Hello,

The settings in the theme panel are the same for the child theme and the main theme because both themes use the same database. As for the theme panel color, the default one is a dynamic one. If you set it different from default (to white for example) it will remain white on all menus selected. Normally the color should not have changed if you did not set it from the panel.

Hi,

When you upload a featured image it will be cropped to different sizes so the thumbs will be used on modules. If you use all the modules you will have to enable the thumbs on blocks and modules so all these thumbs will be generated – http://screencast.com/t/alnwgtw5n
Please note that the featured image size should not be smaller than the thumb used on module as the WordPress doesn’t enlarge images. Lucian already provided an example on email regarding an image from your site.

The theme doesn’t have a multilingual feature, but you could use a plugin like QTranslateX to have a different content. Newspaper 6 is practically a new theme, whole the code was rewritten, so if you had custom implementation to the code(socials on modules for example) you will have to re-add them.
Regarding the tweet like button slow loading, you could try this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and see if you still have this issue.

Do not confuse the modules with blocks. The modules are used to create blocks. Like you can see in that section where you enable the category on modules, Module 15 is not used on any of tagdiv blocks – http://screencast.com/t/j72gQJuAf It can be used only on loop(Latest Articles, archive, tags, category…templates). So when you enable the category tag on module 15 and you use this module on a category for example – http://screencast.com/t/si6Pms4E here will appear the category tag – http://screencast.com/t/NsEC0ikgZph

The playlist gets narrowed down because of the sidebar. Our examples are on a page without sidebar so the playlist has enough space to display full size.

Your css applies a fixed width also for tablets and phones, so you could try like this:
