Hi,

Sorry for the delay, there are many topics currently, and also taking into account the previous days off. We try to reply as soon as possible.

From what I can see there are indeed different, edit screen vs result. What page builder were the pages built with? Also if possible post some links to a page where this happens so I can inspect it.

If they are built entirely with the tagDiv composer and they contain only elements that are provided in it, then they should display properly at all times. If on the other hand they were built with WPBakery and then edited with our composer, there could be problems.

You can also send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and allow us admin access, provide links to these pages so we can investigate. Let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

There is a problem currently with that header style, we will fix it in the next theme update. If you want to use it, there is a fix I can provide you. It will require that you make a modification to that header style.

The file is in the tagDiv composer plugin here – http://prntscr.com/njtggo
Add this code instead of the default code found there ads.php

After the modification it should be like this – http://prntscr.com/njth37 and it should work properly when selected.

Sorry for this inconvenience, please let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

Block 22 is a predefined block, it will always look the same
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-22/
When on two columns there will be only one module.

You could check some block designs made by us based on flex blocks, maybe you find something you like or similar to block 22
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks
For example this one – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/page/Blocks/537

These can also be modified, flex blocks have many customization options
https://tagdiv.com/discover-flex-blocks-customization/
https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-flex-block-elements/

Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

So when you edit that header with the composer there are errors. What if you import the header again from the cloud library and try to edit it?

If the same happens, we could take a look at it. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.

Hi,

That is correct, the code has the form you mention. It can be entered in the Theme panel->Analytics section – http://prntscr.com/njsy4a
To see if it loads, check in the page source of a page – http://prntscr.com/njszaz

What exactly is the problem you are having setting it up? If possible specify some more details about it. Let me know.

Thanks

The tagDiv composer plugin is now even more required than before, but the theme can still be used without it. However it will be limited quite severely. For example without the composer there will be just one post template – http://prntscr.com/njstyc
This happens because after the 9.7 update many theme files were moved in the composer plugin, without it being active the files will not load.

If you relied on WPBakery to build the website, and there are problems after updating, maybe you should consider using the previous theme version (9.6.1) before this changes were made, for the time being. That version can be downloaded from here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/important-new-update-newspaper-9-7/

We will try to eliminate conflicts that may happen between our composer and WPBakery, in coming updates. You could attempt the update at a later time. Also maybe consider creating a testing copy of the website on a sub-domain for example, and update there to see what happens. This would be a safer way.

Hi,

So the composer is slow when editing pages? Does it happen regardless of browser used?

You could first check the theme requirements guide, make sure there are enough resources
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Note the code provided at the bottom of the guide, add it in the htaccess file.

If there is no need to increase the resources, try investigating plugins. Maybe a plugin is causing it. As a quick test deactivate all non-theme plugins, then test to see if there is an improvement.

Let us know the results.

Hi,

The button element provided by the theme is in the formats dropdown
http://prntscr.com/njsp7c
In order to use these buttons when creating posts with Gutenberg, you must use the classic element
http://prntscr.com/njspiy
That would be all there is to it. Please let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

Those look alright, the max_input_vars should be set to 5000 if possible. If you tried checking for plugin problems and it is not the case, we could take a look at it. Could be a security service or security module on the server maybe, that delays the saving process.

If you want us to take a look, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel if possible. Mention if we should check anything specific or the problem is with all the theme panel. Include a link to this topic in the email as well. Let us know.

Hi,

By default a post can have one author, this could be extended with plugin like the one you mention. But it will require modifications to the theme files in order to make the plugin work with theme. There are some topics you can follow
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/multiple-authors-co-authors-on-articles-author-links-and-author-boxes/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/co-authors-plugin-code/
As a note, if you updated the theme to 4.8, the post template files are now in the tagDiv composer plugin – http://prntscr.com/njsluq

From what I know there are plans to make this implementation more easier to do, there will be a guide created by us in the future. Can’t say when exactly however.

Hi,

Seems there are a few AMP errors, I checked one of your posts with the validator. In most cases these are due to plugins, custom code entered in the theme panel, theme files, ad spots, or even in the post content.

For example this error (and another one) seems to be caused by the Facebook pixel code
http://prntscr.com/njsern
You could add that code here – http://prntscr.com/njsf2h hen test again.

