Notice that our theme uses a lot of Headers Style and you can choose one of them from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-header-styles/ We do not recommend to edit the logo or header style because you can easily break the theme layout.
If you want to remove that border-top from your header menu you should use a bit of CSS code for that. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS Area.

Please notice that your sidebar is too long and for that row and that why you bring that white space. Into your 2/3 column, you have a simple iOS slider and that’s and your sidebar which is on 1/3 column contain more elements. You should remove these elements from your sidebar or you should add some elements below to your slider to fill the free space.
