The best way to update the Newspaper Theme is to delete the current Newspaper Theme version and TagDiv Plugins and after that you can install the new version.

Also please note that there could be the chance to do some design work in order to adapt the old version to the new one.
Overwriting files will cause conflicts.

What i did was:
– I previously had restored Theme back to version 9.8
– I updated the Theme again to version 10.1 (using FTP. Updating Theme within WordPress did not work for me).
– Removed Cloud Library plug-in (it was already disabled after Theme update)
– Go to Newspaper Theme Welcome and push Update. It will go through all needed plug-ins and re-install Cloud Library automatically, and activate those plugins that were disabled during updating.
Menu’s now works !
I am not getting a new version notification in my WordPress. If I manually upload the latest files then I have to redo everything to set up the website as it is. Can anyone help me with this? I am confused and sorry if this is not relevant.

Hi, my site http://www.techmonquay.com has a problem where the site navigation menu bar becomes not functional after updating to newspaper 10. If i remove deactivate the newspaper theme then it works again. This problem only occurs on the desktop only. In mobile its working fine.

In changelog, it said can disable mobile time on page. How to that? I don’t see those option in Mobile panel or page.

We’ve updated the header and footer to both be Cloud-based, but we ran into a couple of things.
For the Header, everything seems to be working fine on Chrome and Firefox, but on Safari the sticky menu doesn’t show the “More” pulldown menu. Do we need a special custom code for that? It’s showing just fine in the normal menu on Safari before you start scrolling down.
For the Footer, there’s a white line at the very very bottom of the page. Is there a way to get rid of that?

In your case (update 10.0 to 10.1) – yes, just to upload files from patch_10_10.1 folder.
Do I need to repeat whole update process, delete all theme files and install them again, or just to upload files from patch_10_10.1 folder?
So I upgraded to 10.1. After that I’m not able to click menus. Its like its not linking to the page any longer, what happeneD?
I have the same problem on every site I use Newspaper. even with Newspaper X 10.1 update. Why don’t answer here for other users ?
hi i just update the x version and all the menus i created with TD composer(one from cloud header life news demo, and the other i have in the homepage created also with td composer) are not clickable anymore, i’m trying to do something but there s a bug somewhere i guess.. also if i re-create them, the issue is the same.

Usually there is need to remove or renamed only the theme and the theme plugins will be updated, but if you have an old version then we recommend to remove the theme plugins too.

I’m using the Cache plugin that was recommended for theme. But ever since the new update, view counts weren’t adding or going up. So I had to disable the cache option button for theme panel.
I updated to 10.1 and turned on cache for posts and it’s still not working.
If I turn the cache button off, the views count.
It got fixed by itself, i just had to update the plugins, i follow the same path with https://artisanmarket.org but there is something wrong, look at the website, i also disabled all plugins except the theme ones, and its still like that, what should i do?

Till the last 10 version update, all my quote are have no more the same look.
The box quote of the theme (those to put some text on the right or left) and the simple quote.

Normaly the text of the theme quote is in black small in the right of the page.
And the classic quote in black more little and in Georgia, 32px.

I went in the theme admin and notice some elements change in Fonts setting.
I change size of this two elements.
But don’t know how to change the color in black and put all the box on the right as is defined.

i updated the theme last week, and i found out after that my yoast plugin was effected.
it doesent register the headline, sub headline, links and so on.
With means i can no longer udate my texts for my homepage.
have anyone else had this problem? and what can i do to fix it?
That is the one in-article ad I set manually in Mobile Theme > Mobile Ads > Article Inline Ad. Before the Newspaper X update, AdSense Auto Ads would ad more ads below that in the article, but those are gone now.

we updated the theme and activated the Standard Pack to make the current look OK.
To use the new code optimize PRO version, I want to create a new template.
So I created a new page with nothing on it and first choose one of the PRO template header.
But it show me immediatly the current header and not a new one I choose.
And impossible to change.
When I go in Cloud Templates and try to edit a fresh PRO menu, I had these errors messages:
The current content hasn’t been created by TagDiv Composer!
Error at rows: 2(models) : 1(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)
I want to create a fresh new PRO template, activate it on the site and desacticate the Standard PAck plugin after.
What I have to do to achieve that?

The updated do not make any coinages to the website, please make sure that you do not had some customization in theme files, because these will be lost doing the updated.
Also please provide me a link to your website where I can check the problems you mentioned with the links and some screenshots with the results from Yoast SEO.

Please note that Newspaper Theme is a newspaper / magazine theme. You can however create blank pages and by using the woocommerce shortcodes provided by woocommerce and design your pages to your taste.
The only thing that will expire is your support, the updates are lifetime use. You can always have access to the updates.
