UPDATE
——
I have re-inserted the exchange widget, configured the exchange widget and inserted the API key. Yet it’s saying: Api key is empty. Configure this block/widget and enter an api key ?
What do I do?
These are my advanced settings in WP Super Cache. When I update an article, the edits go into effect instantly. It seems that when I change anything design-wise, it doesn’t change instantly. Why is this?
I updated my servers to dedicated servers. Now, when i make edits to my site, the WP Super Cache doesn’t flush. I didn’t change anything in the settings of the plugin. This is within TagDiv in WordPress. You can see I have added a stock ticker to my main page, and changed the line to red.
Once I save, and view within WordPress it looks fine. But when I go to an incognito window, it doesn’t adapt the changes. Also on my phone, it doesnt adapt the changes
When I go to test the cache this is what it shows.. I have not changed any of the WP Super Cache settings and the TagDiv System Status shows Green.
PLEASE help. I don’t know why it isn’t caching.
Hello again!
Got some more questions for you 🙂
How can I change the width of text in a post, independent of the featured image? To see what I mean: Compare the text in The Atlantic with mine.
In the same post on my website, please take note of the way the quote looks and compare it to this. Any idea why it doesn’t look the same? The latter is how it looks when I’m editing. Do you have any tips for good plugins or some other way that gives me more options on the appearance of a quote?
Do you also know the easiest way to back up my website? I’m asked to do this before I update WordPress, but I have now idea how this is done.
Is it necessary for me to create a child theme as well? Any tips on how this can be done?
Hope you have a good day and a good weekend!
All the best,
Roger
Hello Admin,
My client was using a an older version of NewsMag and the currency sticker was displaying fine, Until I update and upgraded the theme; Now is disappeared.
Please, how do I get to display again as before?
Below is the screenshot of how the site was before the upgrade
https://i.postimg.cc/Bbzqq4mh/currency-sticker-disappeared.jpg
I await your response soonest
Best regards
Setup: WordPress + the theme + yoast
Action: setup Yoast -> run optimizer -> Yoast is doing ajax requests to its own API and the WordPress API
Most requests are parsed correctly, then suddenly on one of the /post responses, the modal is added (while the json response is there too, it’s not an authentication issue).
Can I do something to fix this myself? Also, why are all the tdb_templates reachable on my site and how did the crawler find them?

Hi stringbenderb5, this situation is because you are using an old theme version, probably 10.3 and the last one is 11.4.1, so my recommendation is to make a full backup for your website and database and update the theme. Please make it via FTP/cPanel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ -> https://i.imgur.com/DLm726y.png
Thank you!
Hi,
The code from the /wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/td_config.php on line 33214 is related to the personal Instagram account -> https://i.imgur.com/s2OJIaA.png
I made some tests, But I do not see how this can affect the website, at list for me is working correctly.
What I can suggest, is to update the theme via FTP/cPanel -> https://i.imgur.com/QWuAITM.png, but only after you have made a full backup. IN case that the problem persist, please disable all non theme plugins and try again!
Let me know the results!
Newspaper seems to be making roughly 30 versions of each image that is uploaded. I disabled all plug-ins, so I believe it’s coming from the theme. Can you let me know how I can stop this from happening, as I have over 1.5 million files now?
I’m also running an outdated version of the theme; my plan is to update it in late March, because now is our busy season and I have been unable to upload it except via FTP, and I have been afraid of data loss.
Would appreciate any advice.
I do not think it is the case of alignment. Practically speaking, if you visit the website, go to the pop-up menu and click the categories Lagos legends (has 3 posts), In loving Memory (has 2 posts), Abuja: Builders & Reformers/Updates & Trends (has 1 post). All these categories I have listed are not displaying their corresponding post. The question is why these categories are not displayed. I need to resolve this issue for my client.
Secondly, the category Peculiar People has 5 posts, but only 2 are displayed when clicked. I do not understand this kind of anomaly.
The Change makers and the Portraits of Patriots categories are displaying just fine. They have over 15 posts each. I wonder if there is a minimum number a category should have before posts under it can be displayed. I hope I am clearer this time. Thank you
I got the nearly the same probleme here.
/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/td_config.php on line 33214
Just another line?
Update from 10.4 to 11.4.1
After the update everything is fine in the admin area but site is not working in FE due to inactive builder. It shows only the div builder tags.
When I activate tagDiv composer the admin area and frontend is directly down. I just click on install and than activate and the admin can’t be used anymore and get directly the error msg.
When I change the name of the plugin via ftp
/wp-content/plugins/td-composer to something else => admin is directly working again
My first idea was W3 total cache might be the reason. I deactivated it without successfull update. Than completly removed it but without success.
