is there a way to change the Display name to say ‘My Profile’ Instead? and how do i add this to the child theme so i wont have to change it each update?

First of all, you should update the theme to the latest version of the theme which is 8.8.1. The WP Bakery 5.5 version is not yet tested with the theme but only 5.4.5 version which comes bundled with the latest version of the theme. Keep up the steps with our updates. We hope to update the WP Bakery in the future updates.

When I update the theme to version 8.8.1, the images have errors. All widgets that use images have them stretched, even if I set their size.

When you return to version 8.7.3, the site returns to display the images correctly.
Print Site Theme v8.7.3:
But simply, it returns to make mistakes. I update again to version 8.8.1, and the site seems to return to normal, but a few seconds later, the error reappears.

I’m still using Newspaper 8.5 and just received a notice to update my WP Bakery to version 5.5. I own a license for this, but I”m wondering if you make any modifications to the plugin (js-composer) before you release it with Newspaper updates. Or is it ok to try and updated it to the latest version (assuming there is no compelling reason not to)?

Hi, when I click on theme panel tabs (footer, template settings, ads, etc) it just scrolls the page to the top, none of them open at all.
Also when clicking on Save changes on the popup boxes settings nothing happen. This is from the last update.
I reinstalled the theme’s latest version a while ago but the problem remains.
Do you know what could be happening and how can I fix it?

After updating from Newspaper 8.4 to 8.8 yesterday several plug-ins deactivated (and I’m guessing updated) and I had to manually reactivate them. Multi-Purpose was one of them and when I try to activate it I get the following:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class td_api_multi_purpose in /********/wp-content/plugins/td-multi-purpose/td-multi-purpose.php on line 43
I’ve tried several things including however there’s no option on the Newspaper > Premium Plugin screen for it. I’ve also manually removing Newspaper and upgraded it after the error started with no success. Any suggestions?

got major sidetrack due to being diagnosed with type II diabetes in 2014; then spent 2 years getting that under control, and 2 years “curing” it — I am now cured and drug free as of Jan 1, but I was moving a bit slowly on all fronts due to taking drugs several times a day, losing 50 lbs, hour of cardio every day, blah blah ….
Finally got around to moving our web server to HTTP/2 on May 12, 2018 (that’s how far behind I was on THAT…) …
Right now, I’ve been working through the different strategies for optimizing website based on:
A) HTTP/2
B) mod_pagespeed “on” – but tuned for bandwidth by default, then turning on select elements; optimizing config to load images via /server/path/ vs http in order to auto-generate webp format images for mobile; necessary for removing comments dynamically including stuff like TagDiv still putting in the theme version in the comments readable by bots which is invitation for hacking for edge issues with XSS and whatnot (BAD!).
C) changing approach to above the fold, due to the way HTTP/2 works; testing whether or not “front loading critical CSS” inline is needed or not; so far, using Lighthouse in Chrome, it seems to matter after all…
D) big trick is optimizing CSS to remove “unused” CSS entirely; using an online tool to scan pages, then basically generate a CSS file that is 40% smaller prior to anything else; Google’s Lighthouse now counsels on this issue, quite nicely — problem with *all* themes out there, sadly.
Since I have my own server, my optimizations are based on running number of daily updated news portals; and trying not to use external CDN and trying not to use static caching beyond opcache for PHP 7.2x and HTTP/2 et al.
Since this subject has been changing so quickly the past couple of years, the whole book thing became a bit pointless as the landscape keeps shifting.
So, again – I kind of moved over to seeing how far we could go with
– https
– php 7.2x with opcache on
– no cdn, or caching plugin in WP
– mod_pagespeed for dynamic optimizations; static /paths/to/images/
– optimized CSS and JS files
– HTTP/2 for nextgen page delivery
– yes/no above the fold critical CSS testing (still in progress!)
– yes/no placement of css/scripts header or footer (still testing!)
– yes/no on combining css and js into single files or not
I am just uploading the new theme now, will see how it goes.

Please update the theme to the latest version of it which is 8.8.1. I saw that you are using an old theme version and this could be a reason for your issues. Update it via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.

Yup, I’d have to agree as we are using this through various updates and it’s only a problem with the iMacs on High Sierra. I’ll report back after trying to reset the cache in chrome.

I have made some tested on my website and the sticky logo on Affix works as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cNMkUbWqq8 Try to make a new install to another subdomain for testing, update all the required plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. I saw that all of your code is minified which can cause some problems with the theme. Use default theme settings and check the results.

We updated our MAC to the High Sierra OS after initially tested with El Capitan. Then we tested the composer interface with Safari and the latest version of Chrome

We made some tests but there were no layout issues with the composer settings.
I would suggest that you try and clear the browser cache and check again. If there are still problems let us know what they are exactly, if possible by a screenshot.

Love theme so much just purchased another license! Only gripe is that when instagram feed stopped working a few months ago, it still doesn’t work.
Just updated to 8.8.1 and it just says follow up @ instagram name. Doesn’t show actual feed like it did before.
How to fix?
