Hi,

I could take a look at it, please post a link where I can see it happening. The width should be the one set in the composer for the row containing the elements. So it shouldn’t change itself, the set width should be loaded initially and not change.

If you imported/built a cloud post template you can set the width you want for the rows, from these settings – http://prntscr.com/nvdcfb
When using cloud post templates ad codes for the post content can be added in the template
http://prntscr.com/nvddh0
Also in ad boxes around the post content – http://prntscr.com/nvddp0

Let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

1. Shortcodes from plugins such as for example woocommerce, bbpress and other plugins, can be used in the composer, they can be entered in a column text element
http://prntscr.com/nvcsgb
Try to enter the shortcodes in column text elements and they should work fine.

2. The mobile theme doesn’t have many settings available, this is for improved performance on mobile. It will present a highly simplified version of the website on mobile, regardless of what is set and used for desktop. A guide here
https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
The plugin is optional, deactivating it will display the same content on all devices, the responsive website. However we will add more settings for it and for AMP in coming updates. If there are any problems in your case, post a link to the website so I can check on mobile.

3. I don’t quite understand what you mean. If you are referring to styling for woocommerce and bbpress, the theme provides minimal design. While it is compatible with such plugins,m it doesn’t add design or more functionality for them.

4. Most headings are predefined, only a few elements in the composer have options to select the heading used. For the rest of theme it would require code modifications to chnage the headings. If you have suggestions please let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

You can create a footer page with tagDiv Composer, set the Newsletter in page and set that page as a footer page in theme panel.

Hi,

Unfortunately you can not add php code directly in theme, you need to set the php code with some php plugin in widgets ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-php-code-widget/ ) and set this widgets in homepage tagDiv Composer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/SMwge3nN2HwW -> https://www.screencast.com/t/oE5S8fy4b

Thank you!

I thought you used woocommerce and woocommerce products, in that case shortcodes would work in the mobile editor.
But displaying composer elements in the mobile theme won’t be possible, composer elements aren’t available for the mobile editor. So they can’t appear in the mobile version of a page when the mobile theme is active. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,

Indeed, seems the child theme causes the issue with the post templates. The selected post templates do not apply when the child theme is active. This problem is under investigation, it will be fixed.

@Beni
If you are having problems with the composer, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com so we can take a look at it. Provide admin login in the email, and mention any other details about the problem, if there are any.

@be2name
Does the post use a cloud template? If it does, then you should be directed to the composer edit screen. If it doesn’t then there will be a message
http://prntscr.com/nv9oay
So if the post uses a cloud post template it should work alright, works in my case. Let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

we have taken note of the fact that with each update it is necessary to update also the td-composer plugin that contains all the most important files for changes on the theme.

like many other users of the theme, we kindly ask you to insert a patch folder of the files modified in td-composer. For you it’s just a little effort but it’s a great help for all of us.

Which files were modified in td-composer in the 9.7.2-9.7.3 update?

Thanks!

Hi,

You could indeed experiment with the cloud post template similar to the one currently used.
Post Template 6 or any non-cloud post template can only display the publish date, adding the modified date in it would require you to modify the post template file and add the necessary code. Before theme update 9.7 this was possible in a child theme
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/post-last-updated/
But now the post template files are in the tagDiv composer plugin, so they can only be edited there. The inconvenience is that the modification will have to be made after each theme update, because the plugins will be updated.
That is why it would be best to try and use a cloud post template if possible. Import the one you want, configure it as needed, and apply to the posts you want.

Thanks

Hi,

Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/

The easiest way it will be to make an downgrade to Newspaper v9.6k, in this way you’ll be still able to use the api.

Thank you!

tagDiv Composer.. Plug-in can not be installed

Final update: I fixed everything.

The solution:
– In order to correct the theme breaking from updating the template, I had to rollback, and then re-attempt the update which allowed me to activate and update TD composer
– For some reason, this update moved the mailchimp form that was embedded in the footer over to the sidebar..hmmm…I had to re-embed it and now it works again
– WP Bakery appears to be conflicting with TD Composer, I had to disable it in order to correct the above screenshot you see. Some TD composer elements were missing due to the WP Bakery conflict such as Single Image and empty spacer. Not sure why.

Update:

I was able to correct the majority of the issues with the exception of one thing. I had two main images on my homepage below my slider and now I can’t seem to edit them at all as they appear cropped/glitched out on the homepage since the update. Here is a screenshot of some code I see in TD composer but there’s no way for me to edit it or click on it.

edit: I’m also noticing that the “empty space” and “single image” from the composer block shortcode is missing.

Dear support team,

I am getting used to the tagDiv Composer – and I like it!

Now I want to create a row with 4 columns of equal width, and I don’t see such an option.

I’ve noticed that there are more layout options in the official guide: https://imgur.com/a/hT88mdv

However, for some reason, options on my website are limited to this: https://imgur.com/a/J9XiiuG

I’ve also noticed that there are only 3 responsive layout options (desktop, tablet, mobile) instead of the 4 seen in the official guide (here: https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/).

What would you suggest?

I don’t like the idea of creating 2 columns with each of them containing 2 more columns, but I guess there is no other option at the moment?

Or could it be that the tagDiv Composer version that comes with Newsmag theme is different?

Kind regards,
Eric

From yesterday update, I lost the single image element in the tagDiv Composer.
When I delete the wp bakery plugin, then I can find all elements in the tagdiv composer.
Why? What is the problem?

No – my POSTS are just through the standard visual WordPress editor. My PAGES are using the composer but they are fine.

As Catalin mentioned in the similar post – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/using-tagdiv-composer-text-editor-does-not-work/ – the issue has been fixed in the latest version of the theme. Downloading and re-installing it solved this for me.
