Only cloud templates can have mobile versions. There is no way to have different templates desktop vs mobile in other ways unfortunately.

The post template you are using now is the default standard template, meaning this one -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016/

The equivalent cloud template for it is this one -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_pro/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-chic-and-fashionable-women-of-new-york-city/

They look pretty similar.

So you could just import the cloud template that looks similar -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/single/Single/11 and with minimal customization the cloud template will look very close to the default template. And then you can have a mobile version for it.

That’s great news. Please don’t worry about it, after some practice everything will be much easier and clearer.

The posts should indeed be unique.

And that’s exactly what a post template does, it loads the post information and displays it. So right now the post template contains the post title placeholder and the post content placeholder. All the posts that use that template will display their title and their content.

You can add more things in the template if you want, or create a sidebar. You could check the post templates from our cloud library -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single Any of those can be imported on the website.

Let me know if I can help more.

Thank you!

Hi,

It looks like there’s a bit of a mix up with the headers. That’s an overlay header. Please import -> https://prnt.sc/ndMaVMxuRVyK this header from the cloud library -> https://prnt.sc/UxajSLtwf62h Then set it globally -> https://prnt.sc/2Pi58A91Ei2v

If maybe you also want such pages (built with wordpress) to have a wider width, you can stretch them in the theme panel -> https://prnt.sc/gz9FS8leP0VR You can also set a sidebar if you want, or make the content full width -> https://prnt.sc/lJuvsujaSuQ8

Let me know in case there are other issues.

No problem.

To use a mobile post template, then first you must use a cloud post template. Please import and use a cloud post template https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/ Then you can create a mobile version for it. Please try it.

Hi,

@sunlandtexas

Such things are not actually issues. As you can see, we provide a multitude of post templates, each with different designs and layouts -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single Some display a smaller featured image, some display a larger featured image. And of course, any of them can be customized with the composer to achieve the desired result. You can also make your own post template if you want.

On your website I see you are currently using a default backup post template. I believe you used to use a standard template before, which looked like this for example https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/15-grooming-techniques-every-man-needs-to-know/ Isn’t there an error on your post pages when you are logged in as an admin?

Please activate this plugin -> https://prnt.sc/7FllpDqBdZ2K It is required if you used the standard templates on your website.

Thank you!

Hi,

Some post types created by plugins will not accept using our cloud templates, and it won’t matter if you set a cloud template for them. The post type appears in the cloud library because our theme detects it, but that doesn’t mean that a cloud template will work for it.

Such plugins may have their own specific templates that must be used, and their own methods for customizing them. Usually if you want to customize a single event template from a plugin, it requires creating a php file and using code. The plugin should have documentation for how to do this.

I’m afraid that the theme can’t force a template for an event created by a plugin. I suggest looking into how the plugin template can be customized or how a new custom one can be created.

Thank you!

Hello tagDiv Support Team,

I am experiencing a critical issue regarding the assignment of a custom Cloud Library template to a Custom Post Type (CPT) on my Newspaper installation (Version 12.7.6).

Context:
I am using the plugin “Stachethemes Event Calendar” which registers the CPT “stec_event” (URL slug: /veranstaltung/).

The Issue:
1. When navigating to Newspaper Theme Panel -> CPT & TAXONOMY -> “Termine (stec_event)”, there are no dropdown options available to assign a “Post Cloud Library Template”. It only shows options for Breadcrumbs, Taxonomies, and Sidebars.
2. Under Newspaper Theme Panel -> Categories -> “Events”, I assigned my custom template under “POST CLOUD LIBRARY TEMPLATE”, but this setting is completely ignored on the live event pages because WordPress prioritizes the CPT structure.
3. When trying to use the modern way via Cloud Templates -> CPT/Taxonomies -> Termine (single), the template list is empty. Even if I import a “Blank – Custom Post Type” template, I am forced to manually rebuild the entire layout using CPT shortcodes.

My Goal:
I already have a beautifully designed template that contains standard elements like [tdb_single_content]. I simply want this existing template to be applied globally to all URLs containing the “/veranstaltung/” slug, so that the Stachethemes content is loaded dynamically inside my custom layout.

Why can’t I select my custom Single Post template for this CPT inside the Theme Panel? How can I enforce my existing layout onto this specific post type without having to rebuild it from scratch?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

If the website is hacked, malware can be added in pretty much any files from the website folder.

