In that case, you should not make an overwrite to your old files sorry! You need to completely remove your old folder and add it the new one. You need to make a clean install from scratch to achieve good theme results. Please check the B section from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and strictly follow the steps from there if you want to achieve better theme results.

Provide your website URL and some useful screenshots with your problem so I will be able to provide a more accurate response. Remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.

In that case, please notice that your images do not have the right size and that’s why you bring these results. The thumbnail size has 324*235px. You can try to change and load another image, regenerate them using the Thumbnails Regenerate or Force Regenerate, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if you are using some plugins to optimize your images, please remove all of these and leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results.

Unfortunately, the empty page template has been removed but you can remove the header per page, using the header manager. An option will be added for the footer. If you require it, you can download it from here – http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/page-empty.zip

Place it in the main theme folder, upload it by FTP for example
– http://prntscr.com/mo17zp

Then select it for the pages you want. The footer will be removed and the header can be disabled

When you’ll be updating to the Newspaper 9.7.1 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newspaper theme functionality you’ve previously used. I guess that your images get stuck to opacity 0. This error happens due to your untested plugins used by you. Please disable all of your untested plugins (Jetpack), clear all the caches and check the results.
