but now I’m stuck. This is bad for business, so please help!

Maybe you have files which were modified in the last theme update, inside the child theme. Such as the td_module_single.php for example

This file was modified in the update. If it is present in the child theme, the socials may not work properly.

Hello bananaj,
Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme which comes bundled with the theme core files. Check all the bundled plugins to be updated to the latest version of it. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them because these might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Notice that the plugins should works as expected if it will be right installed according to our documentation.

Note that code entered in Theme panel custom code sections will not be lost if the theme is updated. It is saved in the database. This fact and a child theme are considered safe ways of theme customization.

last night 22:14 I deleted those pics from wordpress media library — and post updated pictures back again…
Since I reported to you – probably deleted 30 times…
It is outside of the wordpress structuralised media system : wp-uploads folder – but not in the YEAR/MONTH directory..
Yesterday morning I reseted wordpress with clean install after drop all table in db.
Then imported back everything with xml’s.
The problem the same+a few more..
1., mobil theme has interfere with the ahmed kaludi’s ampforwp plugin – mobil-view on desktop/laptop pc. ( contacted with them also )

There is a massive server resource ( 30gib ram, 2*2.1 ghz cpu, 100 gib NVE-SSD disk, cloudlinux 7, litespeed webserver, cloudflare railgun, etc ).
When created this ticket the website was on Nginx server. Since its moved to new location, problem not only the same but more.
