Hi,
This “‘The tagDiv Mobile Theme now works best with the AMP plugin to provide a complete solution for your content on mobiles.’” is just a message, not an error, also is possible that using amp plugin to this to not work with the password box.
Also, if you want to use the amp, you can use the tagDiv mobile theme only for amp – https://i.imgur.com/eXaQ0Nq.png – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Also can you please let m know the plugin you are using for Password protect?
Thank you!
Hello Support,
I have a pricing page that includes an “Order” button for each item. When a user clicks the Order button, it redirects to a form page that uses Contact Form 7. I would like to pass parameters (such as the selected product or pricing option) from the pricing page to the form, so that these values can be pre-filled or processed within the form.
Could you please advise on the best way to implement this with the Newspaper theme? For example:
– How to pass URL parameters from the button to the form page
– How to retrieve those parameters and populate them into Contact Form 7 fields
Thank you for your assistance!
Best regards,
Vunt
I have the AMP Plugin activated because when I disabled it, I got this message:
‘The tagDiv Mobile Theme now works best with the AMP plugin to provide a complete solution for your content on mobiles.’
I thought I needed to run this as well. But I have disabled it and cleared my caches at our CDN, purged cache on the server, and on my browsers. But that did not fix the issue. The password protection works on POSTS but not on PAGES (on mobile). Would the AMP differ between the two types of content to allow it to work on POSTS and not PAGES?
Can anyone else in this forum address the issue with VPN blocking our videos when it is enabled? Again, try this example from a Mobile Device, with your VPN enabled: https://www.besthomegear.com/video/ego-electric-riding-mower/
This or any other video on our site will not open for us. But if you disable VPN, they all open.
Since nearly 70% of all mobile users employ VPN as we do, this is a huge issue, so we appreciate any guidance using Tagdiv “mobile friendly” theme.
Hi! Just updated Newspaper to the latest version and noticed that all pages now have this little snippet after them: ?atag=1&sv=1&cid=837120423.1703532032
It looks to me like this is some kind of geo-tag. But unsure.
Is is something that could be caused by the theme or could there be some kind of plugin- incompatibility going on?
Site link for reference: https://www.enkelteknik.se/
Kind regards, Chris
@Anamaria – I am having this same issue. A password-protected page works on mobile as a Post. But if I put the same information in a Page and password protect it. The page loads blank.
You said for this to work ‘you need to set the content in mobile theme editor’ – I have a page cloud template set and a mobile version as well for the page templates.

Our site uses the hamburger icon for the mobile view and we would like to add a search field as an option once the menu is opened like in this image
I have not been able to find this in the documentation.
Hi Calin,
Thank you for acknowledging the feature request and for adding it to your internal list.
Is there any way I can get notified if this offset functionality is approved and implemented in a future update? For example, should I keep an eye on a specific changelog page or subscribe to a newsletter or updates section?
Looking forward to any news on this!
Best regards,
mostwonder
Yes I understand that’s how it works. The issue is the articles shown are not the most popular (see the example in the initial post). We have posts that were posted in the last week with more views than the ones that are shown in the most popular(irrelevant of date).
Hi,
The Popular filter (24h / 48h / 7d) works like this: it displays posts that have received the most views within the selected time frame, regardless of when the posts were originally published. For example, if a post from three months ago has been highly viewed in the last 7 days, it will appear in the “7d” filter results.
Please note that the filter does not count views from all time, only from the selected recent period.
If I misunderstood your question, feel free to clarify, I’ll be happy to help further.
Thank you!
We have followed all the documentation and recommended solutions but the functionality of the filter of Popular filtering (24h/48/7d) is not working correctly. We can identify that the posts which are shown are not the most popular in that timeframe.
For example an article from 1 month ago has total views 50 and another article has 200 views which was uploaded yesterday. The first one is shown in the most popular but the later is not, this is the case for various posts. Also the posts change on each refresh. In this example the filter is set to Most Popular filtering 7d.
See also the following details:
– Website is using WP Rocket cache
– Block Settings > USE LAST 24/48 HOURS & 7 DAYS POST SORTING is enabled
– Post Settings > Ajax view count is enabled
– Post Settings > Post and Custom Post types > SHOW POST VIEWS is enabled
– Sort Order is Popular (last 7 days)
Are you able to send here the raw example sourcecode/shortcode for this block to put in the Sourceview in the page, please?
I’m experiencing a problem with the mobile version of my website using the Newspaper Theme. The issue is that the article pages appear significantly different on mobile devices compared to what I see in the TagDiv Composer editor.
For example, when viewing a specific article on my phone, certain design elements are missing or rearranged compared to the editor view. The structure, typography, and even the spacing between blocks do not match the layout I created in TagDiv Composer.
I’ve attached two screenshots for reference:
One from the TagDiv Composer editor (how the article is supposed to look),
One from a mobile device (how it actually displays live).
