When I change block header style of site, it is correctly applied to any widget provided by theme, but not on default wordpress ones like Latest comments or Site information. Its problem only with widgets composed to sidebar in Visual Editor, not affecting default WordPress widgets section – they show correctly.

Problem is that when I use WordPress widgets in Visual Editor, header is H2 a with different class. When I use theme widgets in VE, they have headers with H4 and correct class.
Hello,
This is most likely a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!

Hello, I have been using Shim plugin instead of Visual Composer due to the stress it causes on the server on NewsMag. I have been interested in switching my theme over to Newspaper and wanted to see if the Shim plugin actually works with Newspaper 7…I think I read that the new BETA plugin they stopped working on due to errors, so I don’t think that’s an option.
Hi,
I am very sorry, we don’t know what happened and you did not get an answer. We answer to all the questions as soon as possible, I really cannot say how your message got overlooked. Sorry for any inconvenience.
What you have created in the respective page seems quite complicated, and also you have used elements that are not available in Visual composer by default. I don’t understand exactly how you would like it to look on desktop and mobile. I see that you also have some custom code on the elements – https://www.screencast.com/t/7Dl4dWbN8bK and there is an empty element present as well from what I can tell
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qTuHxsLys
Maybe you should try to recreate this page and keep it as simple as possible, and not over complicate things, that would be best. Please let me know how I can assist you further.
Thank you for understanding!

I have used visual composer to set up page. But today, when I come back to edit some items, I can not find the visual composer I have done, the visual composer for that page is totally blank. So I don’t know how to adjust.
Hello,
The options may seem to be bad but unfortunately this step must be taken. I suggest a different approach though. Do not disable them one by one but rather disable all of the plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme. Then test the site without plugins or modifications and see if the problem goes away. Once you see the problem is gone, enable them one by one testing the site after each plugin you enable in order to identify the one that causes the issue.
Thank you!

Hi,
I’m trying to replicate the home page used on the Travel Demo:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/
But whatever I do, I can’t figure out how to do it using Visual Composer. Seems like there is some custom/hidden CSS somewhere, but I can’t find it.
Any tips?
Hi,
It seems you have a lot of errors on the website – https://www.screencast.com/t/qrNkzXLm
I suggest you disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed, then check to see if the thumbnails are displaying properly. In almost all the cases some problematic plugins are causing issues.
Also it is recommended to use this caching plugin with the mentioned configuration
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thanks
Hi,
It seems that the website does not display properly at the moment
– https://www.screencast.com/t/sc1wQnylE
Also you do not seem to have the theme active anymore on your website. If you are having problems using the theme the first step would be to disable all the plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and check to see if the problem is still there. In most cases some problematic plugins or modifications to the theme files are causing issues. Also check any custom code from theme panel or from a child theme used.
It is recommended to use this caching plugin with the mentioned configuration for the best results – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Other caching plugins could also cause unexpected results.
You could try a fresh theme install and see if that fixes things, as a last resort

