Hi,
If there are no errors present when installing the demo, then everything should work as intended. First select either you want to install the demo with content or just theme panel settings and style, and click install. The import process should work properly.
Please also check the permissions on your upload folder. More useful information here
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-fix-file-and-folder-permissions-error-in-wordpress/
The second step is to make modifications to these parameters if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to check these for you, or make the modifications for you if needed. They might have a recommended method in this matter.
Also disable all plugins and clear all caching before installing a demo to make sure the plugins do not interfere with the process.
If you have made all the above mentioned changes and the result is the same, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide all the necessary information (admin login, FTP access) and we will take a look. Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks
Hello orlando,
Please make sure that you are using the latest theme version which can be downloaded from Theme Forest and install it via FTP way, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ For more information about speed optimization, please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Hello fixthisbuildthat,
It seems to be a strange behavior, sorry! Please ensure that you are using the latest theme version which can be updated via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. Clear all the caches!
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
1. Check your System status parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
2. Install Theme via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
I did the changes that you suggested. I cleared all caches and waited a week to make sure, because sometimes it takes a while for the changes to appear on my phone. Unfortunately, the problem is still happening.
On phone screens, the featured image jumps. When it loads, it is too small and there is a grey space at the bottom. But as soon as you scroll the page, the featured image zooms to the correct place. You can see that on a phone here: http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/. I have tried using many different background images…high resolution, lower resolution, and different dimensions.
Do you have another fix?
How to update the theme
Read this manual: A. Update the theme via FTP
Hello visual-h,
I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Also, if you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files, try to disable all of these and use only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hey!
Thanks for your quick reply!
I’ve disabled all plugins except the Tagdiv composer. I’m not sure if i use CDN but i don’t think so. I used the plugin WP Fastest cache. But i disabled it and deleted it. I also deleted the cache files via FTP. stil no difference. Is there something else i can try? I can also give you access to the WP dashboard so you can see for yourself.
Hello kim1,
First of all, please make sure that you are using the latest theme version and ensure that your theme updated was made via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. If the problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch and check the message!

Hello MarcoXX,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you have some errors through your console, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/rRvD8DsvfDi2 Also, I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if the problem is still there, try to make a new clean install from scratch, via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

I have hundreds of pages built with Visual Composer so I don’t want to recreate these with tagDiv Composer. I want to update to Newspaper 8.1. Currently running Newspaper 7.6.1.
I understand having both page builders activated can break things so can I achieve my goal doing the following:
1. Deactivate newspaper 7.6.1 and delete theme
2. Install newspaper 8.1 via FTP or WordPress
3. Deactivate tagDiv Composer
4. Install and activate VC 5.2 that ships with newspaper 8.1
Will tagDiv Composer only break pages built with Visual Composer if I go in and edit and save that page when I have tagDiv composer activated?
Thanks in advance
Greg

Hi,
I have inspected your console and I saw that you have some errors through it which can be caused by your untested plugins that you are using on your website. I saw them on the source page. Try to disable all of them, leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. Also, if the problem is still there, you should try making a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case and check the results.

Hello firazra,
Please notice that for each theme update, you should make a full backup to avoid losing data. Do you have it? After this, you should make a full theme install via FTP way according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ Our latest theme was fully tested and should work as expected, without any problem. For more information about this problem, please consult the following useful guide here -> http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-wordpress-white-screen-of-death/

Hi! I would like for the author name to be in Normal text, not all capital letters. Also, the bottom link, which says “Read more” here (http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/community/) has a bright blue hover color. I want it to be my chosen blue color #406e87. How can this be adjusted? Thanks for your help!

Hello Coenfeba,
Please keep in mind that we do not recommend to remove any files from our theme’s packet, sorry! Why do you want to remove it? Please notice that each file from the theme’s packet has a specific role and if you want to achieve best theme results you should keep the files together. Please notice that file does not cause any problems with the theme, sorry! Most likely, the cause of your problems are the untested plugins which can interact with this file and cause this problem/issue, sorry! Please disable all of them, leave just only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files, clear all the caches and check the results.

Hi,
So my older posts don’t seem to have the same under content info:
http://streamtheplanet.com/best-kodi-box-2017-review/
This issue only started after I updated to the new version. Also, none of the automated update options worked, I had to manually update via FTP. Will I have to do that for all updates?
Can someone please advise?
Hello miket,
Do you have tried all the above advice regarding on this problem? First of all, you should re-install the theme via FTP way and also, make sure that your theme version was the latest one. Hi admin,
I would like to customize some codes in my homepage’s html. Where usually will the file directory of this index.html in FTP?
Thanks
Hello lazdim,
Ensure that you are not using any other untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Remove all of these, clear all the caches and check the results. To be sure, make a full backup to your database and re-download the latest theme packet and make a new install of the theme via FTP way.
For the latest request, regarding on title length, notice that our theme has an option for this, in Theme panel, Excerpts section. For more information about this, please check the following documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/excerpts-introduction/

Hi,
Something is not functioning properly with the theme. This might be caused by custom CSS, or plugins. A suggestion would be to remove any theme customization or additions from the theme panel or theme files and folder, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and check if the problem is solved.
Ultimately you can try a fresh theme install and make no customization, to see if everything is working as intended
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
I could give you a code to fix this, but it may not be the proper solution
– https://www.screencast.com/t/W6mMrmNvm
.td-menu-mob-open-menu,
.td-search-opened {
position: static;
}
It would still be highly recommended to get to the source of the issue.
Thanks
There is no theme with such an archive feature as themes manage design and general look/dbase queries, not backup/archive of content or dbase, or deleting old images and content.
You might look at some options that have been around for many years to auto-expire posts, which is how most people do that for issues of system resources.
Also, you can conserve disk space by uploading your images via FTP, then loading in to the post by pasting in URL; then use a plugin to simply auto generate one ‘featured’ image and related thumbs from FIRST POST. That’s how we do it on various sites.
one example – https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-expirator/
