Is there a way to add in-feed ads to the flex box similar to https://cointelegraph.com/?
Where they have their 3×3 articles, the middle of every second row is an ad.
Hi, block fonts in tag div composer is broke…
https://www.dropbox.com/s/d1xxp63wad4gzee/Untitled-1.jpg?dl=0
And i supose flex box too.
Thanks
We will investigate the issue you mention, we cannot recreate this however or has it happened in our tests. Note that the new flex block can be styled as you want, it could be a setting in the design you created with it that causes the issue. There are many instances where the flex block can be used, just be careful with the design you create, for each device

Hi,
The theme blocks and grids are predefined, they will always look the same. Rows containing blocks can be stretched if needed
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ukztJBiL4wk
The latest theme version introduced the Flex-block, you could make experiments with that, for a creating a custom block

Thanks
Found that Block 22 is a much better substitute for Flex Block 1 in my layout, rather than Block 1. So, this is a low priority bug as far as I’m concerned. Thanks for reading, and put it in your queue if you please. 🙂
My new homepage layout with Newspaper 8.7 is looking great! Very satisfied customer here.
Except…
My layout looks best using Flex Block 1 in several locations. It renders correctly on my iMac with Safari, Chrome or Firefox. And, it looks OK on my iPhone. But I also have an old iPad running IOS 9.3.5, and the post title, meta and excerpt are all rendered right over the image, making an unreadable mess. I don’t know if a newer iPad would have the problem. (Also, I haven’t tested any PC or Android devices.)
Please visit testnews.postflaviana.org to see my layout. Or, postflaviana.org to see the inferior version using block 1 in place of the flex blocks.
I have the same question. Is it necessary to install the multi-purpose plugin? It doesn’t appear listed in the installed plugin page. What are the correct version numbers for tagDiv composer and social counter? I tried to update, but the version numbers didn’t change from 8.5? I have Composer 2.1 and Social Counter 4.2. Composer doesn’t work correctly with the new style tab, or with the Flex block.
@Zilhan thank you for the compliment. I use the TD Composer coz of its dedicated elements built specifically for the theme (like the new flex box and td multipurpose plugin elements). The advice given here is that you should not use td composer and visual composer at the same time because it will cause plugin conflicts. So, the best option is to choose one and deactivate the other. So, the choice is yours, even though the recommended plugin since version 8.5 o4 8.6 has been TD composer because it is being optimized for the theme specifically.
Hi,
The news ticker is a predefined element like all blocks (except flex block). It will always have the same layout
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/news-ticker/
There are font settings for this element in the Theme panel->Theme fonts->Modules MX
– https://www.screencast.com/t/pQW5WzjbU0PP
But there are none to make it display vertically. If you require such an element, you could maybe try slider plugins.
Thanks
I use updraft and the images are showing on my site with the flexbox. Maybe it is a plugin conflict.
You can use the article image settings to customize the image size
– https://www.screencast.com/t/dfYl3XmlPP83
The selected image size will be used as background by the flex module.
Hello,
I am using Updraft Plus for backup on all my sites. Everything works fine but not with Newspaper theme?
And : If Updraft is activated, no post images are shown in the flex box.
Isn`t there a workaround for this ? (Updraft is a very common backup system!)
Regards
Thomas
Hi,
is it possible to create similar style’ block https://c2n.me/3RZW1ph.png by the means of Flex Block? In other words, is it possible to get meta content over image or only on the top/bottom of image?
Thanks.
Maybe that’s something you should have a look at then.
If it’s possible to choose headers, menus and lord knows what else per category, adding flexibility of use to footers would seem the next logical thing to catch up on!
You can install the demo and use any images you want and also image optimizations if needed. The homepage is built for demo purposes. It is built entirely using the new flex block element
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/
Each element in the page content is a flex block.
Also, I’ve deleted all caches.
Also, thank you for the Flexbox, it has every feature I was complaining about your theme not having a few days ago.
it really is exactly what the theme needed.
Cheers, good luck with all the bug fixes.
LOL … I forgot to actually paste in the changelog text (doh; coffee not kicking in over here …)

Bogdan,
Trust all is well. I hope you are doing great in your life. I already read https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ before posting my question. Kindly understand the feature what i am talking about. Under the Default Demo -> Don’t Miss (Block 1) is showing all the categories with it’s respective posts as per the functionalty. New Feature Requirement: I want the Block should have a flexibility to select only one category (like Mobile Phones) so that only one category’s sub-categories should be displayed. This will help us to maintain blocks based on categories. If you are unable to understand then we can have a skype call (Skype ID: yashwantmaxneo). My client is looking for this feature asap and i am looking for your help.
Regards,
Yashwant Das
Thank you for your reply.
1 – The style I am looking for is the one in the demo page https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_tech/shop/. Now the styling is correct but only IF I don’t declare the page as a shopping page in woocomerce -> settings…
Now I just realised that when a page is set as a shop page the PAGE ATTRIBUTES box in the wordpress backend does not display the TEMPLATE options, usually it is set to -> DEFAULT TEMPLATE (other options, just to avoid confusion, are “pagebuilder + empty page”, “+ overlay menu” and so on…)
2 – Now I got how the sidebar works in this theme, it’s ok now.
3 – Ok!
4 – Thank you! Is it possible to put that code into the child theme? I put a copy of the file td_block_text_with_title.php, duly modified, on the child theme folder but it won’t work. Do I need to recreate the same folder tree in the child theme?
I have seen that block elements (like Block 3) have the styling I am looking for but the woocomerce categories are not visible in the “category filter” pull-down menu of the block settings of the WPBackery Page Builder. Maybe if we could select the category from the filter it would be easier and more flexible. I tried using shortcodes and IDs and slugs but it seems they are invisible.
Thank you.

You could try this solution to center the titles on modules
– https://www.screencast.com/t/byhz8pVjpl
.td_module_wrap .item-details {
display: flex;
align-items: center;
justify-content: center;
}
Enter the code in Theme panel->Custom CSS and see if it works properly.
hi there,
I’m in the middle of moving my site to newspaper-theme.
one thing concerning the header I couldn’t figure out yet:
I set up header style1: how can I align the header items vertically centered. I have a logo and an ad (no adsense). and they is there a way to make the header a flexbox?
thanks
Hello,
Thanks for explaining the feature. I think this way I can control the subcategories more flexible way.
Thanks Simion.
Hi Tagdiv, thanks for the new theme. Since you launched Newspaper 8.6, there have been two major problems. The first is that featured pictures are no longer loading on time. The delay is astonishing whether for readers here in Washington DC or around the world for todaynewsafrica.com. Second problem is it’s almost impossible to add social media networks at the footer area. Everything has been tried but it seems it’s not working. The third thing is that even though the mobile plugin has been fixed, it’s not flexible enough. The social media network in post header is no appearing also. There still seems to be several other problems, including the fact that the theme loads really slowly for about 2 seconds. As a result, for the site to load, it takes even longer