I checked the website on mobile and its still redirecting for me sometimes, I ended up on some kind of gaming website now https://prnt.sc/47GPJdHZKhtM It could be this script that loads in the head https://prnt.sc/WqC6eIHRNWDD I can’t find much about it online, or do you maybe know what that is?

Have you tried running wordfence and scanning the website with it? https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/ Be sure to scan files outside of the wordpress installation as well, the option is in the scan settings. Wordfence should find any extra files, modified files, suspicious code, etc.

Or if your truly found the source of the malware, then maybe it’s just caching. Clearing all the caches and purging the cloudflare cache should be done again.

Thank you!

Hi,

No problem, we’re here to help.

That’s right. If you want to import something from the cloud library inside a page, you can use the load template option or the cloud button up top https://prnt.sc/Y6GoxmR0vA2L

Pressing them should open the import window like this https://prnt.sc/3jez0fGCOtp7 Then you select what you want to import and confirm. But if these steps aren’t working correctly, then it means there’s a problem.

From what I see you have the WPBakery plugin active. And I believe there is a bug because of that, which affects the composer. Could you make a test and deactivate the WPBakery plugin and try again?

Did you use WPBakery before for the website? If not, I suggest removing it. The theme doesn’t require it in any way.

Let me know.

Thank you!

There are tests that can be made.

First, let’s see if the post template has anything to do with it.

Please import any of the review templates from the cloud library https://prnt.sc/_cIa9xDU8iBl
Search for review to find them faster https://prnt.sc/ixGyLZjQT8n2

After importing one, edit a post that has a review and set the imported template just for that post https://prnt.sc/G35stt_wAAdt

Clear the cache and check in incognito mode to make sure that the post template was applied. Then check that post with the google test. Also provide a link to it so I can check it as well.

This way we can know if there’s something wrong with the post template or what’s in it.

Let me know.

Thank you!

I’m new to Newspaper so please bear with my newbie question. I am rebuilding my site utilizing the Revenant demo. However, there are elements from the Aniglobe demo I would like to use. I assume that I could download the element directly onto the page, but this doesn’t seem to be the case as clicking on the Import Element button renders nothing on the page. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

The issue is happen on all of our reviews (hundreds of individual pages).

Our Single Post cloud template started as a blank page and was made custom with TagDiv Composer. The Review summary block comes at the very end. The structure of the page looks like:

    Single Post Content
    Single Post Review Summary
    Single Post Review Overall

Could this be why the review metadata is appearing outside of </article>? If so, how can we fix it?

HI,

Maybe it happens because of the bot fight mode, is it enabled in cloudflare? If so, I suggest disabling it temporarily to see if it still happens https://developers.cloudflare.com/bots/get-started/bot-fight-mode/

I see that while I’m browsing your website normally, I’m being blocked sometimes https://prnt.sc/hQXMybujAehe

If the bot fight mode isn’t the cause, then it must be something else from the Security tab in the cloudflare dashboard. I suggest checking the security events log to see if you can find legitimate actions that were blocked, the reason should appear there.

Let me know if you find something.

Thank you!

I think that’s the team member element.

1. There should be font settings for everything, like the names -> https://prnt.sc/MEAbIKkIVbU3 Please check in the style tab of the element after you click on it.

2. The call to action element has an option to change the background color of the button, if that is what you mean -> https://prnt.sc/P5ipozuiczbt

Or did you import a different section from the cloud library? Regardless however, each element should have font and color settings, usually in the style tab.

Thank you!

Hi,

That’s not actually a page template, like the way a post template is. It can be a bit confusing.

That page template option refers to the purpose of the page, not something that can be applied to multiple pages. For example you need a Contact page, you can import a Contact page from the cloud library, meaning a page that was built for that purpose. Importing a page from there creates a new regular page on the website.

If maybe you need to reuse something in multiple pages, like a row containing various elements, you could save that row in the composer using the right click menu -> https://prnt.sc/9np4SnbuslUf Then you can reuse it anywhere -> https://prnt.sc/D7QQQNywr-Kb Or maybe duplicate that page and start with it when you need to build more pages -> https://prnt.sc/U7cPB3jYJFp0

Let me know if you have more questions.

