Hi,
Please specify exactly what are the problems you are facing setting up the social counter, and when are they occurring. Please follow the required steps exactly how they are described in the guide you mention, and there should be no problem.
Thanks
Hi,
You could modify the font color for the post titles on the blocks, for each block if you want to. For example this block on your page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/x4HNQhKs0F7l
This is the code used
.td_block_18 .td_module_10 .td-module-title a {
color: red;
}
Here is a tutorial about using the browser inspector to identify the elements on the page and their classes, in order to create custom code – https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
This explains how to make minor modifications to the page elements, that would not be possible through the theme options at the moment.
Also I could mention that each block can have a class assigned to it, this can be useful when you have multiple blocks of the same type, to differentiate them – https://www.screencast.com/t/YaboS0Emf
Rows can accept a class as well – https://www.screencast.com/t/70Efz1rEyzc
Thanks
Hi,
It would be very helpful if you could provide a link to your website so we can inspect this problem, and possibly identify the cause for this. I suggest you remove any custom code that you might be using in theme panel, or added to the theme files. Also deactivate all your plugins except the ones provided in the theme package.
Thanks
Hi,
That will always display the main theme version, not the child version. The child theme has no influence over the that section of the theme panel.
Thanks
Hi,
I don’t understand exactly what box are you referring to, if you can give me more details I will try to give you a solution. I can’t tell what you want to achieve, given the screenshot you provided and the 4 pointing arrows.
Thanks
Hi,
I have inspected your website, but I do not see the problems you mention at the moment
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tGSchFQHi2
– https://www.screencast.com/t/FsBy6lTyl5
The website seems to be working properly, there is no issue with the menu on mobile from what I can tell.
Thanks
Hi,
Most of the page building block elements have the option to limit the post number displayed, If you would like to display a single post in a block, you will just have to set a limit like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gt1txIMw7m1a
It all depends on the layout and block style that you choose to use for this, there are many elements that you can choose from in the Visual composer editor.
You can find all the settings and options available for the blocks in this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Also all the blocks currently available can be previewed in the live theme demo
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
Thanks
Hi,
The Author box element will display author info based on the author Id entered in the required field
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ZEPTjjyAcEG
You can find the author Id by hovering the user name for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PO9yTF8T9zh
Then the author box will display this author and the avatar that is set for that profile, based on the user Id.
Thanks
Hi,
You can use this guide to check if the social counter has been configured properly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/
Try clearing any caching installed and check again. Please note that there could be some delay for the data to refresh, so it would be best to try and wait for a little more time after setting it up. Also your Facebook profile page must be public in order for the social counter to work as intended.
If it’s still not working, please provide a link to your website so we can take a look.
Thanks
Have a nice day too!
Hi,
I don’t understand exactly what you want to achieve in the sidebar, with the categories. There is no option to hide categories by default and the display them on hover on desktop or on mobile, this will have to be made custom or through a plugin that has these capabilities. Please correct me if I misunderstand.
Thanks
Hi,
I have inspected your website and I see only these errors in the console
– https://www.screencast.com/t/MqYwsHuoCyi
This has happened before to some users, a solution is provided in this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
If you try the method suggested there it will most likely clear these errors and the icons should display as intended.
Also I see that your header menu is not created properly
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0tIL5tJvMsC
You have a mega menu with subcategories and then there are sub-menu items as well. Here is a guide to help you create different types of mega-menus – https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
Basically the menu item you decide to make a mega-menu has to be a root menu item, and not have any sub-menus.
Please let us know if I misunderstood something or you need further help.
Thanks
Hi,
It seems you have a page mega menu, and sub-menus inside it. If you want to keep this, I am assuming you want to display these menu items on a horizontal line, like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/kFUTwaO4U9lE
This is the code used, it must be entered in Theme panel->Custom Css
.menu-item-1515 .td-normal-menu {
width: auto!important;
}
Thanks
Hi,
I do not see any problems with the drop-down menu on your website. This is how it looks on my end
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0sd0RSiJ
And on the live demo – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
The header menu was subject to design changes in the recent theme updates, maybe you have updated from an older version and that is why it seems different. If you would like to modify the current menu please provide more details or a screenshot about how you would like it to be, and I will try to give you a solution.
Thanks
Hi,
When you have the child theme active you should see it like this in the themes section
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PPFYsQZY35hL
If there aren’t any more problems at the moment and the theme customization is applying properly , probably something went wrong with the other child theme you were using. It would have been best if you could identify the cause, to avoid it if possible. Anyway glad you could solve this issue, and benefit from using a child theme.
Thanks
Hi,
I have inspected your website and everything is working properly for me at the moment. I see no problems whatsoever with the website. Those values are the recommended ones for the hthaccess file according to the specifications – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could try the suggestions provided in this topic and see if they have any effect for you
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/
Thanks
Hi,
You can only update the Visual composer manually. Just deactivate and delete it, then install the latest version provided in the theme package – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
This editor comes pre-activated in the theme package and you can use all the available features, there is no need to activate the Visual composer bundled in theme package.
You can update the theme using this method – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and also find more update advice here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The settings in the theme panel will not be lost, only modifications made directly to the theme files will be removed, as the files will be replaced.
As suggested in the update guide, you should make a full backup before you take any action.
Thanks
Hi,
The Revolution slider plugin as well as the Visual composer editor plugin are provided pre-activated in the theme package, and you do not have to activate either of these. You already have full access to the plugin features and you can use it without activation. Updates for the plugins bundled within the theme package will be included in the theme updates – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
Thanks
Hi,
If you would center just the title it would look like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/e2wwXYHKU
This is the code used
.td_module_4 .td-module-title{
text-align: center;
}
If you would like to center the title and the date
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Gdkd2pZ9sM you can try this code
.td_module_4 .td-module-title,
.td_module_4 .td-module-meta-info{
text-align: center;
}
The category tag displayed on the module is a bit tricky to position differently, because it has an absolute position, and it is always in the left corner. I could set a left margin, but that would not be the best solution, and it may not look best – https://www.screencast.com/t/jNdgjvCpx
Thanks
Hi,
First please check the system status of the theme and make changes to some parameters if needed, according to this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
The try and import one of the demo sliders and add it to the page. More information here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/
Please make sure that you assign a category or more from which the slide will display posts.
Simply add the slider element to the page structure
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qOhBZ05b4N
– https://www.screencast.com/t/pX90WSG3
And then it should display as intended on the page.
The Revolution slider plugin is very complex and has many options in all aspects, it may take a while to master. Here you can find all the documentation available on the official website, and see all the features this plugin has to better understand it, and help you get started using it
– https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/
Thanks
Hi,
The featured image has to be entered manually in the required field in the post edit screen, and the theme will create the necessary thumbs from this image and display them on the modules/blocks. This is how the theme works and the post structure is designed. The featured image is specifically called in every post structure that can display it. Maybe you can do it through a plugin that has this kind of capabilities. Or you can try to search for this here on the forum, maybe some other users have managed to implement something like you want.
Thanks
Hi,
The Latest articles section has the same filtering capabilities of blocks, so you could filter and sort the posts that are displayed in this section. This can be done in the post loop settings here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2x7KZNTMoDvh
More information about page templates here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
Or you could use an offset for the Latest Articles section
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/
Thanks
Hi,
I see that you have some problems with the block titles being cut off. Please check any custom code you might have used or modifications to the block title font in theme panel. If you made modifications to the font size in theme panel, try modifying the line height as well – https://www.screencast.com/t/bw8FogE4
If this is not the case, it would be helpful if you could provide a link to your website so we can inspect it, and give you a more accurate solution.
Thanks
Hi,
You must set a primary category for your posts, this way you can control the category tag displayed on blocks on the homepage, breadcrumb structure and many others. More information about the primary category and what this feature means here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
Thanks
Hi,
If that is the primary category set then it should display accordingly. The primary category influences the article sidebar, the category tag displayed on modules and the breadcrumbs. This is better explained here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
The post you mention seems to have this category as primary
– https://www.screencast.com/t/HrWXOHVm – https://www.screencast.com/t/wsXaN84sn
And this as the parent of the primary category
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5hvYZepB
I don’t know what more to say in this matter, because everything seems to be in order.
Thanks
Hi,
The category tag can be disabled for the Slide element in Theme panel->Block settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Ehax5RwH
Unfortunately the Slide does not feature a subtitle option if that is what you mean, if you want to display this on the slide. The slide will display the category tag, post title and meta information.
Thanks
