Hope someone can help. I’ve recently come across an issue in TD composer where I can no longer add text to a ‘title with text’ element or ‘column text’ element.
When I open up the window to add text the window shows but the visual element are not there and there and I can’t select the box to start typing. This is the same when I select the code input method.
I’m wondering weather this could be because of the updated WordPress editor so I downloaded the Classic editor to see if it would make a difference but to no avail.

If you use an old theme version, I suggest to update to the latest version 9.2.2 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ in near future.

I’m trying to use the Slideshow block in Visual Composer to stretch my images across the full page. I’ve managed to get the block to stretch properly, but as you can see at the link below, my images are not filling the entire block.

Is there a way to make the image fill the entire space? Alternatively, is there a way to make the Slideshow display images sized at 1920 x 1280? I don’t want to have to resize all of my images…

1. Why exactly can’t the WPBakery page builder be used anymore? It is provided in the theme package and we test it periodically, usually when it is updated

There is no need to active the WPBakery plugin, only purchased versions from the plugin author will have a license key. The bundled version with the theme doesn’t have to be activated.

Please notice that we do not recommend to use Newspaper 8.8 with the latest version of Visual Composer, sorry! If you want to use the latest version of Visual Composer, you have to download the latest theme’s packet from your Theme Forest account because this has included the latest version of required plugins.

I ll try to explain what happened this morning
0. I already had installed Nespaper 8.7 site with Multi-purpose set pages and visual edited with tagDiv Composer
1. i have updated WP to newest version 5.01
2. Everything worked with all additional plugins as it was before point 1, except page where i had tagDiv Composer made block showing all posts sorted by newest first and with Load more option. This page suddenly gave white blank page
3. I thought that maybe its because new WP and i need new version of Newspaper theme, so i downloaded it from Envato and installed it (9.2.2)
4. I ve activated theme and suddenly all pages turn blank white, even admin page. Managed to fix this and at least to get admin page by renaming manually Newspaper theme folder.
5. Then I thought that its maybe because of plugins that goes with Newspapers, so i reinstalled tagDiv Composer and others td’s with those provided files in installation
6. Finally i have following situation:
– only tagDiv Composer is activated, of all plugins, site works (w/o some additional functionalities which other plugins provide)
– if i activate Classic Editor plugin and/or td speed booster, site still works
– if i activate any other plugin, even td Social counter to not mention other as those important Wordfence Security, Yoast and similar, entire site goes again in white blank pages
I ve tried to make theme inactive, deleted Newspaper folder and reinstalled it again. Problem hasn’t changed.
What to do? What could be so wrong? I m not skillful with this and WP, just common user.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I understand that the cloud library is a new feature and is not yet compatible with the WPML plugin.
May I please ask my question in a different way?
We have to create custom category pages other than the existing templates that are available. We did that using the cloud library but since they cannot be translated properly we cannot do that.
Is it possible to create a custom category page using the tagdiv composer? Or could we install visual builder and use that to edit the category in the edit category section?
We really need to translate the categories with or without using the cloud library?
Could you please suggest a work around so that I may just edit the category template for the translation, even if that has to be coded manually?

I’d like to have a newsletter signup at the bottom of my individual article pages. I installed the tagdiv newsletter plugin. however, this seems limited to the visual composer. Is there a way to use visual composer to apply the resulting page to all post pages?
Otherwise, is there a way to include the signup on post pages?

The compose section where I create articles has completely changed overnight.
It looks all blown up and I cannot function on this new change. I cannot find the HTML and other buttons I normally use.
I need a way to change it back…otherwise I have to switch themes.

That is quite an an old theme version from which you are updating. Here you can find a changelog for each theme update, to see what has been modified, new features etc

That error you mention is in most cases related to insufficient memory

The theme requirements guide has been updated as well, please check it carefully and if necessary ask your hosting provider to increase the values of the parameters mentioned in it

For the WP memory we recommend a value of 256M.
After the update, deactivate/delete all the old theme plugins and install the new ones from the theme package plugins folder.
As a side note, the tagDiv composer will be automatically installed and activated after you update the theme. This composer could interfere with specific WPBakery elements or layouts. If that is the case, please disable it.
Also update WPBakery to the latest version if you use it (theme package contains version 5.6)

I finally wanted to update my version: 7.6.1 of the theme as you recommended. I first updated the WordPress version and then I followed the instructions and tried both approaches: via backend and via ftp. In both cases it did not work out. Error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1048576 bytes) in /home/.sites/564/site1126821/web/wp-includes/class.wp-dependencies.php on line 209
I checked my server settings – there should be no problem there. I bought your theme a second time and used a later version. There I had no problems updating it.
I had to manually remove the theme on the server and then go back to a backup. I also got several alerts during the process about problems with the mobile theme. My guess is that it is the theme making troubles. Can you recommend how I may proceed.
Visual Composer
Another big problem is that the Visual Composer is not working anymore – it’s simply not on my sites since I updated to the latest Word Press Version. Any idea how I could fix that? Just deleting the Plugin and installing it manually from the latest version of the theme?

