Nor is the LiteSpeed cache plugin a good cache plugin providing so many options (this makes it a bit hard to use), but to have the best performance with this plugin, you need to have the server from LiteSpeed, so this can provide the best results.

For images, you can use a plugin to optimize them https://wordpress.org/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/

For the filter, unfortunately, it can be used only for those that are currently provided. In your case, you should have “Single – Related by category”, which will provide articles from the same category as the current one. Unfortunately, there are no options to edit the way teh filter is working.

Maybe the Google has not approved the site yet. Even if AdSense allows you to generate code, ads won’t show until the site is fully approved.
You can check this inside AdSense – Sites: Symptoms: Blank ad space, or nothing appears at all.

Regarding the problem: in most cases, an AJAX error can occur while installing the theme plugins. When this happens, the website may display shortcodes while you are logged in.

To fix this, please go to Newspaper > Plugins and install the required theme plugins. In about 90% of cases, this resolves the issue you mentioned after updating the theme.

What I can suggest is first to make a full backup for your website and database and after that to update the theme (also, you can try first on staging or sub-domain).
The theme should be updated via FTP, by replacing the old theme with the new one (replace not overwrite), in case that there are custom changes in the theme files, those will be lost. Also, the child theme should be disabled and the main theme should be used. The child theme should be replaced with the version found in the last package from the ThemeForest and the code form it should be updated to the new files structure.
After the theme is installed, please install the theme plugins: tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Standard Pack and the rest of the theme plugins that you had before the theme update (social counter, newsletter).

I think that you are referring to the files under the wp-content/themes/Newspaper(or Newsmag)/includes/wp-booster those are tagdiv-config.php , tagdiv-page-generator.php and tagdiv-panel-docs.php
Now, in case that no changes have been made in the theme files, you can simply overwrite the theme files with the theme files from the theme forest account.

Please disable all additional plugins related to videos (such as Elite Video, Flying Pages, etc.) and keep the number of active plugins as low as possible. After that, make sure to clear all caches and check if the loading performance improves.

We can also take a closer look, but for that, we’ll need access to a staging environment where we can safely disable plugins and test if the issue is caused by the theme or by extra plugins.

Another thing to consider is that videos usually have at least a few MB in size. It’s generally better to display an image instead of loading the video directly. The video can then start loading only after the user clicks on the image. This approach helps reduce the total page size from around 8–20 MB to just 3–4 MB.
