I suppose that you have some trouble with theme saving. Please notice that this is an older issue which the latest version of WordPress (4.5.2) caused to Wordfence plugin.
First of all, please try to increase your parameters from your system status to be higher, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please check this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-settings/ because there was discussed this problem about Wordfence plugin. If you have the Wordfence plugin, please disable it or set it according to workaround that was explained in that topic by Bryson T.

If you have installed the baby blog, you will have to make a new page and customize it by your desire using these elements. So, please notice that this error appears because the theme calls a function from woo commerce which was removed from Newspaper 6. Please try to do a backup only via FTP because this is the surest method for updating (you will have to remove the oldest version and try to install the new version), clear all your cache and please ensure that your theme has right updated to latest version. The theme was tested to works as properly with any type of feature and also, to take good results in loading page. For example, this type of feature (smart sidebar) cannot be compared with 4 Big Grid for your page (regarding on page speed) because Big Grids consume more resources than Smart Sidebar.

Please notice that the theme still uses the Visual Composer-style for the mobile theme because this is required. Even though the mobile theme cannot be customized using the Visual Composer, it uses the elements from this when displaying the Big Grid from the top of the page and the Latest Articles module from the bottom of the page and these cannot be got rid.
