Sorry for the delay.

Despite the deprecation notices (not errors) which we will fix, on our end the block editor from wordpress is working same as before. There are no sever bugs, it’s not very slow, and the layout/styles are not completely broken. We’re simply not experiencing these issues while using the latest wordpress and theme versions. And there’s nothing preventing the full usage of the block editor.

I’m checking tens of websites each day, and I haven’t seen these symptoms so far. There must be something specific happening in some cases most likely.

That’s why it would be best if we could check directly on the website where it’s happening. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. We will check to try and find out what’s happening there exactly.

Thank you!

Hi,

Blocks are all the same in terms of filtering and sorting, only their design is different.

If a block doesn’t show the latest post or posts, then it could be because it has an offset -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/ That’s the first thing to check. An offset will make a block skip a set number of posts, this is helpful sometimes.

Please check if the block has an offset.

Thank you!

Hi,

That is possible. It could be made with a section, meaning using multiple blocks, which can be arranged as needed on desktop and mobile.

But it could also be done with some CSS. Maybe this will be easier if you just want the grid to look that way.

In Newspaper are you using Big grid flex 2? -> https://prnt.sc/VYV3XQeAAqxP Let me know if that’s the case, and I’ll provide a solution to make it display as you want on mobile.

Thank you!

Hi,

The theme panel is available only to admins.

But if you are referring to the post settings from the post edit screen -> https://prnt.sc/LntDAe_ddVEO those will be available for authors, editors, and admins, meaning everyone that can publish posts based on their wordpress user role.

Would you like to hide the post settings from the post edit screen for everyone but admins? I could try to provide a code solution, because it isn’t possible with options. Normally the post settings should be available for users that can publish posts, authors and above.

Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

The font for the post content on mobile is 15px from what I see -> https://prnt.sc/aQBaqyiB2JuO On desktop it’s 18px.

The post title on mobile is 45px -> https://prnt.sc/R38xqcs-8HNt On desktop it’s 55px.

This means it’s working fine. There are font sizes set for mobile, which override the desktop font sizes. I don’t see a problem with it so far.

Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

@Phase9

Are you also using GoDaddy? Then it’s more than just a coincidence. In both cases from above, the websites were hosted by GoDaddy. The first test I made was to deactivate all the non-theme plugins, the composer functioned much better after doing this, and no freezes.

So I suspected that a plugin was causing the issue, but then it didn’t matter which plugins I activated because the issue started happening again.

My suggestion was to increase the wp memory -> https://www.godaddy.com/en-ph/help/increase-the-wordpress-memory-limit-40246 But if that didn’t help, I’ll investigate it further. Could you please try this as well? Let me know if it solves the problem.

Thank you!

Hi,

No problem, I’ll help with what I can.

1. I’ll need more details about what’s not working exactly.

The account element is for logging in or registering -> https://prnt.sc/CfKMNGhSj7ux Which is required if you offer subscriptions for the website visitors, through the plans page here -> https://product-wiki.com/switching-plans-wizard/

The Subscribe button opens a popup, which contains some text and a leads element -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/leads/

2. That’s the same theme leads element, it’s purpose is to gather emails, which you can then export and use in your newsletter services. It isn’t required to use this leads element. If you are using Mailchimp, you could use the form provided by Mailchimp instead -> https://mailchimp.com/help/add-a-signup-form-to-your-website/ That embed code can be loaded in a Raw HTML element from the composer.

3. The theme already has frontend submission capabilities, we added these features some time ago -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-12-update-is-live-explore-the-new-features/

All you have to do is to create a page from where the subscribers can submit content -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-frontend-submission-form/ You can also set limits based on the plans the users subscribe to -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/subscriptions/ -> https://prnt.sc/fUyrJR_WCnW9

So if your purpose is to provide subscription plans for the website visitors, and based on the subscription plans the subscribers can submit content on your website, this is possible with the theme features, no extra plugins needed. I’ll help as well. I suggest starting by building the content submission page, the guide I provided should be helpful. Then let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Hi,

While I’m not quite sure what’s happening exactly, I do see a mobile menu and a search inside the content of the homepage, not in the header -> https://prnt.sc/SNrqVyfjCB0K

In the post pages after I refresh the page I also see a mobile menu and search, but still inside the content, not the header, the header is this one -> https://prnt.sc/zhqYSFNarOYn

I believe you added the mobile menu and search inside the content not the header. This can be seen while clicking on the elements in the composer, for example if you click on something you can see the zone it’s in, like this -> https://prnt.sc/BbpWRHinTxxu or like this -> https://prnt.sc/0yslOal_Ohva

And I think you are also using mobile templates perhaps, which complicates things a bit.

