Hi,
I don’t think the page speed results are quite accurate for the time being, there is not enough data it seems
– http://prntscr.com/ng3puw
From what I know, now the testing method will take into account each users experience on the website and make an average. So despite the website being loaded quite fast
– http://prntscr.com/ng3ugp and being mobile friendly – http://prntscr.com/ng3umk the Google tests results may be different based on the website visitors experience. There are some details about it at point 2 here – https://www.searchenginejournal.com/mobile-page-speed-changes/272221/
A plus to have is also AMP, the mobile theme can be used together with AMP.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately I’m can not see your screenshot -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qurH8oRm9i5
The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
If you want the responsive version and amp you should use this opinion -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jZct5ueBqOrb but if you have amp activate on pages you’ll need to create in Mobile editor a content for AMP version of page.
Also please check our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
I think that you are referring to those 3 blocks, for those you’ll need to have set seam feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
You’ll need to add some post in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you do not have this category you can create it, just make sure that you set the category name to be
Featured
Let me know if you have more questions!
Thank you!
You could edit them there, but the modification will have to made again after each update.
I’m pretty sure you know, that even plugin files can be overwritten? Have a look at the Satollo newsletter plugin, for example.
That would be the case, the child theme is quite limited after the recent update.
Thank you very much for killing one of the most fundamental features of a WordPress theme. This is probably the worst update next to WordPress 5.0 introducing Gutenberg.
Those options were introduced in theme update 9.6 – http://prntscr.com/ng3al9
If they do not appear in your case then it would mean an older theme version is used.
If you should consider to update the theme to the latest version, note that there were some important changes made to the theme in 9.7, here is a topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/important-new-update-newspaper-9-7/
In that topic version 9.6.1 can be downloaded, if you are not yet ready to update to 9.7 or wish to test more before updating.
So for example you could update to 9.6.1 in order to use the new ad box options. Here is a guide if needed – https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
Let me know if you have more questions.
Hi,
If the mobile theme plugin is active, what is displayed on mobile will be a different from desktop. For example the mobile homepage will display a top grid with 3 featured posts (if there are any) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Below that grid will be a latest articles section. The mobile theme is specially created for mobiles, it is faster than the default responsive theme version. Other pages will be empty on mobile, if there is no content entered in the mobile editor for each page
– http://prntscr.com/ng341f
Here you can read more about it – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Regarding that border, from what I can see the top bar is empty (no login, no weather no socials etc). You could disable it entirely if you do not want to display any elements in it – http://prntscr.com/ng373y and the problem will be solved.
The “Read more” that the block uses cannot be disabled. You could use a different type of block, maybe a flex block (these have an show/hide “Read more” button setting).
Here are some block designs made by us that can be imported with the cloud library plugin
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks (they are all flex blocks).
However if you want to keep using block 24 and wish to remove the button there is a solution. I could give you a code to remove it – http://prntscr.com/ng3941
Enter this code in the Theme panel->Custom code-> CSS code section
.td_block_24 .td_module_19 .td-read-more {
display: none;
}
If you want to keep the block and the button but change the text it displays, you can translate it in the Theme panel->Translations settings – http://prntscr.com/ng39vz
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
You need to use the above example to make only one row to be sticky when you scroll down will appear the sticky menu, then you’ll need to edit it with tagDiv Composer ( in your case you’ll need to remove one row ).
Thank you!
I understand about filtering and working with the blocks, but that’s not my question.
My question is: can the ajax menu across the top of a block be set to show the categories with latest posts?
Example: When I input specific category IDs into the filter, those categories then appear in order along the ajax menu. But I don’t want them to appear in the order I have input them. Instead I want them to appear in order of what categories have latest posts. And I want that ajax menu to automatically change the order of categories in relation to which categories have just published a latest post.
I just ran Site Scan and it detected 3 files that include that java script:
Please check the results: https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/https/www.wentdiary.com/top-17-things-to-do-in-oklahoma-city/
This is the full code of malware script that I found:
<script type="text/javascript" src="//dolohen.com/apu.php?zoneid=2466565"></script>
<script src="//joophesh.com/ntfc.php?p=2497056&tco=1" data-cfasync="false" async></script>
Hi Team, after installing the latest update 9.7 via FTP. I got 2 error messages “warning: cannot modify header information – headers already sent by “Pluggable.php” and the other generated from the plugin “mobile booster”. I will revert back to the previous version via FTP tonight BUT, I am sure I am not the only exception to the universe? I will send screenshots as well. I can’t do it right now. Can admin help here?
this is a sample of what I am getting but is not my specific one

