Hi,

I have a website which I am testing the design and the plugins of Newspaper Theme. On the post page (http://www.alexiptwto.com/?p=29143) under the comments I add the module 9 showing the latest posts.

How is it possible to make this module 9 with infinite scroll? See example of the dailymail post page (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2619458/So-happens-Scotland-votes-yes-Camerons-quit-Queen-furious-Shetlands-taken-oil-Scottish-economy-tanking-A-brilliant-imagining-life-Union.html)

Thank you

i put the widget on the top right social bar. I’m not sure why it doesn’t appear when the user is not logged in. It only appears when the user is logged in.

my website is acctgworks.com

you can log in using this account to see what i’m talking about:
username: sample user
password: acme#727

Hi
I need my site to look like newspaper fashion theme? I uploaded a BG image but it doesnt fit. is there any specific size for BG for is it possible to fit the background according to the screen size?

And also i need to adjust the height between the top menu and the main menu. need more space between those two, as in newspaper fashion theme. I tried the “HEADER ALIGNMENT” but it didnt work.

Well, color me amazed. This actually worked.

1) plugin: Auto Post Thumbnail PRO 1.3 by By Tarique Sani (commercial plugin)

2) plugin: Thumbnail Upscale Version 1.0 By Stanislav Khromov (free via wordpress.org)

My media settings
Thumbnail size: 326×159 (because our old small images were 300×250)
[x] crop thumbnail

Medium Size 700×357 (max width x height)
Large Size 745×483 (max width x height)

Did regen thumbs on old posts, and the slightly smaller article headers were enlarged and properly cropped to fit the home page 4-box slider big pic (745×483), and the category indexes with featured image (700×357).

Did new post with image size of 700×406 placed into top of story, hand selected as featured image, and then it properly zoomed it on front page slider.

So, for me (so far) this combo solves multiple issues/needs for our various sites. How freaking awesome is that. Still need to test on some legacy stuff, but seems to work.

example:
enlarged/cropped thumbnail for category featured image
http://ga-ga.com/gogaga/lifestyle/

Original article with legacy content/image size
http://ga-ga.com/492/growing-older-in-a-youth-oriented-society/

So, for the “older folks” here, this now seems to do what timthumb used to do, although at the moment with “all thumbs on” – this makes 8 thumbs per photo, even smaller pix put as supplemental images. So, a story with 2 images, has 16 image files.

Obviously I need to audit the sizes actually being used and trim a couple of those, maybe 3 sizes out including xxxxx-1074×483.jpg.

🙂

Thank you so much!! The missing thing for me was putting the entire date AND time string in the date section. Have a great weekend!!

Make sure you entered the full date and time format code that he shared into the Date custom box, as pictured.

Also, make sure you have reverted any code changes regarding this topic back to defaults so it will show up.

I tested it on my demo by adding in the time format string to the date custom string and it shows on the home page blocks, the sidebar blocks, the category archives and single.php with no other changes needed.

Single.php: http://screencast.com/t/8ZpKVgjs56
Category Archive: http://screencast.com/t/9Gl4ASb4GM

As an interim solution I use the raw html with this code, for example:

<iframe src="http://youtu.be/r_rVyt-ojpY?rel=0" frameborder="0" width="640" height="480"></iframe>

This also has the advantage that you can add this code to the end of the link

  ?rel=0

which stops videos thumbnails automatically being added after your video has played

Screen print of the forum typo (bugs me too!).

It would be a great addition to the theme panel. That and the option to directly enter the Twitter via source are sorely needed.

Thanks again for the help Christopher… I will be testing this out today.

Yes, the settings are set accordingly but the time is not showing up. How do I make the time show on the posts?

Shezaad

Hi, Sorry for the delay. I was away from town. Anyways I tried your suggestion but it still doesnt shows up. All I have to do is copy &amp; paste your code to wp-config.php right? I did that nothing changed.

Dear Marius

I would like to inform that when we click the twitter share button, our account that include _ not type by default. So we or reader must edited/add _. Example, the correct one is @News_paper, but the result is: @News paper. So link not to our account but to other account that we dont know.
Any suggest how to fix it?
