Hello,
You can use your first code to remove meta info from all the modules and simply use a reverse code like so:
Block 13 uses td_module_14
So create another code and add it below your first one (use both codes):
.td-module-meta-info { display: none !important;}
.td_module_14 .td-module-meta-info { display: block!important;}
This is the css method. Another method to remove the meta information is by disabling it from the theme panel from post options, but it will also remove the author name and date from postss.
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
-First of all you need to check if your facebook/twitter/Instagram account is public. If not the theme will not be able to pick up the information.
-Another thing you can do is check your ID if it’s set properly. You do not need to type in the URL just the id. -You can try with a different ID to check the counter, something like ‘cocacola’ and see if the info gets picked up. Then revert to your own account.
-If it still doesn’t work, try to disable all your plugins(except the social counter and visual composer) to rule out any plugin conflicts.
You can finde more info on the plugin here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello,
If you want to place your sharing icons inside the content you will have to modify a different file. The content is created here: http://screencast.com/t/yQxaN78B. A you stated above, you will have to tie your code to the function (function get_content() {}) in order to get it working. You will see comments in the file so you know which part of the page is being generated by the code.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello Gordon,
Newspaper 6 is a whole new theme so an update from 4 to 6 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).
Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom css will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them.
Bottom line is that newspaper 6 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Unfortunately you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Hope this helps!
Thank you!
Hello,
We have not tested these plugins so we cannot make an official recommendation, but our users seem to use this plugin successfully: https://wordpress.org/plugins/merge-minify-refresh/ Try it out and see how it goes!
Thank you
Hello,
You can create your own static page or you can edit the tech demo one to your preference. Our demo page was built in visual composer. You can have this page on your end if you want bu adding the demo content when activating the tech demo from the panel: http://screencast.com/t/eGLvilYc8u
If this is not what you mean, please provide more details so i can better understand your request.
Thank you!
Hello,
The visual composer latest version will be available in the next theme update. Until then please use the version that is bundled with the them.
I have checked your website and saw the masonry grid error. Something seems to interfere with the theme’s JS: http://screencast.com/t/y3qzjEzv. Please undo any minification you have on your website as it is known to cause problems.
If the problem is still there please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login information so we can take a closer look at the problem. Please also include a link to this topic so we know who you are.
Thank you!
Hello,
Using Speedbooster, the theme switches to the theme_min_js version. So any change in the primary JS file will be ignored. You will have to make the change in the min js version. This is a bit different because the delay time here is not 3000 but rather ‘3e3’. (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19335472/3e3-3000-javascript-query)
You can find this value here: http://screencast.com/t/ojT6GQ6i You have to change these values (4 of them in total) to ‘6e3’ if you want to have a 6 seconds delay to your trending now element.
Thanks.
Hello,
Please create a post and do not share it so we can see the error for ourselves. Provide us with a link to this new post so we can share it ourselves.
Thank you!
Hello Ben,
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can inspect the issue. Please also provide a link to this topic so we know who you are.
Thank you!
Hello,
I have checked your website on all 5 browsers and the font family for your header menu is open sans: http://screencast.com/t/LteP4TOx4. I could not see the placeholder you mentioned on neither of the 5 browsers (chrome, IE, Edge, Firefox and Opera)
The theme uses 2 default google fonts: open sans and roboto. If you want to remove roboto and only use open sans, you can remove it from here: http: //screencast.com/t/B1ZcrMoUpBw5
Thank you!
Hello,
Normally the message should not appear with the visual composer version that comes with the theme. The message you see may be due to the fact that you had the full license of V.C. prior to this version. You can either ignore the message or try to contact the plugin developer to explain the situation and see how the message can be removed.
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Hello Rhonda,
You can edit the post sidebar you select in your post: http://screencast.com/t/eizcHda0C1pO and you can edit the sidebar from the wordpress widget area by adding elements to it (or removing them): http://screencast.com/t/mEzEeeb8pH
You can read more about sidebars here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
I hope this helps
Thank you!
Hello,
In a future update it is possible but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. Until we can do it, you can use this plugin: http://screencast.com/t/WAwCVlAnM5L. I ran a few tests with it and it seems to work fine. Just one thing. If you use it, make sure to set the background color from the theme panel to transparent or the video will not show up as it will be covered by the white background color: http://screencast.com/t/ojPahlaSw
Thank you!
Hello,
You can update your theme to the latest version 6.5.1 so it can support the latest version of visual composer, and you can also update the plugin : https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Please make sure you only install the visual composer version that is bundled with the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
I’m not sure what you mean. In the site you specified below the menu there is a news ticker element. You can add this in visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/aAoGAEGcG
And below the news ticker there is a big grid element. They are also found in visual composer. you can check big grids here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
If this is not what you mean, please provide more details se i can understand your request better.
Thank you!
Replied via email.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately you cannot use a video as background, but you can use animated gif’s. You can use editing software to convert a piece of video to a looping gif and then set it as background.
Thank you!
Hi,
I ran a few more tests on block 15 and it seems you can activate reviews on it if you edit the theme core files like so: http://screencast.com/t/oVoGHmIF4bdG
get_author();?>
get_date();?>
get_comments();?>
(Make sure you add the div’s as well. the forum deletes them)
result: http://screencast.com/t/RzcpKiYg5o
Try it out with your plugin and see if it will show up!
Thank you!
Hello,
I tested this at my end and it changes from 3 seconds to 6 seconds. Try to input a bigger value to see if the ticker gets affected at all. Try something like 30 to make it real fast or 30000 to make it really slow and see if anything changes at all. If not, try to clear your cache or try it without plugins at all (except visual composer).
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello,
The editor is styled using the .less files, mainly the editor-style.less. You can modify the styling from here: http://screencast.com/t/0C7bZt9HlE7
Thank you!
Hello,
The “menu” you are referring to is the ajax filter. It can filter categories, authors or tags http://screencast.com/t/evnbWW2r6K. You can read about it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/. In order to edit the categories shown in the filter you can use category id’s you can pick-up here: http://screencast.com/t/wCwhy0q9w0x and then use it in the filter to only display the categories with the id’s you input: http://screencast.com/t/QvD477P8
As for the tags or authors you can input the tag names or author names separated by comma.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can hide latest article by selecting a different page template: http://screencast.com/t/gf9ofIrFRfeX
The latest articles module is only present in one of three page templates. It is not a standard block you can see in the back-end or edit.
I hope this helps
Thanks.
Hello,
You can try the steps above as well. First of all exclude plugin conflicts by disabling all your plugins except visual composer and disable lazy load animation as well as Andrei suggested.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,
You can try one more thing. Disable all of your plugins except visual composer and upload a new post to see if the delay is still there. If it is, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login information so we can take a look at this problem. Please also include a link to this topic so we know who you are and what the problem is.
Thank you!
