Hello mjaffer,

Please try to use the same advice that I presented above. All the Big Grid settings you find in Visual Composer Big Grid settings -> http://screencast.com/t/v6fluw5Y9Ln I did not understand very well what you mean exactly. Please provide more details about your problem so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hello Edward,

I have checked your website and the layout seems to be broken for some reason. Please try it without plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer and check again. Not all plugins are compatible with our theme unfortunately.
As fort the layout, you can find all page templates in visual composer:
http://screencast.com/t/AdPO5vZuxjT then select your preferred template from the dropdown.
You can also follow this tutorial to see how you can customize your homepage in visual composer:

https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
This is our official demo page. You can check to see how the theme should look on your end: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ you can see different features of the theme from the menus there.

Thank you!

Hello servedaily,

Post Grid is a built in Visual Composer element. I have tested on my side with Posts as data source and will display all the latest posts in your page and if you chose page as data source, this element will interpret only the text of the pages…so If you have a page with some blocks, this feature will not display this into one page…will display only text…practically it is not possible to display shortcode in shortcode…I have tested this behaviour into the default theme and returns the same results -> http://screencast.com/t/r9Lzl0Z7Hjyn Please notice that our theme does not interfere with the code the functionality of Visual Composer elements.
If is not what you referring to, please provide more details about this because your above screenshot does not work.

Hello vskaarthi,

I have checked your website and saw your problem with the featured image. I suspect to be a problem might be caused by conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflict between plugins. Please check if your problem is still there after this advice.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello T2N,

Unfortunately, your plugin is not tested with our theme and we cannot ensure that this plugin will work properly and we cannot provide support for untested plugins, sorry. As you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/CxWyxf2h we have a list of tested plugins and these working well with our theme. This Masonry Media Grid feature is a complex element of Visual Composer and has a lot of option in his panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/BqjDWCVn -> http://screencast.com/t/Uxyb6UWs4B Please try to enjoy with these options and maybe you can fix the problem.
My advice is to try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. This kind of feature works fine with our Theme but without any plugins that might cause a lot of conflicts with our theme.
For more information about how to use this feature, please check this link on YouTube -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bhdjm69yAU -> it should be more useful for you.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello,
Since that video, the visual composer plugin was updated so the templates can now be found here: http://screencast.com/t/xPru0ZaUg89d This will open a list of templates you want to use.
If you do not have these option or if elements from the plugin are missing, please make sure you have all elements selected in the plugin settings-> role manager: http://screencast.com/t/YewQBqRao
Thank you!

Hello,
Unfortunately as these plugins are not tested (officially), we cannot make a statement on what to do because we have no idea of their functionality. Q-translate x seamed to be the closest we could find to a working plugin but we cannot say for sure if it will work 100% as we did not run any rigorous testing. you can try to troubleshoot it and disable all plugins except visual composer and q-translate to rule out any plugin conflicts. If you still cannot manage to get it working, then you will probably have to look for another translation plugin that works with our theme. Sorry for not having a precise answer. Maybe one of our users who have some experience with this plugin and our theme can help you out.
Thank you!

Hello Jan,
The problem with your product page is that it’s no longer a product page. The classes are totally different. Here is a regular product page: Woocommerce recognizes it as a product page: http://screencast.com/t/4rOJJexh
And here is your page: http://screencast.com/t/x3f5idUp9Z54 Your product is no longer a product post type. You cannot have the woocommerce layout if your product page is no longer the standard product type.
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and woocommerce and check your page again. I suspect a plugin caused this.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

We have a huge number of posts use the older deprecated CTA buttons from the older version of WP Baker Visual Composer(js_composer) under Newspaper 4. We’ve now upgraded to v6.6.4 + 4.9 of js_composer. Is there any way to script or mass migrate the old content and buttons into new ones? Having to change this to 100’s of posts would be a nightmare.

I am a bit confused though –

Built into the Visual Composer is the tool Post Grid –

It says you can pick from Posts or Pages –

I selected posts and was able to create this:

http://servedaily.com/marketplace/business-services/?preview_id=1095&preview_nonce=e1f8a0f904&preview=true

However, if I select Page -I thought the same thing would work.

Is there something that between the Visual Composer coding and Newspaper 6 coding that disables the pages option from working?

Darn – ours was working after running the steps and now it is back to 0.

We are also having issue with it on our homepage. We are using from visual composer, we add the social media counter then entered app id and secret, then tried to use the authorize feature but we get taken to an error page on Facebook. I’ll send an email.

Hi There,

We are having a bit of a problem with having a masonry template on our development site.
We have a plugin called WP Media Folder. https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-demo/wp-media-folder-gallery-feature

We also use that in our current live site.

On our live site we are using its masonry feature just like this – http://screencast.com/t/WCvQ8lEEr5b
But on the development site where in we are using Newspaper, it looks like this – http://screencast.com/t/GwhXqVq87

I’m wondering if the plugin is compatible with your template?
Because it works fine on our current live site.

I was hoping you can help us with our problem.

Also I tried the masonry feature of visual composer, it also looks like this http://screencast.com/t/GwhXqVq87

Thanks!

Hello,
Our newspaper shop page from thew demo is custom made. You can create a page in visual composer and add elements to it: http://screencast.com/t/Z6zLbSCHJvR
You can use other visual composer elements if you wish like tabs for example.
(We cannot create the page for you. We can offer tips on how it can be done.)
If you need help customizing your homepage you will need to get some hired help as we cannot offer any customization services at the moment.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hello,

You can use the author box shortcode from visual composer: and only insert it in the posts you want it to display in text mode: [td_block_authors]
If this is not what you mean, and you want to remove the author name and only show it on certain posts, then the theme has no option for it. You will have to find a plugin that has this functionality I’m afraid.

