Hi,
This problem is not a general one, it depends on more factors, for example we saw that users with strong cache plugin like litespeed, W3 Total.
If you want, you can contact us via email and will check the mobile menu.
Also, soon will be a new theme update and maybe then you’ll no longer have this problem, we hope to be the next week.

Hi,
The problem from the homepage appears only when you are not logged it? If is so, then it is possible to be from some cache.
If the problem persist, when you are logged in, then please make a test using only tagDiv plugins and see if the problem is still there.
Let me know the results!

Hi,
If the problem is the theme panel, and when you click on save button there is an infinite loading icon, then most probably something it is blocking the admin-ajax request, this can be checked using the console.
Also check to do not have an object cache on backend.
In case that you checked all those and the problem persist, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com. Make a full backup for your website and provide wp-admin and cPanel access via email and provide as many details as you can about the problem.
Thank you!

hello Colleagues,
after I update theme to 11.4.2 from 11.4 the landing page / front page only displays the shortcodes instead of actual content
my website was working fine until this update,
I have updated all my TagDiv plug-in s including composer, cleared all cache and disabled cloudflare
nothing is working
however, individual post pages are working fine with the update

Hi,
The posts that are set as a video format are not working correctly (the popup is not display) because those do not have set a video link -> https://i.imgur.com/UIXz1Me.png -> https://i.imgur.com/0VDff4l.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/

1.The font is set, but it is not apply, like this is not existing and it is used a rendered font -> https://i.imgur.com/JpA1w9d.png
This font is not apply even for the desktop version -> https://i.imgur.com/ObzGEZE.png
What I can suggest is to use one of the fonts that you had uploaded in the theme panel.

6. Now when I checked the option for the unique articles was disabled -> https://i.imgur.com/uQ4e8g0.png but normally when that option it is enabled there should be no duplicate posts display at the first load of page (if you have infinite loading, pagination, then will appear duplicates when you use them).
I enabled the option and I made a few tests, but I didn’t cache that problem from the screenshot. I will make some more test on my install. Maybe the problem appears in different situations.

Thank you!

There is no button. I’ve been using Newspaper since about version 7 or 8, so I know my way around the theme. I activated Travel Guides, but I had no way to change the category headers, and Composer seems to have disappeared. It is NOT on the first page although I am logged in, of course. I changed themes to NFT, and there’s still no button. I’ve refreshed the cache, regenerated images (just in case), and there’s nothing. I even disabled the anti-Gutenberg plugins, and still nothing. I am way overdue in relaunching my site and this is very frustrating. All I want is for Composer to work reliably.

Hello Marta!

1. I couldn’t connect with those credentials. Also, please do not share it in the forum because it is not a private area.
If you use mobile pages, then make sure you set up this font there too for all your elements. Please note that the font you choose to add on your site must have the font-weight available otherwise the font weight will not work. Please check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/

6. I’ve tested on my end and this is working well. Please make a test and deactivate the extra plugins (non tagdiv), the cache plugin which you use and see the results.

7. We will take in consideration your query for the future.

Thank you!

Hello!

I recommend you to update plugins and the theme via file transfer, so that you don’t face any error: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Install the Standard Pack plugin if you use the default templates.
Deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser) and see the results.
Check this guide too: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/

Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Hi Bettina 🙂

Actually, you can see the problem for yourself by going to your own “Gourmet Pro” theme, which is the one I downloaded my demo content from. If you hover over every single ad image you have in your theme, you will see that the ad “link” is to what ever page you are viewing the ad on. To replicate my problem, simply go into your settings of the “Gourmet Pro” theme and try to change/create the affiliate link for just one of your image ads.

That is how it is in my theme. I have done everything properly, according to your documentation, and saved it and cleared the cache, but the image ad will ONLY link to whatever page it is viewable on. And when I go back into the settings, the link is always gone as if I never input it in the first place.

Hello, Thank your for your reply! I did some further investigations and it looks like the actual culprit was my cache plugin. I’ve changed some of it’s settings and seems that it behaves properly now. Thank you for your support and sorry to have bother you.

Hello,

Please check if you have an object cache file stored on your server.
We have a guide on how to check the Object Cache if is applied on Backend -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
If the problem is not solved after this, we can take a look at this and investigate why is not working for you. Contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
–wp-admin URL/ cPanel/FTP and credentials
– a link to this topic to identify you

Thank you!

Hi,
I do not think the problem is with the cache, if it was from it, then the post would no longer appear, nut just the AFC data.
As far as I know there is no hook on WP post editor, but there may be some conditions related to the publish/update button from the WP posts.
Thank you!

Hello,

Please deactivate the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin, clear all cache and check if the error is still displayed.

Hi Calin,

I have done some more testing, here is what I did and what I found.
Test Environment – new WordPress install

Theme & Plugin

  • TagDiv Newspaper theme 11
  • Advanced Custom Fields
            – to add two text fields to the posts “source_domain” & “source_link” both text fields.
  • FakerPress – to add test posts.

Test process

  • used FakerPress to create 5 test posts. These posts do not contain any data in the ACF fields.added ACF field data to 2 posts via WP post editor.
  • added ACF field data to the remaining 3 posts directly to the WP Database _postmeta table using phpMyAdmin.checked all posts via WP post editor to confirm ACF field data was correctly inserted.
  • updated 1 of the 3 direct entry posts using WP post editor.

Conclusion.
Viewing the posts using the TagDiv Newspaper theme 11 and displaying the ACF field data, in the post template as as described using [acf field=”source_domain”] I saw:

  • first 2 posts, created using the WP post editor  – displayed the ACF field data correctly.
  • next 2 posts, where ACF field data were entered directly into the database did NOT show any ACF field data.
  • last post where ACF field data was entered directly into the database, then post updated using WP post editor- displayed the  ACF field data correctly.

So it seems that the theme will only show the  ACF field data if the post has been entered or updated via the WP post editor. This is very frustrating as it means that other plugins that enter data directly into the database do not work as intended.

Additionally, when tested with Elementor and a basic WP theme using PHP it works fine.

Have you placed a hook on the WP post editor,  to update a cache or something similar?
