Yes, you do need to leave white space and not “fill up” the menu or it will wrap on things like iPad portrait mode.

Ideally overflow should be hidden, or we should have option to add CSS to each menu element such as “hidden-tablet” to the rightmost menus which would then remove those items from the layout.

I guess if you’re using php, then it’s a different problem than what I thought you were having since CSS should ideally be able to hide portions of a CSS menu on specific devices, but no idea how to do that with the theme.

Yes by hand there is no problem, actually it fits in regular monitor, the problem is with monitors under 1080!
I’m gonna see if is any way around, using php!

Hi,

In that case you have to remove the css which hides the header from custom css in theme panel and select header style 6 http://screencast.com/t/TgkIv0GMVk and then from header.php file comment or remove this line: http://screencast.com/t/wYFy305hp12

Hi

I added a custom post type to my site and added a custom template for it. I named the custom template “single-products.php” but it is connecting with the theme’s “single.php” and its not showing the code from single-products.php. the code for single-products.php is:

Hi Lucian, by “next version,” did you mean 4.1? If so, the header ad still overlaps the logo in 980px mode.

Is there a bit of custom CSS you could offer to move move the header ad to the right?

You can manually edit the menu items to change them, so if you have “new book reviews” you can change that to “book reviews” … or remove items, or make subcategories…

e.g.,

reviews
> book reviews
> music reviews
> movie reviews

etc.

You can manually adjust what in your menu to make as few or as many items as you want, change names, shorten things, or put them in sub-category drop downs.

Hi, is there any way limit the amount of menu items by css or php?
I got many items in the header menu, and when I resize the windows, they appear in a new line under the header menu!

Featured Videos Not Working In All New Post Templates - topic

Just updated to latest version but sadly still not all the new post templates work for a featured video post. The controls of the video go under the new post headers. I would like to use the style 3 post template for all my posts but can’t as many of my posts have featured videos. 🙁 Apart from that everything is fine. A good idea would be to choose different post templates for different post categories within the theme panel which could solve the problem.

468 x 60 ad shows as 728 x 90 - topic

I put in google adsense code for a 468 X 60 header ad but it shows as 728 X 90
I understand the theme has responsive ads – which is great and I want it to work for me, but I need my chosen ad size to be the max size and not increased / ignored by the theme – can I do it ?

It worked just perfect.. Thanks Lucian. However, header ad slot doesn’t appear just below navigation. How can I put ad adsense or any other ad just below navigation on all pages?

Hi,

The logo appears there because it’s like a menu-item from that list now. Please chose the “header style 2” from Theme Panel and set to hide the header only on screens with the minimum width of 768px using this code in Custom CSS > Theme Panel:

@media (min-width: 768px) {
.td-header-bg {
display: none !important;
}
}

Also remove this code: 

.td-header-bg {
display: none !important;
}

and

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-bg {
display: block !important;
}
}

from Theme Panel > Custom CSS filed.

@seitenprofi Use the same method to add the logo like a menu-list item and them position it using CSS like you want it.
For the logo to be shown on mobile chose the menu style 2 and use the @media or the advanced CSS from Theme Panel http://screencast.com/t/CvwEyAOxSxb2 to hide the header from other screens or the above CSS:

@media (min-width: 768px) {
.td-header-bg {
display: none !important;
}

Hi Lucian,

I’m using header style 4 (menu + (logo + ad)), but since I don’t have a logo it appears as if it’s a full with ad. I only placed the standard AdSense code in the “Header Ad” section of the theme panel.

If you need anything else, let me know.

Please try to add this !important to all custom CSS.

Like this:

display:none !important;
}

Thanks MIXVICE for the advice….it worked.
Using sFTP access, I first saved the PLUGINS folder as “disabled_plugins”
Then deleted the PLUGINS folder
Was then able to access the WP admin manager
Changed the name of “disabled_plugins” back to PLUGINS
All the required plugins reloaded and everything worked well.

I also no realize that I didn’t have a list of other plugins we had previously installed and so am having to review and reactivate the non-required plugins that were lost.

Since no new info posted here are some of my findings so far which I need your input on ASAP:

* Similar issue on WPML forum – http://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-can-i-translate-theme-options-content/
* From the response – this may be the missing link http://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/

(I did not see you include wpml-config.xml)

I am not sure why you listed the site as WPML compatible, but what I need is separate option panel per language to set:

* different header (image logo & text per panguage)
* different footer
* different template settings – to account for RTL / LTR on non category pages
* different translations – since it’s DIFFERENT LANGUAGES obviously…
* different Custom CSS

(Of course you can do a complete compatibility – but the above is a must!)

the demo logo for NEWSPAPER on themeforest appears to simply be a variation of Helvetica, such as Helvetica Neue, or Arial BLACK, etc. — you can easily recreate that simply by trying out the fonts pre-installed on your computer if you are running MS Office, any Adobe products, etc. as you likely already have the font.

TIP: download the graphic for logo from demo, then simply put that on a layer in Photoshop, and make partially transparent, then type in NEWSPAPER on the new layer and adjust font to match, then change the text to the lettering for your brand/site name. The “background” show through image is from Photoshop it looks like and *not* part of the font itself, which is not common for vector based fonts.

If you already have AI then you likely have the font already; start with Helvetica, Arial, and similar.

Hi Team Tag Div,

For me, just like in Peter’s case, the sticky menu (floating header) doesn’t work anymore, since V 4.0 (and until V 4.0.2).

So I must keep running the V 3.9.2.

Can you solve it in the next update ? The sticky menu is very important.