Hi,
The theme will create the thumb sizes needed for the modules from the featured image. It will crop the images like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
There is no ideal image size to use as featured image regarding the aspect ratio, it all depends on the modules used. Each module has it’s own thumbnail size
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
This is better explained here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-vs-featured-image-size/
Maybe you can find a module that can be used to better display the images you want, or use a different element from Visual composer for pages.
Thanks
Hello BrokenAmerica,
I have inspected your website now, and it seems to work as expected on mobile devices. I guess that you have used the mobile theme and that’s why your Visual Composer shortcode have not been rendered. For more information about our mobile theme concept, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-not-showing-up-properly/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello fernando,
I have inspected your website and I saw that your sidebar is overlapping with your content. This type of issue might happen due to your bad theme installing and also, due to your untested plugins used by you. I have checked your console and I saw that you have a lot of errors, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ZDc3Retq I suggest you disable all of your untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. For more information about theme installing, FTP way, please consult our useful documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Thanks for your understanding!
Site might have been hacked due to bad plugin, server cross site scripting, old version of WordPress (all versions prior to this week’s version are security risk!).
Likely best to
a) scan site with SECURI free scan
b) change ALL passwords NOW
c) reinstall theme and WordPress files completely
d) delete all old un-used plugins, themes
e) disable all plugins except visual composer (make sure VC updated to current version)
f) disable core file editing and XML-RPC via tutorials online for your htaccess file and wp-config.php file.
I know 2 friends whose sites got infected with adult popups due to not keeping updated with various things found to be flawed in WordPress.
Only you can fix your site!
Hi,
The theme is based on a three column layout. You can choose from these options in Visual composer when creating a page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/sC8Ctx9kP9
– https://www.screencast.com/t/OYcEseFhZ
The two columns row layout – https://www.screencast.com/t/KE4XhCH6q may not work properly if you would like to use that. You will have to find a way to display your posts by placing the blocks using the mentioned column layouts. Blocks can look different based on the columns settings, that can be seen by following the link provided above to the live demo, where every block is displayed.
The modules do not have options that would allow to display additional information besides the default one (category tag, author name, date etc)
The module files can be edited directly or through a child theme if you would like to customize them. The module files can be found here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rjpKhWCIuBt
Please correct me if I misunderstand something.
Thanks

Hello wilfredo,
If you want to use these buttons, your Visual Composer should have to be enabled. Otherwise, these shortcodes will not be recognized.
Thanks for your understanding!
I don’t know why, but when I write a post and then I visit my website I can’t see the new post until I refresh the site. I need to force the refresh. But it is a problem because I know there is a new post, but people don’t. So when they visit me they see the same content.
It’s like the browser (firefox/chrome) doesn’t update correctly. How I can fix this problem?

Hello how can I solve, I have disabled the visual composer for inputs, when I want to use the button styles in inputs does not work just shows text.
[button color=”danger” size=”large” type=”round” target=”_blank” link=”#”]Nuevo [/button]
Hi,
It is strongly recommended that you use only the three blue highlighted columns in Visual composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
This ensures the best results for the pages. You could try the other layout columns options but that could not provide the best results. Please try and create you page design based on these recommendations. Here you can see how all the blocks look in all the layout settings – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
Thanks
Hi,
Please try to ignore the activation message, there is no need to activate the Visual composer that is provided in the theme package. You just have to enable the plugin and use it, no activation needed. Updates for the Visual composer editor will be provided along with the theme updates.
Thanks
Hello,
If you are looking for page speed improvement please note that page speed is a very personal issue. It starts from the host that you use, to the optimization made and all the way down to the content on your site.
Please use this guide to improve page speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and please check this link for a note on speedbooster: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Using speedbooster is described in the page speed guide.
The links above are not found anywhere in the code as they are. I have pointed the call to the fonts above. The second and third links are the visual composer css and the main theme css file. You should read the speedbooster instructions on how to move render blocking css to the footer. But this does not influence page speed greatly. The images are the ones slowing down your site. Almost 80% of the page speed improvement will come from image optimization and of course a decent host.
Thank you!
@simion you were right. This works.
No re-upload. Delete the folder wp-content/themes/Newspaper, and then upload again.
Seems a conflict between versions. Anyway, it’s a pretty heavy solution.
¿Are this a better solution?
1. Download Newspaper from ThemeForest to your PC.
2. Unzip.
3. Open “Newspaper-tf” and unzip “Newspaper.zip”.
4. Rename the folder “Newspaper” to “Newspaper2”.
5. Upload “Newspaper2” by FTP to wp-content/themes/
6. Go to Themes in WordPress Admin Panel and activate the second Newspaper.
7. (IMPORTANT) Delete wp-content/themes/newspaper by FTP, not by WordPress Admin Panel.
Following this method, the configuration of Newspaper written in the database is not eliminated, and it avoids problems to the users in real time. They should not notice any visual changes.
