AMP – Custom JavaScript is not allowed. Page errors in all blog posts within google console reporting.
How to Fix?
I don’t want the mobile version for the mobile (not AMP). I just want the responsive version of desktop mode.
I am sure that, I have only selected AMP for the mobile theme.

Fir the news sites which are included in Google News the AMP version needs an standard logo size for displaying as top stories and discovered carts, is the Theme’s AMP plugin contains this setting?

i do my first steps with this theme and so far i am playing and i found how to use the grid blocks for example. But in the demo for “Fast News” i see different things under the first slider. How it’s possible to do the “Check out The Best Entertainment Systems that Will Hit the Market in June” content and the others next to each other? Or the next one with looking like columns with content inside and outside for example social media icons?
Perhaps someone can help me with this. Thank you

Hello we upgraded theme to version: 10.3.9.1. Also, we regenerated thumbnails and this solved problem with blocks/pictures at homepage. But, we still can’t see logo into header at homepage. Even we can’t upload any logo/pictures via Theme Panel/Header/Logo & Favicon. Our site is https://recepti-kuvar.rs. Thank you, best regards, Miodrag

Please try the Newspaper v10.3.9.1 with last amp version, if you are suing with the mobile theme plugin this should work, at list for me is working without problems.

Unfortunately the Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP. plugin has not been tested with Newspaper Theme !
Can you try and re-activate it and re-set it up ? Maybe there is only a tweak needed in the plugin to work.

Thanks for the response. I could not figure out the following from the mobile theme. I have gone through the documentation/googling but there is no mention of how to do it. Let me repeat my problem –
– I have AMP and Mobile theme enabled on newsmag
– As per the documentation – the mobile theme display has two sections: Grid view and List of Articles
– The List of Articles lists all the posts from all categories based on a default descending order of posts.
– I wanted to have control on what kind of posts are displayed based on Category selection.
Can I do this in the mobile theme and if yes, how do I do it?

Unfortunately we don’t have this option, but if you use for example Video Embed element edited with TagDiv Composer, then you can turn off Autoplay setting which means the video won’t run automatically with the page only if you press the button play.

Unfortunately, for the moment the grids and blocks can be use only for posts and pages. For images you need to use the image elements from tagDiv Composer https://i.imgur.com/tJ4losY.png or you can use with tagDiv Composer a column text or text with title and set in it a gallery -> https://i.imgur.com/KSQqlNu.png

Our theme do not have ad banner rotating this can be achieve only if you are using a plugin for ad rotating, for example this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/adrotate/

Thanks, it works. But don’t know why there is an “extra css” after update the theme and required plugin.
Beside, with the same website, I don’t know why it keeps showing the mobile view (again, not mobile theme and AMP) even I use Google Chrome in my desktop.

I used latest Newspaper theme version and AMP v2.0.8, but tagiv slider not working. Please take a look this AMP page > https://irfan.id/bca-sekuritas/?amp, the slide don’t move next slide image.
This error happen after AMP v2… If I switch back to AMP v1.5.5, this error didn’t happen and tagdiv slider work fine.

I’m generally familiar with the WP standard permalink formats. When we migrated content from another site this year I opted for a simpler structure. https://weteachsuccess.org/sample-post/
What I didn’t consider is how we count user engagements for grant funding reporting purposes. Now I find I have to sort through 200 rows of Google Analytics every month to identify the pages for our administrative assistant that are appropriate for her counts. I’m reluctant to change the permalink structure because it will impact all of our content and I have to research and rewrite a couple hundred 301 redirects. And it seems unlucky to tamper with the improved search traffic we have been getting. Is there a way to create what amounts to custom structure so that my articles category is denoted in some way but we don’t fuss with all of the other categories? Such as: https://weteachsuccess.org/a/sample-post/ where “a” represents a category name? Or am I asking too much of WP and perhaps I should just swallow the permalink restructure consequences? Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
The section below the author box on post template 13, shown in image below, is giving conflicting information. From my understanding, RELATED ARTICLES & MORE FROM AUTHOR means more related articles from the stated author.
The two articles in the image, though related by category, are by different authors. Is there a way for me to edit the section to filter for RELATED ARTICLES only?

1.) Have you ever tested WP Fastest Cache? What is your experience with it? Especially compared to WP Super Cache.
I have never used WP fastest Cache plugin. I believe the fonts flash you are seeing is because of this plugin. I will suggest using WP Rocket plugin or WP Super cache plugin + Autoptimize Or Fast Velocity Minify.

2.) You say that Cloudflare can be used. Is the free version useful here too?
Yes, Cloudflare can be useful when you configure it correctly. For the blog site, free version is enough. But if you want more speed, then upgrading to PRO is a good choice.
3.) What is your experience with Gzip? Is it possible that Newspaper-Theme does not work with GZIP?
Yes, I am using GZIP with a Newspaper theme, and it works without any issue.
4.) By activating plugins my database has grown a lot. In my database there is a lot of data about plugins which I don’t use anymore. Does a large database damage the loading speed?
Definitely, having large options table in database affects site loading speed. You can consider using WP Sweep plugin to keep your site’s database clean. You can also reduce size of tables by removing Orphans options from tables.
5.) A question about the part “Removing Font Awesome”. With the code snippet only the essential icons are loaded. But which icons are essential? All the ones I select in the theme?
This is no more part of Newspaper theme optimization.
6.) You write that there is also a funcion.php for the mobile theme.
Is it possible to overwrite it with a child theme or do you have to add new entries after every update?
For example: Removing Emojis, Removing Font Awesome, or Preload Newspaper fonts.
Unfortunately, you can not overwrite mobile theme’s functions.php file using child theme. Hope, tagDiv team will fix this soon.
7.) There are several ways to add custom CSS. Where do you think it makes the most sense? In the Theme panel under Custom Code? Or rather under WordPress Design > Customizer?
Well, that is completely your choice. Adding CSS in theme panel or customizer will add it as inline CSS code on page. I prefer adding them to child theme’s style.css.

I tried it again with every plugin deactivated and activated them step by step. I think I have found the plugin causing the issue. It’s Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP. With it deactivated everything including the tagDiv ones is working fine. But I don’t know why that happended after using Newspaper 10.3.8 and higher. With 10.3.7 every plugin is working fine.
Just in case here is my System Status: To be clear, I’m using caching but not with a plugin, instead I use server caching for it.