I can help fix these things, the fastest way would be send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access (user and pass) for the website, so I can check how the header is built and make adjustments where needed.

Thank you!

Hi,

I will take a look at the issues directly on the website. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login (user and pass). I will check as soon as possible.

Hi,

Those are the post settings. Assuming the post settings are active in the options -> https://prnt.sc/K99tK0XTiXrl they must be somewhere in the post edit screen.

Maybe the post settings section is closed at the bottom -> https://prnt.sc/Nabkz9NfkbDa

Or maybe it was moved by mistake in the sidebar on the right -> https://prnt.sc/omg9rOu4Sc1P

Currently there’s no such issue in the theme. Maybe the post settings section is just in a different location in your post edit screen. But in case it’s truly missing, then it’s very unusual. I can take a look at it if you want, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. I will check as soon as possible.

In the meantime if you need to use the post settings you could use the classic editor plugin.

Thank you!

I think that my email reply wasn’t sent or received for some reason. Gmail says that your inbox is full.

In case you haven’t received it, what I found was that the views weren’t active -> https://prnt.sc/QRFD2p4OqWyr If that setting isn’t active, the theme view count does not work. I activated it at the time, and posts began to show in empty blocks where the popular sorting method was used – https://prnt.sc/Zh1k9mRO-kK9 So from now on the blocks should not be empty anymore. Please check them as well and let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

That looks correct and it is what the standard pack plugin should contain. The modules, shortcodes and other folders and files are inside that Newspaper folder from the plugin -> https://prnt.sc/bA4Jqmbdkpp4 I see no problem with what you described.

But I’m not quite sure what you are trying to do exactly. There are 3 video shortcodes in the composer -> https://prnt.sc/rN85UZYXaPJG Is there a problem with them? Please let me know how I can help exactly.

Thank you!

The scrollbar appears because the height is too low, so to display all the content from the popup it requires scrolling.

Right now the height is set to 400px from what I see. If it would be set to a minimum of 510px, then the scrollbar won’t be needed -> https://prnt.sc/VrXiAgZAdxyr

I suggest setting the height to 510px -> https://prnt.sc/ZDmXuXz8OFiO which should remove the scrollbar.

From what I see you have no menus in that language. Menus can be translated or created for each language. I suggest checking this guide -> https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/

Hi,

That isn’t a known issue. But I do have a pretty good idea about what’s happening.

Does the page maybe look like this when it happens? -> https://prnt.sc/hyCp9Ek6hrrs
That’s the mobile theme version, meaning the mobile theme plugin is active on the website. The mobile theme doesn’t load composer or cloud library resources and classes.

Normally the mobile theme is displayed on mobile. But sometimes due to the caching used on the website or provided by the hosting, it can get displayed on desktop as well. It usually depends on how the homepage is visited after the cache is cleared. If someone visits it with a mobile, then the mobile version is cached and server to everyone. By updating the page in the composer you are basically clearing the cache, and if you check with a desktop next then the problem is solved. Until by coincidence it will happen again.

I see you use litespeed, if this is the only caching used on the website, I suggest activating this option -> https://prnt.sc/gSi7feVctFPh If it’s already active and it’s still happening, then it means there is another cache active.

Or, you could deactivate the mobile theme plugin. It’s an optional plugin.

I believe that this is what’s happening, because it fits the description of the problem. I could be wrong however.

Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

Please do not post admin access to the website in a public forum. Every forum member can access the topic and see your wordpress admin login. Please change the admin password as soon as possible.

If there are problems with the theme which require investigating on the website, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website there. Be sure to include details about the problems that we should check. We will check as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Hi,

This issue was discussed in this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/numbers-missing-in-fields/ We’ll see what we can do about it.

Hi,

Not sure what’s going on there exactly, but from what I see someone used some CSS to hide all inner rows -> https://prnt.sc/5tRMTnTwUTyP Please check in theme custom CSS in the admin bar -> https://prnt.sc/m8zwDStfW-bV Remove that code from there and the footer and other elements across the website will be visible again. That code isn’t very specific and it will cause a lot of problems.

