Hi everyone,

I had to reinstall the Newspaper theme and deactivated in order the plugins that came with the theme.

Now I have a issue with AMP sites. As soon as I activate the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, the AMP plugin disappears. Although it’s still installed and activated, I cannot access it anymore (the WP-admin menu link disappears and also the direct link does not work anymore). If I deactivate tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, it’s working fine again. But, of course, I need them both.

Can you please help me with that issue? Thanks a lot in advance.

I have a problem with the sidebar on my site. Do not appear on the left, but it is appearing after posting, next to the footer.

Hi,
I activated the Mobile Theme and AMP. Settings are on Mobile+AMP.
Unfortunately there are no photos or images displayed on any page. Except on posts.
The AMP settings are as shown in your documentation/tutorial, but still no photos.
Maybe I just forgot a box to tick somewhere?

All the AMP settings for the website from theme panel has been done successfully as found in the documentation, but still getting error when trying to add /?amp at the end of url. Unable to understand whether amp is working or not?

I’m writing because of two problems we’re getting in a clean Newspaper installation:

1) In the category template we have included a post loop block to show all the child articles with a ‘load more’ button, but when we click on it, the new set of loaded posts is exactly the same group of articles that were already shown. This happens with any kind of pager: conventional paging (1, 2, 3…), next/prev AJAX buttons, and load more button (this last one is the solution we want to use).

2) When updating a post already published we get a message “The response is not a valid JSON response”. Specifically, we were trying to set the main category of each post in the template selector.

We’ve updated to the latest version of WordPress (5.4) and Newspaper (10.3) but the problem remains. We write an email to contact@tagdiv.com with the access to the site and the details aswell.

I’d like to leave some suggestions for new updates, and also some serious bugs I’m seeing in the theme (latest version).

ERRORS

1. If we’re not using a custom header: The logo is set by default as H1. This is a very serious error, most posts and pages now have several H1s, due to this error. In addition, the H1 in the logo is image based, it doesn’t make sense, it’s absurd.

2. Cloud templates, the cloud templates for categories, are not resposives. If we use the tagdiv mobile plugin, the cloud templates do not work. This doesn’t make sense either, at present, 90% of web traffic is from mobile sources. It is useless to have a perfect design in PC, if then in Mobile we cannot use it.

3. Header cloud , when editing with tagdiv composer the header cloud, in many occasions the changes are not saved properly, it hangs while saving.

4. The H2 / H3 tag in the “Flex Blok 1” block with a div composer tag cannot be removed. You need to add another option, it doesn’t make sense that this content is H2 or H3, it’s a SEO error.

5. In “Flex Blok 1” and in all other blocks, of tag div composer, the links to the content are duplicated. For example, if I show my articles, each article has 2/3 links to the same site. A link in the image (error) and a link in the title (this if ok). So there are a lot of meaningless, useless links that are stealing link juice.

6. All templates created with the cloud are indexed by default. This is a serious SEO error, they should be NOINDEX by default.

SUGGESTIONS

1. It is very important to improve the rendering speed. This will make the total load faster, much faster. The render is one of the most important parts of the load, analyzed by google.

2. Many templates have been added lately (e.g. Coronavirus). But it has been a long time since anything seo has been worked on. It would be great to have one or two templates for SEO (SEO Agencies / SEO Services).

I hope all this serves to improve the theme. The errors mentioned may not be serious at a structural level, but they are very serious at the SEO level of a website.

Working on the mobile Theme.

1) i with to remove “Latest Article” here on the image “Ultimi Articoli” title from the homepage

2) delete categories and “post count” from the single post

3) delete grey space after the post

4) I am using taboola ads, but they don’t show up at the end of the post as they supposed to load, they have furnished me 3 element code (head foot) plus main code for ads. I’ve implemented successfully all of them in the desk theme, but not able to implement that in the mobile theme

GA is showing multiple URLs for the same articles. One of them appears to be a Google Amp url, but the page is not Amp optimized.

even we didn’t implement AMP on the site but all URL’s showing ?amp=1 with

I also hit the save button for the permalinks again but no success. Please let me know how to fix it.

Hi everyone,

I just installed Newspaper theme on my blog (replacing a previous template). And for whatever reason, my blog posts don’t show up in the expecting categories in the menu. Some posts do, some don’t. Some categories are totally empty, some are quite full and some other have 1 o 2 posts instead of 10 for example. I tried all day to fix that, trying the following :

– I checked in the back office if my menu was still ok, uploaded it again in case, no changes.
– I created new categories to move on the missing posts into it, but it doesn’t appear either in there.
– I know the missing posts are still available somewhere on the blog, coz I find them when I use the Search bar.
– I tried to tick the categories box again inside the missing posts, no changes.
– And the most bizarre : if I tag a post from a category inside another one, this one empty, I finally see a post appearing, but not the one I just tagged. The post appearing is one belonging to the empty category, and who wasn’t available previously, wt*** ? Unfortunately, the post won’t remain if I untagged the first post belonging to the other category. I really don’t get it.

I guess my back office and the Newspaper template don’t speak properly together. Maybe this could be fixed quickly inside the code but I don’t code at all unfortunately. If you have any idea how to solve this issue, I’m in and thank in advance !

Hi i want to create a mega menu like “sample mega menu.jpg: image.
How can i do below?
1. when i hover on “vinno” all sub menu will be visible.
2. First category of submenu will be visible horizontally and second category of submenu will be visible vertically like “sample mega menu.jpg”
