Hello,
If you want to add content to the sidebars and footer, you need to access the widgets area of WP and place content in your sidebars: http://screencast.com/t/VMEdA9Em
If your homepage does not use a side-bar but a split row in visual composer you have to add content directly in page edit like so: http://screencast.com/t/66rmu3YPUWeJ
Please read the documentation as you will find much useful information that can help you on your project:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/

Thank you!
Hello,
@teddigy
Sorry but the description cannot be moved easily from the top to the bottom of the category page. The page is made out of 3 sections the top template, the grid layout and the articles. You will have to get some hired help on this as there is no easy solution to move the description from one section to another. It can be done, but it takes a bit of time and effort to do and we cannot tackle complex tasks.
@Santosh Ronanki
Pleas open a new topic if you have a question. It’s not polite to hijack other people’s topics.
The category template is not meant to be at the bottom of the category page, but rather at the top.
As fopr the popular category, it is a demo block that is added inside the footer template. This block cannot be changed as it;s a predefined element. If you want to replace it with something else you will have to choose a different footer style that does not come with predefined content and add new blocks and widgets to it from the wp widgets area. You can read more about this here:https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
Hello,
you can add custom content inside the footer by choosing one of the footer styles that have no pre-defined content: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/ and then using the footer widgets in the wp widgets area: http://screencast.com/t/MFoQHvZ5mm
Thank you!
Hello,
Please read this topic regarding the footer content: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
Hello,
In order to replicate the footer you mentioned, you need to use a footer style that only has 2 columns and no predefined content like for example footer style 11 and then simply add your content to the footer in a text box inside the widgets area. You can read more about footer styles here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
Hello,
1) The footer will provide demo content that cannot be removed if you chose one of the footer styles that provides such content. Please chose an empty footer style and add content in the widgets area in the 3 footer widgets. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
2) The related category tags can be removed by changind the category template. Switch to one that does not have the sibling category menu from here: http://screencast.com/t/DmMslsuBW4g7
Thank you!

Hello jencinas69,
If you want to replace in your footer that three default sections -> http://screencast.com/t/5L4tPiUBE with yours desired, please notice that you will have to use the Footer template style 5 which allows you to customize your footer as you wish. So, if you are using the Footer template style 5 you will have to add in Footer 1,2,3 from the Widgets, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/ux9rx4d88qK For more information about footer template, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
For your second request, please notice that the day is affected by the WordPress language.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi, my first post, just getting started 🙂
I’ve set up a child theme with the help of the child theme support documentation. I’ve copied over the suggested templates and folder structure. I’ve used child themes before but setting them up always takes time.
At the end of the child theme support documentation it refers to some php files which can be copied over to the child theme. It gives a couple of examples but what are the others?
“The wordpress templates which are not loaded by theme API, like archives.php, header.php, etc, have child theme standard support.”
Please tell me, does it include the following?