If there are other issues I suggest reviewing all the custom CSS added there, because the issues may be caused by it.

Rows can be deleted in 3 ways:
1. Click on the row icon -> https://prnt.sc/qprLb8NXj2fJ and drag to the bottom right corner -> https://prnt.sc/YKF8Wh84EBr4
2. Click the row icon and press delete on the keyboard.
3. Right click the row icon and choose delete -> https://prnt.sc/lfJ0bq3LMOqI
Please use either method and delete the rows that you don’t need.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Thank you!

Sorry for the delay.

I checked the key and I see it is assigned to two websites, which are both using the theme at this time. I removed the one where I believe you don’t want to use the theme anymore. So you could assign the key to another website. Please check as well.

Hi,

I’ll need more details.

Right now the Sci-Tech block is inside a big row -> https://prnt.sc/usVhDzLzYRcT That row is split into two columns. It can be spit in three columns, but this will affect all the content from the row.

If you could let me know what exactly you want to do, I can help more. Some screenshots or a mockup with how you want the page to look would be helpful, or some other kinds of examples.

Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

No problem, that’s possible.

I will however have to get back to you later today, or at worst tomorrow morning, because we are having some issues with the internet over here. Once it’s back on, I’ll check the key in the database and let you know. I’m sorry for this inconvenience.

Thank you!

I’ll help.

1. Normally if you set the border radius on the popup element here -> https://prnt.sc/a5t3NYI-ApGL The popup should have a border when it’s opened -> https://prnt.sc/8CU8V8SU6C4D Seems to function correctly.

Or you could use some CSS to add the border radius -> https://prnt.sc/pjFjgJCQ-xji
Or if you want just the left top and left bottom corners to be rounded -> https://prnt.sc/x2_-ffQE1xCD

Here are both codes, first case and second:

#tdm-popup-modal-2142 .tdm-popup-modal {
border-radius: 25px;
}

#tdm-popup-modal-2142 .tdm-popup-modal {
border-radius: 25px 0 0 25px;
}

It’s all CSS basically, either using a setting or a code directly.

2. Rows can be made sticky. If you add the popup button in a new row of it’s own, then you can make that row sticky either at the top or at the bottom -> https://prnt.sc/z7msbWVW4qmS You could try it like that.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you!

NO problem, glad it worked.

And sorry about that issue with the CSS code, I should have pasted the code between code tags, I modified it now. Also I uploaded the woff file on our CDN so the link doesn’t expire, it’s a zip archive which contains the file.

This can be used as a solution until we permanently make the modification in the theme. Then it won’t be needed anymore.

Thank you!

Hi,

That means the menu items also have submenus, they are visible on desktop as well -> https://prnt.sc/rPsZWwQ7dk9u It’s a common mistake when using megamenus.

The important thing to keep in mind, is that the menu item for which you activate the megamenu should not have submenus.

So for example these menu items can have megamenus -> https://prnt.sc/n4Q5mf4IsNv6
This one should not have a megamenu because it has submenus -> https://prnt.sc/zMN2nBqkcz5P

A megamenu already displays the subcategories of the category you select when you enable it, so it’s not necessary to also add the subcategories as submenus, because if you do they will be displayed twice -> https://prnt.sc/vYe9ruzmjcgs

I suggest removing the submenus from below the menu items that are megamenus -> https://prnt.sc/SBKPYKLg0gFO Then the issue should be solved.

Let me know if you have any questions or if there are other issues.

Thank you!

No problem, let’s discuss it more.

If the view count is active -> https://prnt.sc/dWOw3XDr3wFk and it’s working correctly, posts should be displayed in the blocks that use the sorting by popularity.

If I check a post from your website, it looks like the post views are active and the views are counted -> https://prnt.sc/Bh_Zdkj1fd7Z the count is increasing -> https://prnt.sc/Ez68JNdTWAUa

In the homepage I see a grid with a title called Popular -> https://prnt.sc/a4dt_fcgVUgp Is this grid set to display popular posts?

I also see a news ticker in the homepage, which I believe is set to display popular posts from the last 48 hours, but doesn’t display any posts -> https://prnt.sc/maKTXoDVs7SV

Maybe it would be best if I can check directly on the website. I suggest to send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access (user and pass) for the website, I will then check as soon as possible.

Thank you!