Other than using CSS, is there a way to change the header color globally? For example, if you set a title for a sidebar widget, the title of the widget. Can you change that background color? I know that for the TD Blocks you can change the color there, but is there a way to do it in the theme panel?
As we’ve been tackling this here for our corp. site revamp, I thought I’d share this quick bit of commentary I also just shared to somebody’s question about ADA COMPLIANCE and the fact it’s becoming “a big deal” here in the U.S..
———————————
TL:DR — There is an ADA compliance plugin for WordPress worth looking at.
However, some stuff might be considered questionable; for example for ADA Compliance, it’s likely bad form to continue using title tags for images in addition to alt tags, even though we’ve been doing that for SEO for years, and because some of us like the hover function for a label.
However, this (title tags on images) should now be abandoned as bad for ADA, and really useless for SEO (basically start using proper captions under photos all the time!).
Stuff like that. Some of the ADA compliance stuff is, ironically, already included in the ‘audit’ usability score stuff in Chrome/Lighthouse — this is where some of that tap target and stuff too tiny to read warnings come from.
So I’ve been telling folks
(1) run audit for BEST PRACTICES with Chrome (F12 – audit) and learn what the stuff means to get 100% ‘usability’ score; if you don’t have 100% score then you are likely not going to be ADA compliant, and it’s a thing to have best usability possible for Google
(2) run the ADA Compliance plugin for WordPress to at least start looking at options — https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-ada-compliance-check-basic/
(I have no relationship to the TagDiv folks other than having been around here since they launched; and have no relationship to the plugin noted)
QUOTE from the plugin noted above:
Why use the WP ADA Compliance Plugin?
It’s the law! In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to require Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. This law applies to all Federal agencies, some state and local agencies as well as any entity creating websites for applicable agencies.
There is also a strong business case for accessibility. Studies show that accessible websites have better search results, reduced maintenance costs, and increased audience reach. All of which increases profit margin for a business.

Hello guys,
I’ve recently bought the Newspaper theme and I really want to experience it more and work with it better but I’ve just bumped into a problem.
I don’t know what’s the best ration and dimension for the Featured Picture of every posts. I’ve tried different dimensions but I couldn’t find anything that actually works best as most of the images are badly cropped. I know about “Block Settings” but I was unable to find which one is for Featured Pictures.
For an example you can enter one of my posts and see exactly what I’m talking about:
Can some of you guys help me out please?
It seems like it is not properly working. It shows randomly the AMP version on desktop (Google pagespeed insights shows that error https://imgur.com/a/sUEFj0O)
Can you help me to debug that problem?
Hello!
Something is not clear for me. If I want AMP version just for mobile, not for desktop, what option should I select?
Hi,
Since upgrading Newspaper to the latest version I’ve had nothing but trouble.
I now get messages saying
tagDiv Composer Outdated /
tagDiv Cloud Library Outdated /
tagDiv Social Counter Outdated /
I have disabled them, re-enabled & still same message, I have now removed them & re-installed the plugins and still get the same message – WHAT IS HAPPENING.
Hi Tagdiv, presently on my website imontreal.ca on the homepage and across all category pages, example: <a https://www.imontreal.ca/category/montreal-places/ there are counts for how many comments an article has, which are all zero all the time since I do not allow for comments. Clearly I want to get rid of this number zero for all the articles on my website but I cannot find how to do it in the Admin backend. Can you please tell me how to get rid of all these number zeroes all across the articles on my category pages. Thanks, imontreal.ca
I have tried an unmodified child theme, so no changes to the functions.php or style.css with the same result.
I do not understand why this does not work after your changes for Envato, if you are correct that means we have to choose between a child theme or AMP with all Envato themes. Hope you get it working in next release.
Still love the theme…
Hi,
As far as I know the old dedicated AMP plugin can still be used. The current solution is however the official AMP plugin, this can be used with the mobile theme. Adsense ads can be used with the AMP+mobile theme. Or even if you don’t use the mobile theme and just the AMP plugin, for example like mentioned here
– https://isabelcastillo.com/google-adsense-wordpress-amp
The previous td-amp plugin was based on the official AMP plugin, I believe version 0.7.2 was used. Now as the latest up to date AMP plugin can be used, things should be better in my opinion (I am no expert in the matter), not worse.
I found some other possible explanations for revenue drops

Hi,
Unfortunately the video playlist do not have dis option, sorry.
What you can do is to take the url from a YouTube playlist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S98gtynShg&list=RD-S98gtynShg&start_radio=1&t=0&t=49 and set it a a column text in page -> https://www.screencast.com/t/swA1m89hXZZO
Results -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xjsbVljfoTXy
Thank you!
Hi,
I did see something like that on some websites, but I didn’t check how it was made. Surely there are solutions, try search online, for example
– https://css-tricks.com/reading-position-indicator/
– https://www.magnet4blogging.net/add-reading-progress-bar/
If these don’t work try some more.
Thanks
Hi,
The AMP that we are currently using is the official WP AMP plugin, if you want to have the same content for mobile like on desktop, please use the option “AMP” -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LzBlkKBDDC3C in this way you’ll need to set only the content for in mobile editor for the page were you want to have amp ( also you can disabled the amp from some pages/posts https://www.screencast.com/t/41BpELXw or from all pages https://www.screencast.com/t/a2lRwhU4M2 ).
If you want to deactivate them -> https://www.screencast.com/t/dPZL1DA9x
Thank you!