Thank you!

Hello,
We are experiencing an issue on our WordPress website using the Newspaper theme together with Cloudflare.

Every time we publish a news article, Cloudflare shows a CAPTCHA challenge before the publishing process can be completed. If we do not complete the CAPTCHA, the article is not published. The same thing also happens quite often when saving a draft.

The main problem is that we are currently unable to upload images properly. It looks like Cloudflare is blocking the upload process, but in this case no CAPTCHA is shown, so we have no way to complete the challenge. The only workaround we have found is to save a draft of any article, wait for the Cloudflare CAPTCHA to appear, complete it, and then our computer seems to be temporarily “authorized”. After that, we can publish articles, upload images and make other important changes for a while.

This issue also affects some Newspaper theme features. For example, the infinite scroll option, which loads more articles when scrolling, does not work unless the Cloudflare CAPTCHA has already been completed. The same happens with some news modules that load more posts or paginate results using AJAX.

This is especially important because the infinite scroll and AJAX loading issue affects 100% of our users. Visitors never see the Cloudflare CAPTCHA challenge, so they cannot complete it. As a result, they are unable to load more articles in any of the Newspaper theme “flex” modules that rely on AJAX loading or pagination. The module simply keeps loading forever, showing the spinning icon, but no additional content is loaded.

So the issue seems to be that Cloudflare is challenging or blocking some WordPress/Newspaper AJAX requests or admin actions, but in some cases the CAPTCHA is not displayed to the user, which makes the action impossible to complete.

Could you please help us identify which Newspaper theme AJAX requests, endpoints, scripts or WordPress actions should be excluded or whitelisted in Cloudflare so that features such as infinite scroll, AJAX pagination, image uploads, post publishing and the “flex” modules work correctly?

We would also appreciate any recommended Cloudflare configuration for the Newspaper theme, especially regarding:

* WordPress admin actions
* Media uploads
* admin-ajax.php requests
* Newspaper infinite scroll
* Newspaper AJAX pagination and post loading modules
* Newspaper “flex” modules that load more posts through AJAX
* Any theme-specific AJAX endpoints that should not be challenged by Cloudflare

Thank you.

Hi,

We are running Newspaper 12.7.6 with td-cloud-library 3.7 and td-composer 5.2 on a server with 56 CPUs and 64GB RAM.

Our site has:
– 214,000 published posts
– 209,000 attachments
– PHP 8.0, MySQL 8.0

Every time we activate td-cloud-library or td-composer, the server load spikes from 8 to 90-127 within seconds. We see 100+ php-cgi processes and 80-100 simultaneous MySQL queries running against wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables.

We have already tried:
– Updating plugins to latest versions
– Adding database indexes (including spro_tagdiv_recent_posts from Scalability Pro)
– Increasing PHP memory to 512M
– Clearing all cache

The plugins are incompatible with large sites. Without them active, the server runs fine. With them active, the site crashes.

Please advise what is causing this behavior and how to fix it for large sites.

Hi, I use the Cloud Templates option to make a global template for Posts and Categories, etc. However, when I tried making a global template for Pages, I can’t see how to set it as the global template for all Pages in the same way that I can for the other template types.

View post on imgur.com

Even if I can’t set it globally, I’d like to at least be able to mark specific Pages to use the template, such that their contents from the standard WP editor is shown within the context of the Page template.

Hi,

Normally the aspect ratios we provide for the block modules should cover pretty much all the cases https://prnt.sc/mQl9loGJNWbi Or you can set a custom width, height, and vertical alignment for the images in a block https://prnt.sc/lovms5y9HVAv

It’s more of a make the module to display the image better, rather than make the image fit the module. These thumbs that flex blocks use aren’t cropped at all https://prnt.sc/RUYrJbBzPMIx The flex blocks display the image as a background, so you can adjust the module depending on the case. There are all kinds of block designs in the cloud library if you want to check them out https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks

Could you provide an example of the issue you are having with the thumbs?

Thank you.

Hi TagDiv Support,

My site https://www.selemedia.org stopped being indexed by Google immediately after I installed and activated the Newspaper theme.