After each not successfull update I added a backup before the update but could not find the reason for it.
Any idea how to solve it or find the reason?
Hi,
You are using an old theme version. It is working properly with WordPress 5.9.1 ?
If you want to make a theme update, I recommend to make it first on staging or on subdomain, and only after you have a full backup for the website and database.
What you should do is to update the theme via FTP/cPanel, delete the old theme and set the new one, after that from Newsmag > plugins install the theme plugins. Here is a guide that can be used -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello @cham!
This issue about DOM Size has been already discussed here, please check: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/can-you-help-reduce-excessive-dom-size/
You need to take into account many factors:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.
Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update.
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Thank you for understanding!
Hello @dano1066!
We will take in consideration your query for the future updates.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
I am using tagDiv’s Newsmag theme v3.4.
WordPress new version 5.9.1 is available. Will there be any issue, if I update it?
Is there any precautions while updating.
Website URL: http://www.takethiscourse.net
Thanks,
Imran
Hello @sgupta!
The issue with the bounce rate has been discussed already here, please check: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/high-bounce-rate-after-back-up/
Yes, we are thinking for an update, but it’s still on testing. We will take in consideration your query.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
I think it’s great that you’re adding this to the list. A live blog function would be great, especially when it comes to current events (sports, storms). In principle, it would only be a special page where postings with headings, text and possibly image/video are lined up, with an update button.
I would even buy it as a paid “extra” to the theme if the price of about 10-15 euros as an “extra” per year remained within limits. And I certainly wouldn’t be the only one who might be interested.
Thomas
Hello @burakcihan!
We will investigate this situation and we hope to release a solution in the next updates.
Thank you for understanding!
Is there any sort of workaround we can program ourselves that will allow us to use cloud templates with custom posts and taxonomies?
I have found that if you create a taxonomy page in the theme so “taxonomy-name.php”. Inside this theme, I have taken the shortcodes from the cloud template and it does load up the CSS correctly but I am unsure how to modify this to query posts for the taxonomy as the data showing is incorrect. Replacing category_id=”‘.$term->term_id.'” will populate some of the shortcodes with the correct data but not all of the shortcodes have this argument. I could add it to the theme code but it would lock me out of updates in the future then, so not ideal.
Considering how easy this was to do, surely it isn’t a massive obstacle to add cloud template support for custom taxonomies and posts?

Update: I rolled back to WordPress 5.9, and it’s even worse. I cannot click on or make any changes in the theme panel, and my only option to fix this is to update to WordPress 5.9.1, which then fixes this.
I had the same issue as you before, and I contacted my hosting provider (SiteGround), and they were able to update the WP memory limit for me.
I have a few issues I need help with:
1. TagDiv composer is stuck on loading, and I cannot edit any pages as a result – image
Note: I have already checked mod_substitute and followed the guide to set it to 10M
2. The main navigation menu is glitched, and I cannot access the submenu – image
3. In the theme panel > template settings > image loading – animations (LazyLoad), if I enable ‘use loading animation image’ then my site will not display the images. This is the issue that lead to all of the above issues that I am now left with, and here’s the backstory about what’s going on:
The site was working perfectly fine on Feb 18th. No additional changes were made, and when I came to look at the site again after the long weekend on Feb 22nd, I discovered the issue where the images on the site were not displaying. After a whole day of trouble shooting, and restore backups to Feb 19th and before Feb 18th, I discovered that the way to get the images to show up was to disable the loading animation in ‘3.’ (from above). Now the images, work and I am starting to discover all sorts of issues with the website (point ‘1.’ and ‘2.’ from above). I’ve checked the system status, and the only one that is not green is the mod_substitute, which I have already followed your guide and updated correctly. I’ve reinstalled the newspaper theme and am running 11.4.1. I updated wordpress and am using 5.9.1, I even tried with the previous older version and it still was not working. I am using supercache and cloudflare to the exact recommended specifications. My hosting provider is Siteground, and I have already gone into there to reset permissions. I am completely stumped with what’s going on and have accepted that the theme is not behaving normally, but at least I need to be able to go into TagDiv composer to be able to make up for the issues.
I have no idea how to change these system status settings
I need to update my memory and the system. On Tuesday I will have around 100,000 people visiting my site and I CANT let it crash.
The help documents are pretty useless. I have no idea what they mean or how to make the changes.
1) Do i need to update my PHP version? if so, how?
2) I don’t know how to change my memory
3) what is PHP max time and input vars?
Please someone help, I HAVE to update these so I can launch my website on Tuesday
