Hi,
When I create a new page or post in visual composer and choose a css animation nothing happens.
Everything appears static on on the page regardless of whether I select an animation or not.
I switched from Magazinly and all the stuff that used to animate no longer does and when I try and create new content for example – a page with images that appear left to right as you scroll down – nothing happens!
Was just wondering if anybody else is having this issue at all?
Thanks
hello,
we fully integrated the visual composer in our theme, so we did not used as a plugin.
unfortunately to add new elements in our version of you need to modify the code.
Thanks for you message.

Hi,
I bought the visual composer plugin today in hope that I can add some new content content elements into the default visual composer in the template. http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431
How can I use the new purchased version/add some new content elements?
Regards,
Wombat
Yeah I know what you means. The visual composer is amazing and so is the review system.
And I spent 20 hours a couple of days ago building my site using Newspaper, so I know what you mean when you say you’re in the design stage 😀 It’s tough but rewarding to take a site all the way from testing to final release 🙂
On the author page, as well as after posts, the author block has more information on it. A bio, web link, and some social media profiles. When I try to use the visual composer to make a custom author section on my About page, the author area looks more like the sidebar on this page: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/author/admin/
I want it to look more like the author block seen in the actual post itself. I will be showing multiple authors like this. How would I go about doing this?
thanks
Add Page, then you’ll find the blue button ‘visual composer’.
If you use the visual composer to build your homepage, you can rename the title of blocks.

Where are you trying to change it back through? A category page?
From what I understand, the homepage shouldn’t be a category page. It should be a normal page that uses any of the homepage templates.
1. Making the homepage
To create a homepage:Go to Pages -> Add new
Select a Homepage – with article list template from Page Attributes (*see image bellow)
Start Visual Composer by clicking on Visual Composer blue button.Build your Homepage using Blocks content or you can use predefined Homepage templates from Page Builder
Doing it this way also offers more customization control for the homepage because you can design it however you want using the visual composer.
If you are already using the visual composer and can’t edit the blocks, I’m not really sure what’s wrong..

Hello,
@andra33 can you show me which slider. Do you mean about Big slider? If you use sliders on Visual composer you have this settings http://screencast.com/t/HhKNUpvuTRTC
Thanks for the message!
Happy New Year 2014!!!
Hello,
Weird! What you can do is to deactivate some plugins and see if works. Could be a conflict with one. Also please try to add something with visual composer and update to see if the page make the update.
Thanks
Hello,
The blocks from Visual Composer are built from modules. See here at 2. Blocks http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/#blocks
In page when you use Visual composer you use Blocks.
If you want pagination with 1,2,3 you use a template with article list http://screencast.com/t/5IdbyXw0rK5g and here you can use MODULES as layout http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/#blocks
If you want module 6 to be on 3 columns you have to edit td_template_layout.php file located in \includes\content_builder folder and change like here: http://screencast.com/t/nxkSKtbgBrsm
Thanks!
In my experience you can’t expect your site being even close to what it looks like today when migrating to a new theme.
Most likely a change initially will send you in to a state of chock but when you’ve overcome that glitch there’s so much you can do.
I.e. myself am using two side bars side by side on my frontpage just using the elements that comes along with the theme together with preassigned customized sidebars and dropping them in to the composer.
With a bit of tweaking I’m thinking you could use the same technique to get the result you’re aiming for and save it as a template in the composer.
Hello,
You can create a homepage like you want and you can select that page as font page from here: http://screencast.com/t/3VuEt2TLFXQ and also the same for the blog.
The theme is very flexible, you can create the blog page like you want with pagination and above you have visual composer for other block content as unlimited combination.
If you want, please read the theme documentation, we have some videos to http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/
This will help you to understand how the theme work.
If you don’t manage it,m you can send us access to your WordPress and we will take a look. contatc@tagdiv.com

Hello,
@mmtt do you want to put an ad here: http://screencast.com/t/5UELpHkYKq
You can put an ad using the visual composer adding a text with you ad code or using the theme ad system, create an ad from Theme – Option -> Ads, then add in your homepage an Ad box
Hope this help.
Thanks for the message!
set up page called blog (referenced in customize to use that page for the blog) used visual composer and selected template – homepage – magazinly, went into slide and added info, updated (published) went to preview changes and it takes me back to home page not blog, when I do click on blog it looks the same as it did before I made the changes with my posts all on there but no slider or anything else, just set up like module 5.
Then tried deleting the template and just made a slider, and added info asked for and still it takes me to homepage not blog, and my blog is the same as it was previously.
Hello,
Infinite scroll come from a block from visual composer as you can see in the screenshot that you provided.
You have to use a blank homepage without article list and set the block to Infinite load http://screencast.com/t/Ot4HTsZBiKO
Hello,
I replicate the bug. For the first time work, but if i try again, the text behind become blank. I will mark this as a bug for an investigation.
Thanks
I made a quick video of the issue. I’m using Chrome as my browser.
Hello,
Work fine on Firefox to. Can you show us a screenshot? We can’t replicate the bug.
IN my case things work okay in Chrome, but IE11 is a hit/miss affair.
Is anyone else having issues with Visual Composer and WordPress 3.8?
Whenever I try to add/modify a link in an existing text block in Visual Composer, the dialog to add a link will pop up and the text behind it in the block become blank and causes erroneous paragraph lines to be inserted into the block. It’s very frustrating.
Hello,
That code is from page builder(Visual composer) Please disable that plugin.
The theme is mobile responsive.
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
one suggestion: Would it be possible to activate the full width option for posts but still keep the default featured post image (700~366px~~) and area below content?
I want to place individualized sidebar content at specific areas in the post (you can do that with visual composer), not one after another if you know what I mean. Useful if you have longer posts and don’t want to have sidebars only in the upper area or connect to specific content places. Also, creating new sidebars in the sidebar manager all the time, is too much after a while.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can’t update the Visual Composer because is built in theme. We will update the VC in the following updates.
Thanks for understanding!