- 404.php
- category.php
- footer.php
- header.php
- search.php
- sidebar.php
- style.woocommerce.css
Hello lospicos,
Please try to change the values from the theme panel in footer section and you will bring the desired changes ->
http://screencast.com/t/uePaMyaK Please notice that all the control over this area could be made only from there. For more information about our footer template, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello discoveringlisa,
Please notice that each our demo has their own style with different Visual Composer elements and Revolution Slider. If you have installed the baby blog, you will have to make a new page and customize it by your desire using these elements. Also, please notice that the Revolution Slider come bundled with our theme and it is not necessary to register to use the sliders. For more information about how you can use the Revolution Slider, please check their documentation here -> https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/ As you can see, this plugin is more complex and has a lot of feature through it. Please try to understand very good all these functionalities of this plugin and try to implement yourself all of these on your side because these involves customization services and we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
As you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/zYCIOQ13kNF this is the backend for your baby blog -> it is used the pagebuilder+latest articles template with the default sidebar for the right. Also, the footer template is style 14, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/gtnMEV9J
For more information about our footer templates, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello chewak,
Please notice that this type of feature come with the footer template 1 (set it by default). Also, if you are using another footer template, you will have to add it from Widgets Area in Footer 1,2 or 3, depending on what type of footer template you are using. So, please notice that the ‘POPULAR POSTS’ is a simple block 7 with popular sorting, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Ef4F15cB9o For more information about footer templates, please check our documentation here ->https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello gencmurat,
I suppose that you are referring to this -> http://screencast.com/t/oMSlXr8oBRka Please notice that this is the title of your playlist and you can remove if from Playlist settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/P2cmspYAQcMe If you want to change your footer area, first of all, you have to read our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/ and then you will should try to change the footer templates from footer section, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/9z5MFZzeq
So, if you want to translate the default strings, you have to load your own language from Translation settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/KuYKyLVC For more information about this feature, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/loading-translations/ If you want to translate other words from your website which are not covered by our translations feature, you have to use some plugins with this functionality and see how it work for you. As a hint, you can use Q Translate X plugin because most of our customers use it and they are satisfied with its functionality. Also, please notice that nor it is not a tested plugin and we cannot provide support for it and also we cannot say for sure that this will work 100% for you. Also, if you do not want to use this plugin, you have to find other plugins with this functionality and test how it works fine for you because we do not have any recommendation in this regard.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello efaq,
1)Unfortunately, your request involves custom work and we cannot provide this at the moment, sorry! Please notice that we only guide you to the right direction but we cannot make your website, sorry! Above, I explained to you how can be done this menu, I have provided you some hints in this regard, but please notice that if you are not understanding as I said, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you!
2)As you can see the message of your thumbs, please try to activate these from Theme panel->Block settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/DvnWFoaROUVW
3)Please notice that the Recent Post is a default Widget and it use the Block 9 to render your posts. As you can see in our documentation, the Block 9 do not display the featured image, but only the title of this. If you want to have another block type, please try to use footer template style 5, for example, and add there what kind of block you wish in Footer 1,2,3 -> http://screencast.com/t/AHJj0IvMXe because this footer template allows you to customize as you wish. For more references, check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
In future, for other problems, please create a new topic !!!
Thanks.
Well, they did that previously, I think back with Newspaper 4. But, NP keeps evolving since it’s one of the more popular themes out there — so, NP7 very different from NP4. Usually looking closely at the demos of both themes on themeforest with two tabs open in browser for desktop set to “wide” and then something like an iPad are good ways to compare. Differences in layout, modules, navbar, footers, category/archive pages, fonts/sizes, “preset templates” are different, etc.
Newspaper is the flagship, Newsmag is the alternate take.
Hello efaq,
1)Please notice that the custom menu would be your custom menu, created as you wish and then the custom button you have to add it to a page with Visual Composer, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/i834fsDw and there you can see the buttons for all your menu items.
2)So, I think that you understand as our theme uses a lot of modules/blocks which have a lot of thumbnails in our theme. If you are not using some blocks, you can deactivate from Theme panel the thumbnail which uses this type of blocks. For example, if you do not want to use block 3, you can turn off the module 1 and so let of forth.
3)Unfortunately, these columns come by default with our theme and you have no control about these because this is predefined. If you want to customize your footer section, you have to use the footer template style 5 because this is a custom template and you can add in it any widgets you wish in Footer 1,2,3. For more information about our footer template, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thanks.
Hello DwayneHoward,
Unfortunately, we do not have any bad reporters in this case and the correct size of the footer logo are correctly displayed in our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/ I have done some tested with all these footer templates and the correct sizes and the correct sizes are these values.
If is not what you mean, please provide more details in this regard. Also, you ca provide some useful screenshot so I can understand it better.
Thank you for your understanding!
This is apparently wrong info. The theme panel should tell the user the size for the logo. I’ve spent 2 hours (WASTED TIME FOR ME) TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT.
Footer Template Style 1,5,6,7,8
For best results use this logo size:
Footer Logo: 231 x 82px
Footer Retina Logo: 462 x 164px
Apparently, 150×82 is the correct size. It took 3 hours of my valuable time to figure this out. I only found it after inspecting the page element. I found something had programitically changed the file name of my logo. It had appended “150×82” to the end of my file name.