I probably will make you sigh with this question but i give it a try anyway.
Since the introduction of the TagDiv Composer i’ve been wondering what to do. Previous questions did not give me useful answers. I’m very insecure about what to do.
I will try to specify my questions and i hope someone can help me out…
1. In the online tutorial about switching from WPbakary to TagDiv Composer it says:
“Step 2 – The page has to be recreated using the new page builder. You will have to build a new page and edit it with the tagDiv Composer replicating your original page (made with Visual Composer).”
There is no way that i’m going to rebuild all the pages on my website. If that is really nescessary i have to switch to another template soon.
a. What will happen when i do nothing?
b. How long will you keep updating and supporting WPBakery?
2. What will happen to my site if i de-activate WPBakery or when the plugin stops working (for any reason)? Thus: without replacing it by TagDiv Composer.
3. Can i keep WPBakery working on my existing pages and create new pages with TagDiv composer? In that case i will have to activate both plugins. Will that cause problems?
4. Not really a question, but when you like you are welcome to explain why i should use the new composer? What’s in it for me?

From what I can tell the posts have been built with Visual composer, we strongly don’t recommend this, but have taken steps to try and fix layout issues that could appear.
1. In the case where the content is narrower maybe you have designed the content with a sidebar in Visual composer (split row)

You would have to edit the post and make the row full (no sidebar). There is no need for a sidebar in the post content.
2. In the other case where the content is larger, I could give you a CSS for it

Hi there, I’m pretty new to Newspaper so this might be an obvious question.
We’re using the Newspaper theme (love it) and have articles which we’re publishing as posts. I really like the TAGDIV COMPOSER for rendering nicely laid out pages that use the post feed for their content. However, we’re also using Geodirectory to create a directory of different listing types and, along with this charging people to be in the directory. I want to build some static content pages (like About, Pricing, etc) and would usually use Visual Composer to do this. Is that possible, or would having both page builders live cause issues (from reading this forum and the help guide it would appear so). If that is the case, is there a tutorial on using TAGDIV COMPOSER to create content pages, where the content is defined by the user as opposed to it being a feed of the posts?

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option for this, sorry! You can try to use that element from Visual Composer but please notice that we do not recommend to have both page builder to be active at the same time because might appears some issues. You can check this way and see the results.

Remember to make a full backup before updating, just to be safe. The most reliable and popular method to update is by FTP, you can use the one you want however.
Note that after you update the tagDiv composer plugin will be automatically installed and activated, so if the website is built with Visual composer there could be some layout issues. In that case please deactivate the tagDiv composer.

That is correct, the tagDiv composer isn’t a replica of Visual composer. There are elements that only Visual composer has, but also there are elements that only the tagDiv composer has. As a side note the cloud library plugin only works with the tagDiv composer.
Elements specific to Visual composer, like the accordion you mention, will not work with the tagDiv composer. So if it is required to use them, use Visual composer and deactivate the tagDiv composer. Both page builders will be provided in the theme package.
We will try to add more elements in our composer in the future. Sorry for any inconvenience.

1. I would like to translate, using WPML, the text from this section:
Dashboard >> Newspaper >> Theme panel >> Footer >> Footer info content >> Footer Text. In the td_footer_extra.php file I’ve found this code (on line 64):
$buffy .= stripcslashes($td_footer_text);
I think I could add a method like _e() to make it tranlatable but I’m not sure and I can’t afford to make any mistakes because it’s a very big website (more than a few thousands posts).
I’ve also tried this: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-to-translate-my-footer-content/, but the website main language isn’t english so I wasn’t able to translate it to english.
2. How can I use the same widget ( here is: [tagDiv] Block 7 ) with different text for different languages? In Appearance >> Widgets >> [tagDiv] Block 7 >> Display on language, but when I hit save, it automatically switch the option back to All languages so the result is the same as before
3. Is it possible to translate News Ticker and Big Grid Slide from VisualComposer?
On front page I have a News Ticker with a Big Grid Slide, but on the translated version of the page it doesn’t show anymore.