Could you please advise how to resolve this inconsistency? Is there a setting or mobile override I might be missing?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,
If you have the tagDiv Mobile theme plugin installed and activated, then this is the one that will apply, what you can do is to use it only for amp – https://i.imgur.com/41XWouL.png (in case you are using the amp plugin), disable it on pages -> https://i.imgur.com/bYhragp.png -> https://i.imgur.com/l3oVbsa.png if you do not want it on specific pages only or disable the plugin – https://i.imgur.com/itHrBpI.png in case that you do not want it on your website.
Thank you!
Hi tagDiv Team,
I’m looking to give my site visitors the option to switch between different visual styles or themes (for example, a dark/light mode or even completely different layouts).
Before testing anything, I wanted to ask if you’ve ever tested any frontend theme or design switchers with your theme? For example, plugins like WP Dark Mode, Theme Switcha, or even custom-built CSS switchers.
Are there any known compatibility issues or recommendations you could share?
Thanks in advance for your support!
Best regards,
Hi,
That’s the space for the sidebar. Maybe the sidebar you are using has no widgets inside it. You can check in the theme panel what sidebar is used https://prnt.sc/leSgeaSVPycH or remove the sidebar https://prnt.sc/M_cPlozX-61S
From what I se you removed the sidebar https://prnt.sc/P9sT-qnNKdbn To avoid issues like these https://prnt.sc/H_psJQ-2CnR7 you can change the number of posts displayed in the category page post loop here https://prnt.sc/JmoBSxSrjXRI Set it to 12 for example.
Thank you!
This evening I was tinkering with a plug-in for text-to-speech.
I have fiddled with the plugin in the past with no impact on my page format.
However, now, my Posts are all weird, both on desktop as well as mobile.
My home page is fine. https://regardless.sg/
However posts all appear to have lost their ability to adjust to the display? Here are some examples.
1. https://regardless.sg/the-dark-horse-of-ge2025-single-issue-voting/
2. https://regardless.sg/the-cultural-crisis-no-one-talks-about-this-ge/
3. https://regardless.sg/read-between-the-lines-part-3-the-architecture-of-control/
I would greatly appreciate assistance in restoring it back to normal
I don’t have WooCommerce installed, but I have the same issue. No matter whether I have AMP active and set up, or disabled, many of my pages are empty. When AMP is active, a “mobile content” box appears in the editing window for these pages, meaning that I’m supposed to manually add separate content for mobile and desktop. I don’t want that – I want my responsive site to be responsive no matter the device. How can I get page content visible on mobile?
The site is https://answersforelders.com. A good example of a page with missing content is https://answersforelders.com/chateau-retirement-communities, which loads perfectly well on desktop, but I only get the header and footer in mobile.
Hi Bettina, I disable preatty much all plugins in website.
I leave enabled only AMP, Slider revolution and all tagdiv plugins
tagDiv Cloud Library
tagDiv Composer
tagDiv Mobile Theme
tagDiv Newsletter
tagDiv Opt-In Builder
tagDiv Shop
tagDiv Social Counter
tagDiv Standard Pack
Clean all possible caches and reload the site.
Still displaying ads.
2 thinks I did.
1. I try to search for a possible injection of ads from other account. I didn’t find anything in code, only my adsense code.
2. Remove google site kit plugin
Even removing site kit I am still able to see ALL possible ADS.
I came from another good theme to Newspaper, I really enjoy it but, I was not expecting this one! =]
Hello Lamiaa!
You can add a new page and a button with different links. For example, the link to the switching plans allows them to choose and subscribe to different plans.
You can display the available credits: https://forum.tagdiv.com/credit-system/
I hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hi there. I use Newspaper Theme, Gossip Pro prebuilt site. The comment box doesn’t appear at the end of my posts or pages. I’ve checked every area of both WP and the Theme Panel, and everywhere there’s a toggle, I’ve set it to enable/not disable comments. I don’t know what I’m missing or doing wrong. Can you help?

Hi,
This situation is a bit unusual. If anything, the website should be much faster if the images are delivered from a fast external source. I’ve seen for example cases with the ewww image optimization plugin, which can deliver images from their CDN, and the performance was improved drastically. And I’ve seen other cases with other image CDNs being used, with great results. I’m referring to websites that were also using our theme.
Testing with the composer inactive isn’t that relevant, as the pages will just be a bunch of code with no or less images. The composer is the theme.
Using lazyload should help, there’s a difference from loading all the images at once, and just the ones that are actually in view. Right now I see no lazyload active on the website. And I see that at this time the images are not served externally anymore on the website.
The problem could be with the source of the images, or something related to the offload plugin. What if its something similar to this topic https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-offload-media-lite-causing-huge-number-of-db-queries/ Are all the images offloaded? Or if you check with the query monitor plugin, is there also a high number of queries from the plugin?
Thank you!
Hello!
You can use the Ad Box shortcode to add more ads, but you can not add it to the post content, for example.
Thank you!
Hello!
The mobile theme has settings that can be found in the newspaper -> theme panel -> mobile theme. You should change it from there.
We have three options available for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. You can see your mobile version there and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Thank you!