All the errors have to be analyzed and get to the source of the issue, and there are quite a lot of issues that can happen due to various elements
https://amp.dev/documentation/guides-and-tutorials/learn/validation-workflow/validation_errors
By default, using theme plugins, AMP and mobile theme, the AMP is valid. But usually various codes or plugins interfere with the validation. Only by removing/deactivating them and testing can lead to valid AMP.

Hi,

It is possible to make customizations that will apply only to a specific page, but in the CSS code only. The code will still be loaded at all times.

So for example you can use the unique ID of a page that appears on the body as a class, to create a code that will work only for it – http://prntscr.com/njs90b
Or if you are in a post page, use the unique ID of the post – http://prntscr.com/njs9ad

If you have more questions let us know.
Thanks

Hi,

There is a thing you could try. Please check in the theme panel here
http://prntscr.com/njj19q
Remove or replace the image found there. It is an image set by the demo that is installed, seems there is a 404 on it. This could potentially delay the loading of the page. Please do this and check again.

Hi,

So the website is now showing when viewing with a mobile phone and Chrome? I could take a look, please post a link to the website so I can check.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay, there are many topics currently, and also taking into account the previous days off. We try to reply as soon as possible.

Regarding the issue, those links are not part of the theme by default. They must be entered somewhere in the theme panel, theme code if you made modifications to it, or a child theme maybe.

From what I can see adsagony could be an ad provider
https://onlinepep.com/adsagony-review-legit-or-scam-payment-support-pros-cons-user-reviews/
https://www.hindihelpsagar.com/2018/08/adsagony-ke-ads-blog-me-kaise-lagaye.html
Maybe you entered a code or script from them in the code somewhere in the theme. I can say for sure that the theme by default will not contain any ads such as this, or from ad providers.

Hi,

What builder did you use to build the page? From what I can see the single image elements don’t display properly, it may happen if you used WPBakery. This is a known issue and will be fixed, it happens when both the composer and WPBakery plugins are active.

A fix is provided in this topic, for the time being
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/single-image-widget-settings/
Sorry for this inconvenience. Please try and check if the single image elements display correctly.

Also be sure to update WPBakery to the latest version
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

In this particular case (updating to 9.7) it would be best to try and update by FTP
https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
There were modifications made to theme files location, so it would be best to delete the old theme and upload the new one manually. Also try and increase the wp-memory, if possible to 256M, this could also be the cause of the problem
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/
As well, check what is mentioned at point 2 in the guide. Entering that code in the htaccess could also solve it.

If nothing works, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Doesn’t work like that unfortunately, it will search for each word used in the search field. If you can’t find something useful or relevant using the forum search, you can always create a new topic and ask, we will help you. Please let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

So you want to do this in a page or in a post? In a post it would be possible but only if you use a cloud post template – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single

These row layouts – http://prntscr.com/njiawg will appear only if the cloud library plugin is active. Maybe you are not seeing them because of this.

Thanks

Simion C.

So now it is working? Please let me know if you have more questions, or you need help.

Simion C.

Hi,

@ML
You can edit the template of the category page, if it is a cloud category template
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Category
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
The template can contain any of the elements available in the composer. You can add blocks, grids, text etc. Let me know if you need help or you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

Now the AMP links are with /?amp – http://prntscr.com/nji47y The old URLs should redirect automatically, when I try it on your website seems to work
http://prntscr.com/nji5vk

The stylesheet will not be too long by default, plugins are usually causing it by inserting additional CSS. In order to see if this is the case, the only way is to temporarily deactivate all non-theme plugins except AMP, and test again. Most likely plugins are causing the issue.

Thanks

Simion C.

Hi,

Now it should work correctly, I believe there was a temporary problem with the cloud library server. Please try again, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

Whatever you did seems to have fixed the problem – http://prntscr.com/njhzh9
From what I can see the background applies correctly in the post pages, and across the whole website.

Hi,

There were similar reports by a few users, we will make some more tests in this matter. Currently there is an issue with Facebook videos, but YouTube videos should work the same as before. I tested multiple videos, and found no problem with this.

If you want us to take a look, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. We will make some tests with videos. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks
