Hi,
Our theme content cannot be full width. Only the header, footer and specific visual ocmposer elements can be full width. but in order to do so, you need to remove any background color or image like specified here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/
Thank you!

Never mind – My child theme has an older version of the header.php file. Problem is solved.

On mobile devices tapping the search from the header produces a zoom effect, but no input field. I can replicate this on a desktop if I squeeze the browser width to less than 768px.

This happens even when all plugins are disabled, including Visual Composer.

Here’s what it looks like in a screenshot:

I have the latest version 7.2 and the latest VC that came with it.

Andrei,

Thank you. That worked. So do you not recommend using child themes? We had made some header modifications that we wanted to preserve, but if Child Themes are just going to get in the way we won’t use them with your theme.

Thanks, again.

Hi,

I did what you said but It din´t work yet…

The header.php file was like that:

<body <?php body_class() ?> itemscope=”itemscope” itemtype=”<?php echo td_global::$http_or_https?>://schema.org/WebPage”>

<div id=”fb-root”></div>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/pt_BR/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.6&appId=1006446862796383″;
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));</script>

<?php /* scroll to top */?>
<div class=”td-scroll-up”><i class=”td-icon-menu-up”></i></div>

<?php locate_template(‘parts/menu-mobile.php’, true);?>
<?php locate_template(‘parts/search.php’, true);?>

<div id=”td-outer-wrap”>
<?php //this is closing in the footer.php file ?>

It´s a but different than the example you showed, the exemple you showed was a newsmag, my one is a newspaper.

The loop-single.php was like that:

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_content();?>
<div class=”fb-comments” data-href=”<?php echo https://portalmaesefilhos.com.br/ ($td_mod_single->post->ID); ?>” data-width=”600″ data-numposts=”5″></div>

</div>

So, I just paste the in the files you showed, but I went to my website and nothing changed!

I didn´t make any change in the single.php file, I saw you marked with a red box thos files, but I didn´t do anything in there.

Now I will put the orinal codes in header.php and loop-single.php and think what I can do to solve it.

Thanks again!

Hello
The link is frugalhn.com/america

I will like to recreate this on the main menu –>http://www.screencast.com/t/gUSzWRGe

I was able to modify it now through the css. I need to modify the style on <div class=”td-header-menu-wrap-full”style height:60px;”> I tried it on my browser and works for me around 49px, but i need to add the black line on the buttom so “CENTROAMERICA” is readable on top of the black line.
Also, please tell me how to insert it on the html.

Hi

I am not very sure what you’re trying to do but I assume that you want to add some custom meta tags for your site. If this is the case you can edit header.php and place the code here: http://screencast.com/t/6SvqwtRPuSD
Most of these tags can also be added using SEO By Yoast plugin and here you can read more about this: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/yoast-wordpress-seo-titles-metas-template-variables/

Thanks!

Hi,

You did not provided your site url so we can inspect this. Also you could change the header template if you have many menu items and you can reduce the font size for your items.
The modifications for stylesheet file should work, also if you paste the code in Theme Panel > Custom Css. Please clear all your caches, maybe it is a caching issue.

Thanks!

Hi,

Just wondering how I am able to change the order of appearance of the drop down menu options on the header? I know how to re-arrange the primary menus order (just dragging and moving them in the menu section into order) but it’s the actual sub menu that drops down that I’m hoping to re-arrange orderwise?

For example, on my news site I hover over “USA” and the following options drop down as sub menus –

All
Politics
News
Election

^It’s the order of these that I am trying to work out how to change?

Thanks.
(and sorry for the rambling – just trying to make sure what I am trying to work out is understood as I don’t really know all the proper terminology)

Okay thanks, I get it.

These meta tags the theme introduced in my previous [Point Pro]. I want to know if it is possible to implement in this topic or if any of them that is not necessary because the subject has that option.
Is being introduced in Appearance – Editor – Header.php
Which I can implement and what is not necessary. Meet other labels that can meditation be utililes?

Hi

Css code from style.css file can be overwritten with custom css in theme panel > custom code > custom css. For example you can remove that white background using this code: http://screencast.com/t/QIluxXliUp

.td-banner-wrap-full, .td-header-menu-wrap-full {
background: transparent;
}

Hope this helps.
Thanks!

Thanks Bogdan, but that is not what I want.

The screenshot that you are looking at – that doesn’t exist. I know that people are asking a lot of stupid questions in this forum before reading the documentary, but this is not such a stupid question…

The screenshot is not an actual website, it’s what I want to achieve and is entirely made up in Photoshop so you understand my question more clearly.

Underneath (next two posts) I almost figured it out – almost. Can you help me with the last step? (hiding background-color in class .td-banner-wrap-full, .td-header-menu-wrap-full)

Edward
tagDiv Member

If I manage to disable the background-color in style.css – it looks exactly like I want it to look like.

(line 1405 regarding to my debug console)

.td-banner-wrap-full, .td-header-menu-wrap-full {
    background-color: #fff;
}

I can do simple CSS, and know a bit about !important, but honestly I have no idea how to hide a css attribute via the custom code (without deleting it from the main css).

Maybe we have a CSS Expert here that can help?

Hi,
Speedbooster has a compatibility function in it;s code and t will not work with all plugins unfortunately. Please follow this topic to learn more about this and how it can be disabled: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
For the social networks, please provide more details to what social networks are not working where? header? social counter plugin ? footer?
Translations can be made in the theme panel->translations section

Hi,

The method you use will not work that way. I have investigated this a bit and found these results to work:
Add the js from Facebook after the body tag in header.php: http://screencast.com/t/97g6RJdc02cp then you need to add the code for the facebook comments in the file corresponding with the post template used like so: http://screencast.com/t/TpOJKoUG8ghttp://screencast.com/t/mahp4jf2

<div class="fb-comments" data-href="<?php echo get_permalink($td_mod_single->post->ID); ?>" data-width="100%" data-numposts="5"></div>

Thank you!

Hi,

The responsive css was there all along 🙂 not part of the update. The header styles were created based on the default 728×90 ads. You can use this custom css to change the width of the container to one that will suit your needs:
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-recs{
width: 620px!important;
}

I set it to 620 px but you can change this value to whatever you wish.

Hi

You can make the menu always sticky from theme panel > header > main menu: http://screencast.com/t/CogastglKB
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Friends,

I’m running version 7.2 of the theme and I installed the latest version of Visual Composer that came bundled with the theme.

The issue I’m having is that my site is only displaying in one column, even though I have setup a 2/3, 1/3 layout on the homepage. I’ve search the forums for similar issues, but I’ve yet to find a fix.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

I recently bought this theme and I’m impressed. The only complain I have is that in Header style 1, where one can have logo + ads, the logo needs to be very small.

In my site I use specific ads for the header, not google, but custom ads made by actual local businesses in my area. I use the size 468×90 and align=”right”.

So, right now, my site looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/HHjB2T5.jpg

I hit ctrl+A on purpose to show the big gap between the logo and the ad. So, I guess there is some room for the logo to get bigger and make the ad container smaller to match the actual header width?

Also, reducing the top padding will cause problems? Because there’s also big gap between top menu and the logo…

Thank you!

Is there a way to keep the mobile menu header always visible? Right now I only seem to be able to get it to stay when users scroll upwards (it disappears when they scroll down).

Thanks.

Hi,

1) I’m not sure what space you are referring to unfortunately as I canot see any spaces. If the main menu not being centered is the issue, it;s just the header style that does not have a centered menu. You can swithc to one with centered menu from the theme panel headers section. (chose header style 10)
2) If the top social icons are the ones in question, they can be moved with this css code:
.td-header-sp-top-widget{
position:fixed;
right:5px!important
}

Thank you!
