Hi,
I suggest disabling all the plugins (including the minification plugin) except the ones bundled with the theme to rule out any interference with the theme functionality. There should be no problems if you are using only there plugins. Also check any modifications you might have made to the theme files and disable the child theme if you use it. If the notice is still there you should do a fresh theme install and use only the plugins provided with the theme and check if the problem is solved. Then enable your plugins one at a time to most likely find the one responsible.
Thanks
Hello martinhenych,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have checked with the child theme and speed booster, sorry! The Speed Booster is optimized only for Main Theme. If you want to display more levels in our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelnacer.developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for the message!
Hello probably that is problem. Now it works, when I switch it to non child theme. But it is real problem, we need child theme, because there is many changes and in future we will have to update your theme. Can you recommend us what to do? Without child theme it is not proper way. Thank you.
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Also check your memory allocation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
Hello Ace,
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, you should use only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files. The theme update should have to be done via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case, according to our guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ Also, if you are using the child theme, switch it to the main theme and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Ace,
I have noticed that you are using the child theme and that’s could be a reason for non-alignment for your elements. Try to revert the theme to the default state, clear all your caches, switch it to the main theme and check the results.
Hope this help and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Ace,
I noticed that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme and cause this problem and also, I saw that you are using the child theme which can be a reason in this case. Try to switch the theme to the main version, clear all your caches and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
Pleas switch to the main theme as I suspect you use a child theme and you have pagebuilder + latest articles in the child theme. This will not work from the child theme so please do not use that file in the child theme.
If this is not the issue please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate. Also provide ftp access and a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thank you!
I am encountering a problem with the styles of our childtheme. We are using Newspaper 7 atm and we have loaded in the sample childtheme of the Newspaper. It is activated and fully working. I can add functions into the functions.php and they work just fine. As soon as I want to change some styles though nothing happens.
It seems that the theme is not taking the styles in.
As soon as I remove the function which is getting both styles, from parent and child, the child css is working but as you can imagine the other styles are not.
So it seems that there is a problem with your function which is merging the styles?
We did not change anything in there.
Any suggestions how to get the styles working?
Hi,
That is a default ad size so it should be there from the start, and the code used in the theme file seems valid. Try to disable all the plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and purge cdn files if used. Also check any custom code you might have entered in theme panel or added to the theme files, and deactivate the child theme if you have one.
Thanks

Hi,
@Hivvu If you tried disabling all (very important) the plugins except Visual composer, cleared the cache maybe something else if interfering with the theme js. Try disabling the child theme and check any custom code you may have added in theme panel, or to the theme files. Also make sure you use the latest version of the bundled plugins (I see you are using the speed booster plugin)
Thanks

hello,
Can i create a new template which show posts list as table instead of using div grid ? complete with pagination ?
If you could not help to create, please let me know what should i edit, or what files do i have to create child theme ?
Thank you
Hello,
Sorry but that file will not work from the child theme for the moment. You will have to make the modification in the main theme.
Thank you!
That’s easy enough, but during the next theme update — bam! All of this reverts to the original. Is there a way to do this with a child theme, or does this still apply?
With time we plan to add support for files located in the core framework of the theme (the /wp_booster/ folder).
Hello,
Your issue is not related to plugins it seems but rather to the second part of my reply:
Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Your css is minified and it seems it breaks the menu. Please restor the theme to the default code and disable any at all tools you use for minification or optimization.
Thank you!

Hi Bogdan,
unfortunately it’s still not working.
I have made some changes thanks to your hint above. However, that option didn’t work well so I used
one of the methods found here https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/35101
So I pasted this php code below to my child-theme function.php file and it seems to make my newly images point to the media link as you can see on the screenshot here https://1drv.ms/i/s!AkIZ0iKtBNnXmdlLTUt0Wu5r-E3hdg
add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'default_attachment_display_settings' );
function default_attachment_display_settings() {
update_option( 'image_default_align', 'none' );
update_option( 'image_default_link_type', 'file' );
}
So I think there is a deeper issue I am having with Newspaper light box when enabled globally as I thought of in the first place.
Please have a look and let me know what else to try in order to get this working
Thank you
Thank you, Catalin. I do fully understand how the mobile theme works, and it works great. My question was only related to whether I could preserve any changes I make to the mobile theme’s functions.php file following a theme update. Because there is a function I have created that needs to appear in posts displayed using both the “normal: and the mobile theme, I need to add that function to the mobile theme’s functions.php file. I was hoping to be able to use my child theme’s functions.php for that so my changes would not be overwritten after an update but given your response, I will just make sure to keep a backup of /mobile/functions.php so I can restore my mods after a theme update. Thanks!
Hello,
It seems the black color is coming from your end. The theme css does not apply as it is rewritten by either a custom css in the theme panel or a plugin css.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