Here’s the location of the wrong info
https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Also, could you remove the .import.tagdiv website? It causes much confusion while Googling answers to user questions.
Hello menecez,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to change the position for Copyright because it is added on span element and if you try to change the parameters you can break the layout of the site, sorry! Also, if you are referring to decrease the distance between “Copyright Text” and sub footer menu, please notice that it is necessary to use a bit of CSS. Please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area like this: http://screencast.com/t/RLXJQhdt
.td-sub-footer-copy {
width: 750px!important;
margin-top:-25px!important;
}
The result you should see here: http://screencast.com/t/ki6mKxjY
For more information about footer template, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thanks.
Hello emalgumlugardomundo,
I have checked your screenshots and I saw that you are using the Footer style 1. This type of footer template is a default one and those 3 columns are predefined by the theme and you cannot change them but only from the code. If you want to make a custom style for your footer section, I recommend using the footer template style 5 and then adding to the Footer 1/2/3 section the data you will see these on your side. Also, you can edit them as you wish. For more information about Footer section, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you for the message!
Hello durhamcollegechronicle,
I suppose that you have to change the standard content for your footer that comes with footer template style 1, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/OlyFGdcZlR Please notice you cannot change this from the panel because these are predefined by the theme for this type of footer. If you want to create your own footer section with your own content, you have to use the Footer template style 5 because it is a custom style and you can customize it as you wish. For more information about Footer template, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about what you want to achieve so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thank you for the message!
Hello efaq,
1)Please notice that all the settings for the sidebar in the category you can find in your Theme panel. Please check the Category section for your panel and there you can find what I mean. Please notice that you have control about global category settings and per category settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/lqcuKZlsgtcn -> http://screencast.com/t/OiexOKCJDhj and then, the sidebar you can customize as you wish from Widgets area, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/TlH4iy7Fm For more information about this, please do not omit to read our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
2)If you want to make the theme update full automatically, please check this tutorial here ->>
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-automatically-update-newspaper-theme/
3)You can customize your menu, only from the panel. In order to achieve as you wish, please try to read our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/ because there you can find all the steps to configure the menu.
4)Please notice that the retina logo is only for devices that have this option, for example, Apple devices. The retina logo is used to offers you a high quality for your mobile devices while the logo mobile is a normal logo which is used for normal devices that do not have retina logo integrated. As you can see in our documentation, the header style 9,10,11 do not use the logo mobile. For more information about these settings, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/
5) a)As you can see, these are additional customizations and you can change the color only with some Custom CSS code. For example, you can use the following code and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS Area.
The code is ->
.td-category li:nth-child(1) a{
background-color:red!important;
}
.td-category li:nth-child(2) a{
background-color:blue!important;
}
The result -> http://screencast.com/t/k8Hr4KNDbB
b)These buttons are VIA/SOURCE/TAGS and you can have control over these only for panel, when editing the post, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/uc6Mb7uAw
c)You can edit from your panel as I said you above
d)Also, you can create your own tags only for the panel as you can see in the above screenshot
6)If you want to display a specific post, you have to get the post ID, using the inspector like this -> http://screencast.com/t/iqRwXivKt7 For more information about Block settings and filter option, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
7)The child theme come bundled with our theme and you can find it in Code file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/P2jEwZ5L
8)Please check here what is the standard size for the footer logo. For more information about Footer section, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
9)a)If you want to set the background image, you can do that from Theme panel->Background section. Please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/
b)If you want to have the smooth effect for your scroll, please try to use our Smoot scroll feature from Theme panel. For more information, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smooth-scroll/
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hello res,
If you want to hide the Footer Logo and Footer Retina Logo, you have to use a bit of CSS code to do that. Please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td-retina-data {
display:none;
}
.footer-logo-wrap{
display:none;
}
Also, If you want to have control for your footer section, please check the footer area from the Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/x0KRMMHsk
For more information about Footer section, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you for the message!
