How can I tell which page styles are in use?

I want to know which post styles are in use so I can delete the CSS for unused styles, to made the style file smaller.
I know I run the risk of selecting a style that I’ve removed the stylesheet for, but I am OK with that risk, because I’m fairly sure I have only allowed three styles. – I just want to prove it.

Also, I want to work our which modules and other block I’m using / not using, so I can delete the unused stylesheet information.

I have already tried minifying the stylesheets and I already compress them, but I want to try to make more improvements. Minifying the 876K stylesheet makes it 648K.

It would be a great thing if there was a way to have the stylesheet consisting of many small parts, that are then joined together to make the production stylesheet.

Hello,

In order to control the block settings, please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
There are a lot of different ways you can avoid duplication on your homepage. You can chose different categories fort blocks, different sorting options, you can use offsets or you can use the unique articles option: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/

Thank you!

Hello,

Unfortunately you cannot as the mobile theme does not use visual composer in order to provide the best loading times. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you want to have blocks on your mobile version you can simply disable the mobile theme plugin and use the standard responsive version of the theme.

Thank you!

Hello,

You can create any page using visual composer and set it up as a shop page. Here is an example of a custom page built in visual composer for a shop: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_tech/shop/
Woocommerce ads blocks in visual composer you can use on any page: http://screencast.com/t/3c3awjKIiA

Hi,

Everything was fine until we updated Visual Composer to new version. Now the sidebar is not working on the homepage.

Please see here: http://www.israellycool.com/

For the Homepage, I have used Visual Composer. I have a 2/3+1/3 layout with a Block 11 and Widgetized Sidebar.

Any ideas what has gone wrong?

Regards,
David

The text above says “The blockqopte color can be set separately from here: http://screencast.com/t/ChmofAOcHWC3”. I have set that one to the same as my Theme Accent Colour, but the dropcap still gets gray. One CSS changed changed my dropcap colour permanently.

Hello,

In order to make the homepage a static page first, you need to create a new page then set it as a home page in wp settings: http://screencast.com/t/rjP1jeSN
You can customize your pages in visual composer. This is done on the page edit screen by pressing the back-end editor. You can add blocks to your site that way and the block settings will pop-up once you place a block on your page. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/

I hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi !

I’d like to use variety of quotes shortcodes for my post. But where is the shortcode reference that will go in the text editor to display the ones shown in demo :

http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/blockquotes-pullquotes/

In the text editor (Classic Mode), I only see video, smartlist and button shortcodes only.

How can I implement box quotes, pullquotes with left or right alignment ?

Hello,
Try this code:
.td_block_big_grid_10 .td-module-meta-info{
display:none;
}
.td_block_big_grid_10 .td-module-title a{
padding:2px;
}

Thanks.

Hi team,

I have done some custom CSS on title and text blocks on my home page (drbillsukala.com.au). They look fine on a laptop but when I look at the page on my Android phone (in both Chrome and Firefox browsers), the text is extremely small (as if the CSS is not being recognised).

Note, I am NOT using the mobile theme. Only the responsive feature.

Is there a separate CSS file for responsive/mobile rendering that I am not aware of? If so, do I just need to add my code from my CSS file (child them) to a different style sheet?

Thanks

I spoke too soon. The latest posts block that you see here: http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/1487206/d4789525847bdc8b3e1cc4f2ad2affa0 is at the bottom of my home page.

I cannot edit or delete this block.

I switched to a footer with no content and I turned off the footer: http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/1487210/0064eccc5e1eebb81bfb479c01d6afa4

All of my widget areas are empty: http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/1487216/248d641870a04553519f123d124b2411

Where is this block coming from and how do I delete it?

The page is http://staging3.maxlaxoc.com

TIPS for those on this topic

a) make sure any divs/classes don’t have “ad” in them …

b) try selling locally loaded text/graphic ads not loaded from any ‘known’ ad network.

Trying to make Adsense work on website to fight adblocker not possible.

Hello Alin [tagDiv]
Thank you for your contribution !
I read and I loved your idea, but I found a solution:
I created a sidebar with automatic generation of sidebar of the theme admin panel, and then I used the shortcode Bogdan B. to display the generated sidebar that contains the block 4 and it works very well. Now I can put any blocks in my sidebar generated, under the posts, it will be well displayed without losing the style. I do not know if it is a clean tip, but you can tell me. Otherwise, it works very well.
Thank you for everything !
cordially

Thank You for the reply! My site is citycampus.gr and i am trying to customize it. After having read You instructions, i suppose i am referring to block settings indeed. To become more clear: Home page of site is actually showing the posts of the site. I need to make this first page a page with multiple categories, each showing 4 or 5 latest posts of each category. I suppose i can do that with the block setting. I am confused and i cant find it where block settings is. I mean i go to theme panel and then??? Under where is block settings?
Thanks!

Hi,

You will need custom modifications for this as the tagdiv blocks will not be displayed properly if you plave a sidebar bellow the post content and we cannot help you with this, sorry. I can provide you a solution how to place a custom sidebar there. After you create a custom sidebar – http://screencast.com/t/0GxyKtAAeSom you can use this code to display it in the post template/style that you use – http://screencast.com/t/tHxg8F13F9b But like I said the tagdiv blocks will not be displayed properly, so I recommend Bogdan’s solution using shortcodes.

<?php dynamic_sidebar('sidebar's name'); ?>

Thanks!

Hi,

I also check this and it seems that the the RSS block title it doesn’t change the color and by default is white like in your case. I have added this on our list for further investigations and we will try to fix it as soon as possible.
You can try this custom css to change the color in this case – http://screencast.com/t/zmI9xfTEpnu

.vc_wp_rss .widgettitle .rsswidget {
color: #060087;
}

Thanks!

Hello,

You can try to use this css code:
.td_block_big_grid_10 .td-module-title a, .td_block_big_grid_10 .td-post-date{
background-color: #bd7225;
}

result: http://screencast.com/t/VUW87RhgsPe4

You can add the code in the theme panel-custom css box.

Thank you!

Hello,

Assuming that block1 is the one you want to change, you can use this css to do it:
.td_block_big_grid_1 .td_module_mx5 .td-module-thumb{
border: 5px solid yellow;
}

You can add the code in the theme panel->custom css box.

Thank you!

Hello,

The code was changed in newspaper 7.3 especially the visual composer implementation. This was done to improve the overall speed and to add new features as mentioned in our changelog on our themeforest page: https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 You can now access the block design options and add padding to any block in visual composer from block settings.

Thank you!
