You can do it by simply changing the line height of the main menu to about 60px and then add this custom css in the theme panel-> custom css box:

When I search for my website on Google, it shows the following description:

How do I remove the “Edit with Live CSS. Save.”?
Also, is it possible to remove the archive from listing in google? All of the catagories I have on my page, only one shows up and as an archive… can this be prevented?

Alright – I seem to have managed it with the following custom CSS for those who may have some interest in similar actions:

min-height: 595px !important;
}
.woocommerce ul.products a.button {
bottom: 30px;
position: absolute;
}
This may differ depending on how they’ve set their things up, but this worked for me.

Better to manually optimize the main css and js files yourself (see my long winded optimization thread for links to the best tools for that, esp js) vs running plugin. That way the optimized files get cached, not a process running to optimize stuff at same time as caching it (conflict).

Hi,
The theme does not have options to remove ads on particular posts from a given category. Once entered in the theme panel sections, the ads will be displayed on every post.
There are plugins that you can use that have more advanced settings regarding ads, such as the suggestions from this topic

Using a plugin for the ad implementation would be easier if you want to achieve this, hiding the Adsense ads with CSS is not recommended, and conditions in the code would be more difficult.

I have seen the issue on your website, that is not supposed to happen. The animation is still functioning when it should not, for a single post. I cannot replicate the issue, the ticker does not fade when a single post is displayed.
This can be caused by plugin conflicts, custom code or modifications to the theme files. You could try deactivating all plugins except theme plugins, and clear all caches. Then check if this has any effect. And temporarily remove modifications if there are any.
I could give you a code to cancel the animation (enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS), but this will work only for the present situation

Hi Simion, thanks for the screenshots. We actually want to remove that red extra space. Under design options of the block, we set background to red so we can see how big the extra space is after setting title, date and excerpt to hidden via css.

Please notice that I said you above which would be the solution in this case. Each page created by you have a unique page or post ID. So, using this, you can target this page and remove each element you want through such a custom CSS code.

Something is not functioning properly with the theme. This might be caused by custom CSS, or plugins. A suggestion would be to remove any theme customization or additions from the theme panel or theme files and folder, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and check if the problem is solved.
Ultimately you can try a fresh theme install and make no customization, to see if everything is working as intended

I implemented this couple years back, and I think this is noted in my long winded 2 year old optimization thread in the best of tutorials section.
Right now, you’d need to manually edit the style.css, and then unhook the two default google fonts from the big functions file.
Would be nice to have it, as I had suggested long ago — but now it’s been well documented for many folks that Google fonts via CDN don’t impact site too badly, esp in Chrome where they get cached when using the most popular fonts (meaning they don’t get reloaded on your site visit if already there, so no speed impact).

Note – the freezing happens on various sites to lesser degree I noticed the other night myself, even on my own website … only happened when I first turned it on — and I’m now thinking that maybe the iPad was doing some kind of background refresh like getting iCloud photos or something — but not sure on that.
On a simple page with 100/100 pagespeed score, two logos, one photo, and font awesome, I noticed the slight freeze going down page at a certain point. Odd. On my page all the above fold CSS loaded up front, and using native ipad fonts other than FA.
Not theme specific — I also noticed this issue on LA Times where the page just died, and went blank partway down.
Later on, both worked fine — so I suspect some background process on iPad, but I don’t have a fancy “activity monitor” installed, and have not turned on the developer mode on my new iPad (had that on for old one). Need to connect to my computer to activate that.
But it was temporary — then worked just fine. Very weird.
Just adding to the “bizarro world” topic … nothing to do with this theme specifically, as I notice the “twitchy” behavior on multiple sites the other night — all around the same time; but then no issues later on (and I have a smooth scroll jquery thing too, so yeah — super noticeable)…..
