@veljo make sure you download the current theme’s version available on themeforest then follow our update documentation to complete the update process.

Make sure you update the Visual Composer plugin from /plugins folder included i theme’s path. The older version of VC have some issues with new version of WordPress so make sure you update the plugin at V 4.11.2, here is our update documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Unfortunately the free version bundled with our theme cannot be activated as we cannot provide an activation key. You can ignore this message as we will provide updates for the plugin along with the theme updates.

Unfortunately there is no exact solution for this. There is a workaround though but it will grab other category tags as well so you will not have only 1 category tag anymore. This was a design choice made by the developers in order to prevent too many colors displayed on the homepage. This feature is already on our list of updates but it’s the developers decision if this will make it into the theme. That happens because you’re using latest version of WordPress which generate a jQuery conflict with V 2.3.5 or older of Newsmag. We updated the theme and included the latest version of Visual Composer, V 4.11.2, which is testes and works fine with WordPress. Also we fixed the jQuery conflict so try to update the theme and the VC plugin following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ clear all caches and test again.

Since I Upgraded to latest wordpress installation yesterday on 14th April, I can’t see any images on my site. I am able to upload image in my post but on front end it goes invisible. I updated to latest version of theme but still problem persists. Please tell me what to do.

i have update the theme version (2.3.6) but it still not working
The strange thing is, Visual Composer says I have to pay for it. I have, so therefore can’t update.
the vc/jscomposer plugin is in the ‘all files’ download from themeforest in the oddest of places — the plugins folder! — so, you might try getting it from there.

You need to update both theme and plugin to fix issue with WP 4.5.
Delete old jscomposer folder in your plugins folder, upoload new one. Clear caching/CDN, and also transients using wp-optimize or similar.

Download the new version with theme; updated yesterday.
Sign up for email updates for when theme is update from the downloads page in your ThemeForest account.
Theme was updated this week for WP 4.5; check your download folder on ThemeForest, also sign up for ‘update emails’ there so you know when the theme has been updated 🙂

Hi I am having a problem with my featured images. None of them are showing and I can’t reload a new image to any of my posts. I phoned my domain support and they informed me that wordpress has gone through some updates and that this theme has not been updated to accompany these change. My site is looking awful without images as it showcases multiple posts on the homepage. I need a solution on this ASAP!. Thanks very much.
Like others my visual composer stopped working. I tried to update the VC using the instructions in the forums but, when I get to “upload plugin/choose” I cannot find the vc file in my plugins. The other plugins are there, but not VC.

The menu isn´t working well in my site (www.videosupporters.com) since that yesterday I made the update of Newspaper 6.
More exactly, when I select, for example, “Europe”, it appears a white box with no text, and the text appears only if I pass the mouse hover the box; in the same way, if I put the mouse hover “Southern Europe”, it appears a white box, and only if I pass the mouse hover the white box is that appears the sub-menus “Greece”, “Italy”, “Spain” and “Portugal”.
So, I ask you how to solve this problem.

I tried to re upload the theme files after i got email saying updates for newsmag are available for me. But when i tried to upload the theme file download to site i got a message saying that theme installation failed as there was no “style.css” file.
Could you please send me a correct zip file/ link to it asap

That never works for me; using FTP is always best choice as you can also download working backup of site before doing update, in case you need to ‘roll back’
