If you can create a page,
turn on Visual Composer and no other plugin.

Turn on the theme again.

Turn on your plugins one by one to find the one breaking the site.

Right. You cannot auto-update the “bundled” version of the Visual Composer plugin which comes free with the theme vs spending $20 additional. The bundled version is only updated when the theme itself is updated, and is tested to be compatible with the theme.

1) you don’t need to put in a license key if you use the bundled version of VC that comes with theme
2) you cannot “auto update” the bundled version, as it’s not provided by the folks who make VC. Setting on the Visual Composer plugin can be ignored as they don’t apply in this instance – those settings would only apply if you bought a license to the plugin, so you can simply ignore them. 🙂

Kind of confusing, but this is how all the theme developers who “bundle” a version of VC with the theme do it.

Plus to that you save having to buy a license, and you can be assured that 99% of the time the version included with the theme will actually work.

I just discovered d probs here… Lack of understanding…. There is a funtion dat is located in settings > visual composer… And there there are 3 toggle pans…. Settings, shortcodes and one other…. The middle one u wuld see a box asking for evanton Api secret code… Evanton user name … And visuall compuer linecen key .. So u can get latest theme update direct to ur blog and dashboard from evanton.. Theme update nt visual compuser update..

You don’t need a license key for this theme.

You cannot “auto update” the version of Visual Composer which is “bundled” with the theme, as it’s a bulk license, not an individual license per user. The only way to update it is to wait for next theme update, which will have the tested/approved bundled/licensed version with it.

You would need to edit the visual composer modules as those control the home module layouts. Not sure why you bought a “fixed layout” theme if you wanted a “full width layout” …. but Lucian or Marius will be back Monday for tech support so may have more cogent answer than my rambling 🙂

Bumps don’t do anything.

The theme cannot suddenly cause something to stop working.

1) did you update something else recently that might have broken Visual Composer?

2) did you try removing the visual composer plugin (js_composer) from your plugins folder, then reinstall the version which comes with the theme?

YOU SHOULD BE USING THE VERSION WHICH IS INCLUDED WITH THE THEME FOR SITE TO WORK PROPERLY AND IT DOES NOT NEED A LICENSE. REMOVE YOUR LICENSED VERSION AND USE THE ONE INCLUDED WITH THE THEME, WHICH NEEDS NO LICENSE KEY.

If something “suddenly” stops working, this is due to action on your part or something you have installed, updated, or modified. The theme isn’t secretly changing things behind your back to turn things on and off. It’s not technically possible.

Hello, i disable the Visual Composer, and i am happy with the result, what i can lose if i disable this plugins, i don’t need the homepage design etc ! i am happy with the blog results! For the widget, i still have the Tagdiv blocks ! so whats the purpose of the VC other that create a homepage or some other pages ? Because the VC get my website Hell slow !