Problem:
1. Before installing Newspaper, posts were indexed normally.
2. After activation, new and old posts show as “Crawled – currently not indexed” in Google Search Console.
3. Google reports “No referring sitemaps detected” even though my sitemaps have URLs.
4. Viewing the page source shows Google is not seeing noindex, but indexing still fails.

What I’ve already checked:
– Deactivated RankMath and all other SEO plugins. The issue remains.
– My sitemaps at /wp-sitemap-posts-post-1.xml are working and list 45+ URLs.
– “Discourage search engines” is unchecked in Settings > Reading.
– Using LiteSpeed Cache and Cloudflare, but I’ve purged all cache.

I suspect the Newspaper theme’s built-in SEO settings may be setting a global noindex or blocking Googlebot.

Request:
Can you tell me exactly where in Newspaper > Theme Panel I should check to ensure posts are set to index, follow and not blocked from Google?

Site URL: https://www.selemedia.org
WordPress version: 7.0
Newspaper theme version: 12.7.6

Thanks,
John Sele Philip

Hi,

As far as I know there’s no issue with the post settings currently. I checked as an author, in the block editor the post settings are there at the bottom -> https://prnt.sc/no-yHvBANdHI They just need to be opened and it’s all there -> https://prnt.sc/XFSq26yfORLf Same with the classic editor -> https://prnt.sc/tInILVzc8Ud2

If the settings are truly missing on your website, maybe it’s some kind of plugin conflict. That’s the first thing to check.

If you used a cloud header template before, it couldn’t have just disappeared. From what I see using the wayback machine, you used to use a standard header template, template 5 -> https://prnt.sc/VkP4uig1R0m_ That kind of template requires this plugin -> https://prnt.sc/rQ-ehi9kAEad then you can use it again. If that standard pack plugin is not active, then yes, some settings from the theme panel won’t be available.

Or would you like to switch to using a cloud header template? I’ll help set it up if you want.

Thank you!

If you want more images, you can duplicate the row with the images as many times as needed -> https://prnt.sc/ei935PXR_4Pu Or duplicate the images themselves -> https://prnt.sc/SOX3JBqCTlWl That is very easy to do.

If you want to add text above or below each image, the gallery will need some adjustments. You’ll need to split the row into columns -> https://prnt.sc/pVG1r_vbUnV1 and move the images in the columns -> https://prnt.sc/TIurYiaPG7og Also remove the width set here from each image -> https://prnt.sc/AH26ECNB9FIy Then you can add text above and below the images -> https://prnt.sc/h2IafxsGlA-k

Or, maybe you could use this type of gallery -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/page/Sections/198 This is made of Image info boxes, which have a title and a description that is displayed over the image, and also a button for your link -> https://prnt.sc/FxH3Aj5ZnExn You could try this one as well.

Thank you!

Hi,

The posts use a cloud post template, that’s not actually a sidebar it’s a column with blocks in it. It can be called a sidebar however.

You have two choices for pages:

1. If you build them with wordpress, same as the submit page you mentioned, then the pages can use widget sidebars. In that page for example there is a sidebar, but there’s nothing in it. Please add widgets -> https://prnt.sc/C_YAmGjf59HK

2. Or build the pages with the composer. Use a layout that has a sidebar column -> https://prnt.sc/Tj6hMs7PRi_s and add blocks in it from the composer.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately with regular browsing I can’t see the website, Cloudflare is blocking me https://prnt.sc/ASanaGOq68wF Are there maybe any country restrictions active?

I used a VPS however to see the website. It seems to display correctly from what I can tell https://prnt.sc/VC_JmPCC7WMz Or at least I can’t see any obvious image related issues.

I do see you are using an image optimization service called Optimole, and the images are all delivered from their servers, not your website. Maybe there was an issue on their side, but it’s working now.

Thank you!

Hi,

You could use a ready made image section from the cloud library. Like this one https://cloud.tagdiv.com/gallery-images-nature-love/? it’s a simple section, and you can duplicate it if you need more images.

Import in your page -> https://prnt.sc/sXu4qKw6aFnq -> https://prnt.sc/KdN2kmFKm3C-
Then replace the images and set the custom links you want -> https://prnt.sc/xUbIJ2K_PYa5
Also disable the modal image -> https://prnt.sc/H8IHakxyN5Wo

That’s it basically. Replacing the images and the links can be done easily.

Or are you looking for something different perhaps?

Thank you!
