Please notice that this type of option has been designed to hide the category only from the front end. The Google boot will treat all the theme code and will be interpreted, sorry! Please notice that you can manage the social icons from Theme Panel->Social Networks area, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/fdkw2deF2 There you will find the entire list of the Social Networks. I have tried to access your website but I saw that it is in maintenance mode.
So, if you want to remove the theme logo when the menu is sticky, you should use a bit of CSS code to do that. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The Visual Composer is fully tested with the theme and seems to work as properly until now, without any issues. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.5) and also, the latest version of required plugins which come bundled with theme packet. The MagicNumbers plugin is not tested with the theme and we have no idea about the theme behaviour with this type of plugin and also, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not with the theme, sorry! My recommendation is to disable all the untested plugins and install only ones which come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Before each update, we recommend doing a full backup to your data because in this case, you will avoid losing all your data. Please keep in mind that the updating from 4 to 7. If you are custom modification through the code and you are not using the child theme, please keep in mind that all of them will be overwritten by the new update. That separator is used by the theme in the backend when you edit your post to know when the post content will fit when the sidebar is active. Unfortunately, this type of plugin is not tested with our theme and please notice that we have no idea about the theme behaviour with this type of plugin, sorry! Being an untested plugin, we cannot provide support for this. It may interact with the theme code and cause a lot of unknown issues which can damage the theme, sorry!
Please keep in mind that our theme does not have any tested plugins for translation, sorry! I do not know what type of plugins you use for translate your website but please notice that we cannot provide support in this regard, sorry! We have made some tests using the qTranslate X and seems to work fine with the theme but we cannot say 100% because this is not a fully tested plugin with the theme.