Thank you!

Hello,

I’m not sure how we are ‘boobytrapping’ our code. Our theme was built in conformation with every standard and I can assure you the theme has no such issues. You can check our official demo to see how the theme should behave: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
If issues appear on your side it does not mean it does so for everybody. If there is a problem in the theme, then everyone will experience this issue. As we have no reports of this at this moment we can safely assume it’s not the theme itself that causes this. There are compatibility issues between our theme and other plugins though. That is a different matter. The theme in it’s default state works without issues as it has been tested time and time again. When using our theme with different plugins then things could go wrong as this is the case with all premium themes. It is impossible to create a theme that is compatible with every plugin out there.
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear your cache. Then check the issue again. If the problem is no longer there, it means that one of the plugins is causing a conflict. Sometimes plugins create conflicts between them as well.

Thank you!

Hi

This happens because on the indicated pages the Visual Composer rows are full width: http://screencast.com/t/gOiOB6lys Please make sure that the the stretch row setting is set to default in Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/CQQE7jxuff9M clear all caches and test again.
To remove the spaces between the rows add this css in theme panel > custom code> custom css: http://screencast.com/t/epyvm6XATbh

.vc_row {
border-bottom: 0!important;
border-top-width: 0px !important;
}

Thanks!

Hello BhawaniGarg,

Please notice that the infinite loading pagination works only for blocks as I explained you above. You have to add on your page only a block and set it the pagination to be infinite loading like this -> http://screencast.com/t/YmgtaVFTmn If you switch your blog to a static page and if you use a template pagebuilder+latest articles+pagination, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/0nyt1kbJ the pagination of the latest article is a normal pagination (1,2,3…) because our theme does not have option to infinite loading pagination for this template implemented.
For more information about how to create a homepage, please check our video tutorial, here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss-BEobegAw and this https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Hope this helps!

Hello joventu,

I have tested on my side and seems to works as expected. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer and WP User Avatar, clear all your caches and test it again and see how it works. Maybe you have the automatic updates for your plugins and now it could be an interference between WP User Avatar and these plugins with WP ultimate update. Please try my advice and if your problem is still there after this advice please let me know.

Thank you for the message!

Hello,
I meant by text mode that you have to access classic mode in order to enable the standard editor and then enter text mode so you can see the page shortcodes: http://screencast.com/t/vH0HvduxRehN
Visual composer can create issues if you are adding a row inside another row. If it’s the standard tab element from visual composer you are having trouble with, please use this shortcode and add it in text mode in a blank page (like the screenshot above):
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_tabs][vc_tta_section title="Tab 1" tab_id="1452692807969-ce686049-8e27"][td_block_15][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title="Tab 2" tab_id="1452692807981-b8b08b23-8dd9"][td_block_5][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][/vc_column][/vc_row]
If this tab also create issues let us know so we can investigate further. If it does not, then please try to recreate your tab and the content within it.
Thank you!

Hello Mecburlar,

I suppose that you are referring to Related articles tabs. Unfortunately, there is not a simple task to add a new tab with other functionality. Please check this screenshot and here you can see which is generate the code
http://screencast.com/t/so4ptBeeuc You should follow the same steps to achieve another tab but this is required some other customization. If you are not aware the steps which you will follow in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to implement this functionality for you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
If you want to add Tabs with Visual Composer, you can set it from Tabs Settings, like this-> http://screencast.com/t/eCFwqblL2nsl -> http://screencast.com/t/0tb524m4bs

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hi

I’ve test the current theme version available on themeforest with the bbpress plugin and works fine. We didn’t tested the plugins that you indicated with the theme so there is a chance to appear some conflicts with theirs usage. To display Visual Composer elements in footer you ca use do_shortcode function like here:
– edit the file corresponding with the footer template used and add this code where do you want to disply the visual composer elements: http://screencast.com/t/8KlxxnmFF4
– to get the shortcode create a blank page, add on it your block then switch in backend editor, copy the code and paste it inside do_shortcode function: http://screencast.com/t/1kwkgW7ZkgGBhttp://screencast.com/t/vIJbntv0P
Also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and bbpres, clear all caches and test again.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hello,
This problem can occur from a number of things. First of all please try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear cache to rule out a plugin conflict. If the problem is still there then it is the way the tabs are being created. Please try it on a blank page and just add the tab. WordPress is very sensitive to open tags in text mode. Edit your post/page in text mode and make sure you use the tabs outside other open html tags.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hi

You can deactivate the post tile by commenting the indicated line from the loop file corresponding with the post template used: http://screencast.com/t/spX9EA6KfTtX Also the featured image can be deactivated from post content, from theme panel > post settings > featured image: http://screencast.com/t/5Q4OumpwHb0
Regarding the H! tag this will still be recognized even if it’s added between an element from Visual Composer.
I am not very sure how did you build your post so please provide more details about this or also you can provide the post content from text mode: http://screencast.com/t/XEUmvzlB via http://pastebin.com/ so I can duplicate the situation on my side and get back to you with a more specific answer.

Thanks!

Hi,
If you do not use a CDN server, then please deactivate all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache. This should rule out a plugin conflict.
Thank you!
