Hi there, if i put a post in also in the featured category it doesn’t show on homepage only in the slider. Why?
Also is there any news about the visual composer plugin? As you know there are a lot of white spaces and it seems that nobody has a clear answer!
See:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/installation/
“activating” a plugin means turning it from off to “on” (e.g., “activating” it so it will work).
I did everything as written in the documentation, and all the same plugins ask for activation, what to do?
and what item it is there to see? I haven’t found
Not needed. See the documentation link top right of this site.
bought the theme of newspaper where do I get license key for visual composer and revolution slayder?
Just did the update (theme & plugins) to latest version 4.2.2 without any issues.
That’s great!
There is a small layout rearrangement on homepage blocks which is better but
produced a little bit more white space around blocks.
Hi Lucian,
I’ve updated theme and VC plugin, I haven’t seen any issues for now.
Thanks
Hi,
@DoOove
Please let us know if you have any issues and note that if you updated the theme to the latest version you will have to updated the VC plugin also.
Thanks
Thanks for your feedback Steven, I’m going to upgrade now 🙂
I’m not having any issues with the new VC or theme update, every thing is working as entended on my site.
Hi
any feedback for those who upgraded to 4.2.2 theme release ?
I’m running with VC 4.1.3. js_composer included in last theme release is 4.2.2?
Anyone having problems with this?
thanks for help
Hi,
Sorry about this, we try to do our best.
@Arved007
You can solve the blank space issue via css. Sorry about the inconvenience, if you want you can updated the plugin again and send me a link to your site so I can inspect this.
I have already checked your site and noticed that you have compressed your html structure, this may also cause this along other plugins.
Please let me know if you have any other theme related issues.
Thanks
can you please share it with us?
I had to revert to the old VC Composer, it worked just fine.
Thanks!
Yes, it seems that for every feature that comes out they have to make 10 updates to correct it. 🙂
Aaah forget it, I’ve just reuploaded the whole thing.
The problem now is I see a lot of blank space between the notes.

My homepage wents mad with the last update. I tried setting a new page, saving, reloading, erasing cache… nothing works. The page just makes a mess of the elements with Visual Composer

First, to set a page as your homepage, do this:
1. Create a page and call it “Home” or something.
2. Go to WordPress’s “Reading” settings and set it to use a static page. Then you can choose the page you made.
Then you can customize your homepage by editing that page you made.
If you edit it and see the normal WordPress editing screen, click the blue “Backend Editor” button, which will take you to Visual Composer’s editing view.
From there, you will see the rows and columns that make up your homepage. If you want, set the homepage template at the right, from one of tagDiv’s basic ones. Then you can click on the + icons to add an element. For example, a slider, a Big Slider, a Revolution Slider at the top.
Then the main part of your homepage is usually made up of block elements. The demo homepage is made of blocks set to show their categories. When you edit a block’s settings, that’s when you would make them show your categories — and many other options.
Hope this is helpful! Post again if anything’s unclear.
It’s in the “all files” download from your theme forest account for the newspaper theme; when you uncompress the newspaper-tf folder, you will see sub-folder “plugins.” 🙂
also see, if you wish to use the WP panel to upload, assuming proper file/folder permissions

I normally uncompress locally on my hard drive, then FTP up manually to replace old content.
Where I can download it?
You might try downloading files again. Also don’t use FTP tool to unzip as I have had nothing but problems there, same goes for unzipping on the server.
I was able to decompress the file with no issue using WinRAR on my local PC, so file is good.
Changelog shows version: 19.08.2014 – ver 4.3.3
