Try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches and also check the if the css from custom css affect search bar style. Inspecting your site I’ve noticed that you have lot os css in theme panel ant this may affect some of theme’s elements.

All post/pages are added to the database by wordpress not by Newspaper theme. Our theme controls only content’s layout, not the way it’s added to the database or the tables in which is written. You will have to check wp-functionality in this regard and here you may fns some useful information in this regard: https://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/wpdb

Make sure that you’re using V 4.11.2 of Visual Composer which is tested and works fine with V 4.5.2 of wordpress. Here you can check our update documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ After WordPress release V 4.5, Visual Composer V 4.9 or older won’t work properly because of a conflict.

At the moment mobile theme have a fixed layout for category page which display first three posts with a module and next ones with a different module. This implementation can be changed only from code at the moment. The design from desktop category page which includes grids or category styles is not available when the mobile theme is enabled.

The theme don’t control how google deliver ads, it controls only their’s position. Also I’ve checked your site and noticed that the ads below post title are not displayed by theme’s article top ad. They seems to be inserted directly in post content. Try to insert the ad-code in theme panel > ads > article top ad, clear all caches then test again.

Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test again. Also turn off minimization for css/js as they are not tested and may affect the theme functionality.

The page layout won’t be changed after theme’s update as the settings are stored in database. However if you made any changes in theme’s core files these will be lost so you have to re-add them again.
