@Karsten Albrektsen Each block, grid, full grid displays the thumbnail/image differently. This depends on image aspect ration and module used

Try different grids until you get the result you want and is best for the images you use as featured.

Block 9 does not display an excerpt if that is what you are referring to. The easiest way to achieve that layout would be to use the flex block

I don’t know what you actually did there with the future date for published posts. Maybe that is causing problems with the block sorting.
I have tested a block with an oldest sort and I can confirm that the sorting works properly

Not all modules have excerpts included. The smaller ones usually do not have them because of layout issues. There was no space to squeeze a small excerpt and still have the block look good so it was not added to the module to begin with. If you want excerpts on all blocks, choose the ones that come with excerpts by default as there is no option to add excerpts to the modules that do not have them except by altering the php code.

1. The default grid style (all grids) does have a darker gradient over the bottom part of the image, I believe this is to make the post title and meta more visible when lighter images are used

Anyway you could remove it with some CSS if not required, or maybe change the style of the grid

Since you removed it, what would you like to do now with the grid exactly? I will try to help you.

You can use any of the grids, full grids and blocks in that page. Choose the ones you like. For the article title colors I could give you a code once you choose the elements you want to use.
I believe there are plans to add a color setting for the article titles in modules, in a future update.

3. Maybe that look could be achieved with the flex blocks. Those blocks are not predefined, so they can be set to display in many ways. With their settings and maybe some additional CSS you could get that result or similar.

Sorry but there are no settings to alter the next prev pagination on blocks. It can only be done with custom css. if you provide more details to how you want them with screenshots, maybe we can offer a css code that can come close to the design you are after.
